Cronk reenters the hall and sits back down next to Skrall.

Hello again. Cronk had tiny bit of shopping to do. Cronk thought Cronk should make Cronk's back up weapon stronger. Cronk can bash battle ants faster now.

IC: A short while passed before De'kra woke up on the floor, panting heavily despite his lack of a respiratory system. As De'kra got up he managed to glare at Arthur despite his lachk of expression. "No kill I," he said firmly, "It hits more than Karzahni. And if you stop slave work in Karzahni, you body turn to stone. Where that come from anyway? It not about that god thing right?"

OOC: hooray, we finally have an image of De'kra in the hall. Of course, I am remaking his image soon. Curse you cruel fate, and you too space police 3!

"I thought...you were about to go all funny again, and forget everything. You are a creature of shadow--physically, I mean, or at least you look it, so I thought if I blasted you it would help you stop...whatever that was...from taking you over again..." He looked around. "Where the heck is Cinna, anyway? She was there when you...died...on Quest 4, she'll know how to fix...whatever is happening to you."

"Hey, I never fought in the hall, I just had a drinking contest. I haven't fired a spell at anyone yet."

"You froze me in a block of ice after you wussed outta our drinkin' contest."

IC: De'kra glanced at Arthur closely before looking away. "It not so simple. I not really darkness incarnate, I shadow in different way. I echo of what I was, like ruins of once great city. I think I rename I species echo now, you not the first person to get confuse."

OOC: De'kra has become an echo! This changes gameplay in no way whatsoever!

IC: De'kra turned back and clicked, "I no think I possess, back home people only able to turn possess if they have no conscious and no spirit. Basically only vulnerable if projecting spirit, or if they fully mechanical. But I think whatever happen, you stop. I still remember you mention "being-who-not-I-but-I," not sure of anything else though. I think that because you kill I could "go funny," it glitch the event and let I remember. Probably best not to talk of that person for now, I might forget again. Sorry for I lash at you, I just not like when I die. It empty, totally empty, and everything around you hurts. Karzahni feels better."

"I don't think anyone likes dying, De'kra. I think that's why people try so hard to avoid it."

"And in other news...where the heck is Cinna? According to this Quest book, she's back in Eubric, but I don't see her anywhere..."

Atramor merely sipped his rum, being sure to keep an occasional eye on McCafferey as Arthur attempted to 'heal' De'kra. He wanted to keep the chicken out of what was surely an invigorating conversation about death and darkness. It already astounded him as to how much she knew on the matters...he flicked one troublesome dreadlock away from his eye and examined the Elven Staff. If anything, it would at least make a good backup weapon.

IC: De'kra nodded with a mood as deep and dark as his body, before he clicked, "But most people no come back, and those that come back no remember if they see anything. Most no have to live and know pain before them, I mean really know."

"I sure where Makuta now," added De'kra after a grim pause, "last I saw her was before barbarian try to attack I before he randomly pass out. Also, what you think about many quests to Dastan? You think there reason three teams of heroes go to foreign country at same time?" The shade echo resisted the urge to glance about the hall towards the portraits of the veterans, though it wasn't easy.

"Destiny perhaps? There is something weighty and elusive about that land, I foresee great and terrible events of our world taking place there. It will take all three teams of Heroes to protect Olegaia. Only in unity can we accomplish our duty to achieve our destiny."

OOC: I see what you did there.

IC: De'kra nods softly, and chirped, "Back home all loves defined by those three virtues, unity, duty, destiny. Virtue of destiny was to exist as best you you could exist as, duty was what define you, gave you purpose. Unity merges weakest villagers into powerful force, turns fallen nations into reborn kingdoms. And unity even simpler than that. Unity how villager elder led his people, he part of them and thus keep they interest at heart. That has shades of duty too, but unity plays part. Unity could kill gods, if done right. Uland lacks all those virtues, houses of Eubric abuse citizens, for example Shadeaux start war for profit in Quest 4. Prodigy peasant child was kill in Quest 10, but no one notice save ironically Shadeaux youth. Leader of education center she went to still cover up her death. This land sometimes hurt I like death, it feel almost as wrong as void..."

"Oh, does anyone want to have a drinking contest ?" asked Mizuki.

Drake noticed someone asking everyone if they wanted a drinking contest. Drake casually walked up the stairs as a few people watched in confusion, and he stepped onto the rails and shouted "I want to have a drinking contest!" pretty loudly. Then he stepped into the saloon, ordered a large keg of beer and sat down at a table.

"You had amnesia, mate. 'Sides, you're a Sage now, ain't drinkin' frowned upon or somethin'?" Atramor chuckled.

"If that's the case, count me out, mate," Arthur chuckles. "I'm not really sure which path I'll take when I reach my True Potential full strength. What about you, Atramor? What path would you have taken if you had been a Mage?"

"Please, drinking is frowned upon where I come from, it ain't stopping me!" Althior laughed. He turned towards Arthur, "Say Arthur, want to try out that gem in the arena? I could give you a few tips on controlling it."

"Well, let's see."

Atramor recounts the Fox's description of the mage classes, although most of his mind at that time was devoted to unraveling McCaffery's words.

"Sorcerer, maybe, but that's just me. 'Parently Tonics are important to mages, and with all that gold, won't be too tough to get ahold of....well, a damn good bit. Not to mention when you take damage, you return the favor...confusion helps too. If not, and if you've got a sharp blade, and you're up to it, Battle Mage might be the way to go. Nyx was blowin' up enemies like a handcannon on my last quest...of course, you're opened to more damage with counters, but the extra critical hits more than make up fer that.

I wouldn't do Mystic Knight, unless ya' buy a damn cheap shield and pray for enchantments. And then of course there's Evoker, but ya' gotta get a bow to make use of that class properly, and, well, you're not gettin' any stronger from the back row....no offense, Alexis....and, well, you yourself said no to Sage."

He takes a heavy gulp of his rum.

"Sounds like a plan to me! I, Arthur Justus Regulus VII (Flipz), would like to challenge my master Althior Emorith (K-nut), to a duel!"

Xander was one of the last heroes from Quest #17 to enter the hall; he had taken his time outside, admiring the changing of the season and all that came with it. Once inside the large building, he surveyed his surroundings with calm efficiency. Nothing out of the ordinary, he thought to himself, besides more heroes than he remembered when he departed many months ago. He caught a slight commotion out of the corner of his eye; the two mages that he quested with, it seemed, had not gotten all of the fighting out of their systems. He quickly strode over to the quest board, signing his name under Quest #29 and Quest #31, and settled in a dimly lit part of the hall.

Noticing his fellow barbarian, Helm slowly walks toward him and then nods a greeting.

Alexis watches as some mage, who she thinks is Arthur, wacks Dre'ka with a spell.

"Hey that wasn't very nice! Come over here and Althior will tell you that's not what you do." At this point she leans over and kisses Althior on the cheek, and wishes him good luck! "If Althior won't teach you any manners, I suppose a few rounds in the arena with me wouldn't hurt."

"Hm, oh, yes but Evokers do seem to be quite a bit of the back row "tanks" if you ask me though."

"I s'pose, but I'm 3 levels below you and still have 9 more health. It'd make a good duel in the Arena. And De'kra's an...odd being. Arthur seems to understand 'im better than most, I wouldn't worry 'bout it."
