Leo Aragon hastily raises his shield blocking all the fire from the ranger.

William does a backflip and lands. He is dazed as more memories flood in, the failed campaign on Tarsis and his cleric, Morgan, dying in his arm from an encounter with a squad of Chaos troops. The pain as he took the brunt of a fireball and how his arm was nearly amputated. Snapping back into the present. "Gods! Arghhh! What was I thinking???" "Sorry for attacking you." "My mind went into a total blank."

" Do not worry. I have done some foolish things myself. It is right that you should hate my species, for I do too. But do not judge us for the deeds of Keveak, Ricroar.

"And Davril, Belril aaannnd the invisible guy. Those Brobics swarmed us and we fought an entire war against them and now I'm off on another Quest to fight the people who I fought with. This is one vicious cycle of "I eat you, you eat me" it's funny almost."

Memories of elves swarming across a fast rushing river, stones flying through the air, the numbness in his arms as he discharged a huge amount of Lightning energy. He shuddered, them spat at the traitor to the fair name of elves, then traveled to the library to research the new Elven dialect he had learned. He prided himself on his linguistics, and seeing a variation of his native tongue he didn't know was an insult to his pride. He also wanted to learn what some of those curses meant, one could never have too many obscenities in their vocabulary. As he left, he idly penned down his name for Quest 32.

"I have a Jo-no Tree seed (Gives hero hastened effect, one Nostrum, one Mead, and one Potion outside of battle. Value: apprx. 80 gold.) that I would be interested in selling, any takers?"

"Also, I have a few extra potions so if you'd like to pick up a couple extra for discount then ask me "

Drake was sitting down in the saloon, enjoying a bottle of rum, which was most peoples choice of drink. He hung his head low, depressed....like he always was. He again reflected upon his past, and his eyes started to well up with tears as he remembered his parents....he had been alone since then. He walked over to scheherazade and asked for some more rum. He was given another bottle, and he sat down, wishing for some company.

IC: I was miffed. I saw the heroes being contracted for Quest 29 being led away, the door slamming shut behind them. Will I ever get a chance to be a hero? Not too discouraged, I sign up for Quest 32.

...If I do get contracted, I'll have to get a more effective vieling hood. I don't want to scare off the children when we find them in whatever dismal place they are in.

"...Oush," Alisha said, stretching and yawning nonchalantly at the bar, then burping loudly. Her pains from the Quest still hadn't gone away, even though she'd been drinking mead and wine by the gallon. Her speech was slurred, her vision wavy, and her steps wobbly as she stumbled toward some forlorn corner of the Hall, wanting to be alone for a while. Her eyes crossed a bit as she tried to concentrate on someone coming toward her, but it was no use. Too much alchohol hadn't done her much good. The person bumped her shoulder as they walked by, and she muttered a garbled "Jackash." She sat down heavily, dust whoomphing from the cushions of a seat in a corner of the bar, next to a young boy in the clothing of a Rogue, whom she vaguely recognized from a picture she had seen while she was at the Hall before. Someone she had written letters to during her Quest. Couldn't remember the name. Nonetheless, she spoke, obviously drunk. "Hullo, I shink I remember you from shomewere...."

Alexis enters the hall, and sees a new face, that looks something like a Barbarian, at least to her, sitting at the bar looking a bit drunk. She heads over to say hello.

"Hello there dearie, my name is Alexis Fenral, Evoker. Who would you be?" She says with a sweet smile.

IC: Why is it customary for heroe's to chug wine and brew after a battle/ all it does is render your reactioans useless and your mindset worthless. I've only had about a glass or two of wine in my life; unfortunately, undead can't develop alchohol resistance. And since I was necromancered back as a child... i quite literally have the resistance of a 2 year old. Nonetheless, i decided to give a sip of grape wine a try.

Instant regret followed. The first slip nearly knocked me out, me haivng to support myself with my elbows flush on the table. Shaking, but managing to keep my speech somewhat not-slurred, I make my way over to a woman at the end of the bar sitting next to a barbarian. The pheonix she had seemed cute, in a hell-fire inferno type of way.

"Excushe me, madam. Do you know any way to... get alchohol out of your ssssystem?"

I was basically desperate at this point. I was subject to fall unconcious at any time, I bet.

Alexis watches as another drunk hero walks up. "Why does everyone have to get drunk all the time?" she thinks.

"Well, I'm not sure myself, I've never been much of a drinker. Maybe you could try some water, or I suppose I could try to help you with my aquamarine gem."

IC: I've never been mortified this much in my life. My heart was racing unnaturally - and for cause i'm not sure. i've faced down abominations without losing my somber attitude, and yet here my heart was bursting at the prospect at talking to another person.

"Anything you can do would be much obliged. I-I see you got another.. "patient" over there, so I really must apologize for this. my name is Sorrow. I'm afraid i really can't make a good impressionat this point, but any help I would be grateful for. I had no clue alchohol would do this to me...haven't had a glass for 400 years."

I'm using my scythe as a cruth with one hand and my other hand on my heart. I took my hand off to find that not only the area where my heart is quite obiously moving up and down rapidly, but i could actually hear it loud it clear. Urp.

"She's not responding right now. Hope that's not a bad sign. Hm, alright I'll try my gem. I don't know how this will feel, so let me know if it hurts."

Alexis gets out her Aquamarine and tries to flush out Sorrows system with some fresh water. She watches to see how it will affect him.

IC: It was a refreshing cool burst that certainly quenched my thirst better than any brew could, but there was something wrong. A fly flew overhead. In a swift motion, I swiftly pinched it between two fingers in a scissor motion. My other hand remained on my heart, hammering and hammring louder and louder. it almost seemed to echo in the room. I looked at the drunken barbarian the woman was sitting next to. The barbarian was sluggish and slow with her thought's impaired - not shaking and off balanced. Everyone else in the room was the same as the barbarian. my voice was more in pain then slurred. And my reactions still remain astute, as proved by that poor fly.

And my heart continued to speed up with every deduction. I wasn't drunk - I've seen this before. One of the elderly necromancers I live dnext to had this ailment before; he didn't surivve.

In my ribcage, my heart seemed like it was banging on my ribs to be freed.

"Of all the things... that had to give out.. in my life... it had to be the heart..." I murmur as I slump onto a stool, still cluthcing the blood pumping dynamo in my chest.

Heart attack.

"I truly thank you for your time, madam, but I realize now I was sorely mistaken. I'm not drunk - I think the wine triggered a.. Hurkk.. Heart attack..."

Every syllable was laced with pain. I attempted to stand up, hobbling and gasping. Eventually, I had to sit back downafter a few seconds and started breathing deeply.

Of all the things that had to have failed it had to be this.

Drake chugged down more rum and left the saloon, looking a bit drunk because he was drunk. "Get outta mah way!" Drake said to no-one in particular. He stumbled into some hero and landed on a dusty chair, dust flying everywhere as he sat on a cushion next to somebody else. "Get off mah magic carpet you chicken headed clown!" Drake said, grasping his cushion. Then he fell asleep quickly and he dreamt of a wonderful land of rum and marshmallows and he was flying through the land on a magic carpet when suddenly an army of goblins appeared, and so did a nuke. Drake set off the nuke and in a bang everything went white. He woke up. He looked around and saw a blur, before rubbing his eyes and everything went back to normal. "How long was I sleeping for?" Drake asked the hero next to him, who was breathing quite heavily....who was....not in a perfect condition. He wondered what was wrong with him, and he wondered why he was sitting on a bench instead of a cushion.

Erik sees a cloaked figure in a state of distress, and overhears him say his name is 'Sorrow'. When he sees him collapse he figures the two people nearby probably have the situation under control, but as one appears drunk he comes running over just in case. He bends down and asks "Hey mister, what's wrong?"

When he hears Sorrow say 'Heart attack', Erik turns to the Elven lady nearby who Sorrow was talking to, and says:

"I have heard about heart attacks. I'm no cleric, but I hear a bolt of lightning or a blast from a topaz can help sometimes. It might be worth a shot, literally as well as metaphorically, unless you have any better ideas?"

"Oops. Sorry, I don't have a diamond I can't help you there."

"Hey miss? You could try a blast from your Topaz. Topaz is lightning right?

Might help."

"Oh yes I suppose I could try that, that my restart his heart. Though it'd be very risky."

"Well, more risky than just leaving him there?"

Or are you waiting for Mr Endgame to comment so we know I'm not stuffing up his story or something? Sorry, I'm new at this.

OOC: had to work on some school projects last night, so I had to log out. Whoops!

In retrospect, this was probably the most excrutiating part of my life. Afterlife, actually. Dying a second time isn't nearly as pleasant as the first they say, and I had no desire to prove them right. My heart was still drumming like a madman, and it seemed to be getting worse. If that is possible.

"I didn't mean to d-draw a c-crowd." I attempt a slight smile to lighten the mood, but am quickly punished by my heart for doing so.

"Anything at this p-point that could help. Even if it doesn't-t work, lightning would be far less painful of a death then t-t-this... I have died once before, and I certainly don't want t-t-to die a second this way..."

Seeing the large crowd surrounding the poor soul, Benji runs over (without even ordering a drink! *oh2*).

"Don't worry, don't fear, Benji the Warden is here!"

*pushes crowd away*

"How can I help you my dear Sorrow? Would you like a glass of water perhaps? I've heard those are helpful after a heart attack. Although perhaps you wouldn't like a glass of water, I'm not sure exactly what you are... anyways... how could I be of assistance? :sweet: "

*I walk up to Alisha*

"I think you should go sleep this off somewhere. It's really the only thing you can do."

*I offer her my arm*

"I'll help you- no, no, not my hat. No."

*I am able to retrieve my hat from Alisha*
