*Drake waves goodbye as the replacement hero leaves the hall* "Well.....I guess that now that that's over we have nothing to do...." *Drake hears a small wail from downstairs* "Except go figure out what that is."

Thothwick re-entered the Hall, and walked up to the Quest Board. He looked from the Quest, to Hoptet sitting in the saloon above.

"I need some time to recuperate".

"Eubricans", Hoptet said to Scaro with a wink.

"Now now, my love, they're not all bad... Say! There might be someone who you'd enjoy meeting."

Alexis comes into the hall with her new gems and the knowledge that Ellaria was going to be alright. She headed upstairs and headed over to the table where she saw two species sitting next to each other.

"I do not believe we've met, my name is Alexis Fenral. It appears you've just come back from a quest, how did your quest go?"

Haldor turned to see Alexis enter the hall, she seemed taller, and different. Haldor made his way over to her.

"Har, friend Alexis. Good to see you once more, how is the life? I now trained further with my skills, and now I am called a 'Shaman'. But was visited in a vision, by Thoric, my diamond seems to bear his likeness and it links me to Jess. I now try to be strong knowing that Thoric take an interest. You look different, how have you been holding up?

You have heard from Althior? I not seen him since before I last left. Hope he alright and standing strong.

I have not seen young Ellaria in while, I heard that she was with child. Have you seen her recently? I want to know that see alright and if she need help. I want to know who had hurt her." Haldor's face hardened at the thought of poor, frail Ellaria hurt, he asked again if he could help.

Maurice went disappointed to the Temple of Ennoc after he had returned the stolen Hinckwell wares to its rightful owners. The last quest had been a huge failure from the heroes part, at least that was Maurice's opinion. Instead of fulfilling their mission, the heroes had let the pirate leader escape and supported the no-good family of Ji Pei. Through trickery and deceit they had still gotten a big reward, but the gold did not only weight down Maurice's purse but his conscience as well.

At the Temple he went up to the idol of Ennoc and said his prayers, asking for guidance and forgiveness from the Righteous Light. He knew that even though he had argued against the dishonourable choice in the quest, he still had guilt in what had happened. He should have argued harder and if necessary stopped his quest mates with force, Ennoc would had supported him.

After his prayers, Maurice went to see the High Priestess Alisameth. He wanted to hear if he had gathered enough experience to be accepted back into the Order and if not, if there was anything he could do to speed up that process. As he walked through the white corridors of the large complex that was the Paladin Order's high quarters he also wondered on what he would do with the money he had got. Perhaps a donation to the Temple would be the best option. A lot of people were walking in the corridors, most of them members of the Order in one way or another. Maurice spotted priests chanting prayers, clerics carrying crates with potions and elixirs, battle-hardened Soldiers of the Light, some noble members of the Righteous Council, young novices in dark blue garments and simple servants always in a hurry somewhere. The Paladin Order was a grand organisation and the activity was high. "Soon", thought Maurice. "Soon I'll be part of that again."

High Priestess Alisameth was pleased to see Maurice, but unfortunately she had disappointing news.

"You are not quite there yet, Maurice. You need to find harmony between your mind and body, a Paladin knows what he feels and feels what he knows. You don't lack the skills, I know you haven't forgotten your sword and shield technique and Ennoc has blessed you with healing miracles, but you need to combine them in a perfect way to be able to advance. You must know when to fight and feel when to heal and vice versa. Master this and we will welcome you back to the Paladin Order."

Maurice bowed his head and accepted the High Priestess' words. He knew them was right and he had had a feeling that he wasn't quite ready yet. He then asked about advice for what to do with the money. Would the Temple appreciate a donation?

"We aren't really in any need for gold at the moment, Maurice, but thank you for your offer. Money is rolling in from our conquest up north and now that the pirates are gone we hope to take up our trading again. I suggest you use that money to prepare yourself for future quests. No matter how faithful follower of Ennoc you are, you can't always rely on his support in battles. Make sure you got the best equipment before you set out and you will be able to serve the Light much better."

Maurice thanked Alisameth for her advice and went back out into the streets of Eubric. The sun was setting behind the Sungold hill and he realized that the market was closing, he would have to do his shopping the next day. So Maurice Ratibor the Cleric walked back to the Heroica Hall and carefully avoided eye contact with any of his recent quest mates as he found his way to an empty chair in Scheherazade's Saloon.

"Hello, Ms. Fenral. Well surmised, I have indeed just returned from Salmanda, on a quest to save the matriarch of the Ziegfrieds. We fought a Wyvern - a foul smelling Dragon-like creature, an undead unicorn - a most tragic sight, and a bipedal hut - the dwellings of an evil witch. The quest was mostly a success, but we lost young Master Bluto Ziegfried to the witch, Baba, after he insisted on joining us after stowing away on his families ship. He's still alive, but is her captive. Had it not been for..."

Thothwick puts his hand on Hoptet's.

"... I would have considered it a failure. This is Hoptet, and new Heroica recruit, whom we rescued from imprisonment in a menagerie. We grew close in Salmanda, and grew closer still on the ship back. I'm teaching him Humanish, aren't I, Hoptet?"

Hoptet weighed his words carefully, making sure his words were correct.

"Yes. I learn Human. Hello Alexis. Your Heroica? Your Quest?"

"Hello Hoptet, yes I've been her almost a year, on my last quest we were shipwrecked on an island with a crazy old man who we fought and defeated, I got this phoenix," Mandy comes and lands on the table. "From him as we had to fight her as well. In the end we did manage to complete our quest."

Maurice accepts the water from the barbarian.

"Thanks Alf! Yes, my most recent quest was a huge failure and I'm still not ready to return to the Paladin Order. That are the reasons why I'm not so happy at the moment, but I will keep my patience, with the help of Ennoc."

"Well perhaps you should assign your name to the latest quest along with us to take your mind off things?" Nur grinned as he joined his former questmates. "Cleaning up a quarry will provide a nice distracting workout. We'll sweat a little on a relaxing quest while doing a good deed for a citizen of Eubric. I'm sure Ennoc will approve."

*Drake slowly groans as he is pulled back in to the hall* "This man has been severely injured and he cannot move for some reason. We shall take him to the hospital where he will be treated with care, and tomorrow morning he will be better than ever!"1 nurse said. And with that drake was pulled back out of the hall.

Hybros's eyes narrowed into slits when he saw Maurice step back in. Who was he really fighting for, anyway? The Paladin Order? Hybros scoffed. If it was them for who he wished to fight for, then he should be there, not here in the Hall. His sense of self-righteousness and way of doing everything by the book (of Ennoc) was repulsive. Once he had seemed like a valuable quest mate, but now Hybros had to avoid this cleric. He searched the room for Eric...

"Ah Haldor, good to see you again. I've been doing fairly well myself. A Shaman you say? What new powers have you gained from that training?

And when I use my energy to heal I can take life from foes as well. It is like a hit on the enemy and a help for friend in one instant.

"Hello, I don't think I've seen you before. Would you be so kind as to lend me 100 or 50 gold?"

Skrall the Ogre walked into the hall, his jacket was muddy and torn, his crossbow string tattered and his cap was missing quite a few feathers. He made sure to duck his head upon entering and took a seat on an empty bench and let out a long sigh.

Skrall looked up and managed a faint smile at the approaching rouge. "Fruitless! That witch is harder to track than a white fox in a blizzard. Even with all my trainin' I still wasn' able to find a single trace, if ya ask me, I think it's part of that chaos magic of hers." Skrall took off his hat and leaned his back against the hall wall. "So what has been keepin' ya occupied since we last seen each other?"

*Drake walks back into the hall with a piece of parchment and sticks the parchment on the wall next to the door*

If anyone doesn't mind giving drake flamerobe 50 gold, then write your name underneath this letter. Then on april 3rd, drake will come and collect the gold from any person on the list. You don't have to give drake 50 gold, you can just give him under 50 gold, so put the amount you are giving him next to your name.

"Heh heh. That'll get me some money quickly."

Skrall glanced down as an individual with a torch strapped to his back walked into the hall and posted a note to the quest board. He called down to the knight, "Posted a new quest have ya? Why don't ya come up here and enlighten me with the details?"

OoC: Yes you can do this, but I wouldn't expect many people to answer it without more information.

"Oh, it isn't a quest, it's a way to get me more money. I only have 5 gold and I need more. Say, do you want to sign your name up?"

"That depends I'm afraid I don't know you. Why don't you come keep a weary ogre company and tell me a little about yerself and then we'll talk about investin' in yer venture." Skrall ordered two tankards of ale and sat back as he waited for the knight to make his way over to the table.
