I think that is a fantastic deal. I hand over 10 gold . "Do you want my sword as well? it's worth fifteen gold! So we could add that to the deal to lower my debt.

Lycan Dean, 10 gold:

-10 gold up front (cleared)

-110 gold promisory (unpaid)

-Twin Katanas (WP:3)

Balance: 0 Gold, 95 Gold promised to Mr. Nihai (swils)

Thormanil Nihai, 182 gold:

+10 gold up front

-Sabre (WP:8, Knights & Rogues)

Balance: 192 Gold, 95 gold indebted from Lycan Dean (TheBoyWonder), Twin Katanas (WP:3)

"Hey, now that your inventory has lightened and your pocketbook is a little heavier, want to go wrestle in the arena?"

Thormanil chuckles,

"Benji! Of course, you know I love a good bout!"

Thormanil heads towards the arena, making a brief pitstop by the marketplace on his way.

Benji heads out of the hall, heading towards the arena. He tosses the newspaper next to Pretzel, the headline viewable.

No. I made them myself. I don't recall buying the ingredients though...

Just as Alexis takes the pretzel, I call, "Ah, ha! You take it...you pay for it!"

"Oh great. Here you can have it back then." She puts it down on the table and slides it back to him.

"Ooh! Pretzel!" Finnegan floats over to the table, somehow picks up the pretzel and stuffs it in his bottle. "Yummy..."

"Hey, wait! You have to pay for that! ...I said you have to pay for that!" I turn to Alexis. "Tell him he has to pay for that."

I pick up the newspaper Benji deposited beside me and quickly stuff it into my cart before anyone can see.

Helm returns to the hall and signs up for Quests #33 and #34.

Johon enters the hall from his previous quest. As he walks in, a blue dragon trots in behind him. He gets some food and tosses it to Draco, his dragon. He then examines the quest-board and writes his name on Quest #33 & #34.

Knifk returns to the hall after a bumpy ride in the mine cart. He'd been spending a ridiculous time below sea level surrounded by rocks, and the bright sun outside the hall almost stung his skin after repeared cool shade. He rolled his eyes at the noodly limbed coward, who had entered the hall before him, then unstrapped his set of plate armor and stretched. It was getting heavy, he needed to get some new armor. He reluctantly began the arduous task of strapping the heavy fauxthril armor back on, then exited the hall to begin searching for something lighter and more flexible.

Elgar walked into the hall now weary from the quest. He saw 2 new quests on the board, one for catching a their, requires a ranged hero. Elgar felt sutible for that quest so Elgar signed up for quest 33. Elgar spotted another quest posted by the guild Invision, Elgar decided he would like to do another quest for them soElgar also signed up for quest 34

Guts walked in the hall, when arriving in the city, he had decided to jump off the cart early, in order to take care of some business, and get drunk in a less... stiff environment than Heroica Hall.

His first stop was the questing board, inspecting it, there were two quests, looking at the first one, Guts' eyes narrowed. The Town Watch did not want to hire rogues? The fools, "rogue" was a term invented by the ignorant. Besides, Guts had killed more criminals than the heroes that currently signed up had combined. Guts sighed, since when was competence less important than looks.

The other quest seemed open for the old rogue though. A vampire, that should be interesting. He could not help but wonder how is old friend Ed was doing... Guts also wondered how someone's accent could slip through on paper. With the usual HOLLA, Guts signed up for Quest 34.

Then Guts went up the stairs to his usual table, happy to find out there was no one sitting there, nodding to Elgar and Knifk on the way.

Hoptet, after departing the Hall several days earlier, stumbles back into the hall, and straight up into Scheherazade's saloon.

"Heroes free drink, yes? Well, I want free drink!"

Scheherazade, begrudgingly, fetches him his drinks.

[Finally, learning Humanish comes in handy!]

Guts sighed, while on the quest, he had hoped for some quiet time in the hall, but now when he was there, he wanted back in the action. Not even a day had passed while he was there, and that day was spend with replying to letters, and drinking wine, it was mostly drinking wine. Bottles had begun to pile up again on and around the table, and Guts was just deciding wether or not to risk the walk to get a new bottle, when a Metasimian walked in the hall.

Guts eyes sharpened up, and he whistled in the direction of the Metasimian standing at the bar, and waved him over when he looked in Guts's direction.

After the quest in the quarry, Hybros entered the hall once more. He was feeling quite sick; the after-effects of the meads, nostrums, and smelling salts were starting to kick in. His body felt heavy, and not just from all the gold that was weighing him down. On his ascent up the stairs, he groggily noted two quests on the board. No, no more adventures, just sleep...

It was a miracle he made it up the stairs, and found himself a cozy spot in his usual corner table. There he collapsed. "Humans... and their drinks..." was all he managed to mumble before passing out.

Guts shook his head, the Metasimian did not look up, shame, his planned information-gathering about Eubric's gang of Metasimians would have to wait for another time. While he was sobered up, Guts decided to pay a visit to the marketplace. On his way, he saw the short rogue, with the big hat and scythe, and the skin of a demon laying on a bench, sleeping. The rogue smirked, Hybros (he thought that was his name?) had handled himself rather well back in the quarry, and if he was really honest with himself, he was not sure who would win in a fight between them. In an uncharacteristic impulse, Guts spread a blanket over the sleeping figure. As Guts walked away, he could be heard mumbling "Damn lightweights."

I survey the situation around me as I thoughtfully munch on a pretzel. Most of the heroes around me are utterly unfamiliar to me. This could be largely due to the fact that the hall had been almost empty when I first arrived. Most of the people I had spoken with had quested with me. There was the one evil magic practitioner who had a black cat and a falcon following him too, but he was nowhere to be seen.

Thank God for preventing me from being near such a viciously evil boy! I think.

I then begin to notice the fine weaponry and bags of gold those around me have. I wonder how they got all that gold? I wonder. Perhaps, I should study there tactics? Maybe I should visit the library.

I get up to set about going, but then I sit back down. Slowly I take up my quill and begin writing again. I must not allow myself to be distracted for the moment, maybe later...

After what felt like his hundredth mug of ale, a haze of alcohol was beginning to cloud over the horribly confusing events of his training. He stumbled down the stairs to the Quest Board, noting the usual crowd signifying a new Quest. In a barely legible scrawl likely induced by his drunken stupor, he signed up for Qyests 33 and 34, hoping that the ban on Rogues didn't extend to their Advanced Classes as well. As he returned to the bar, he saw Guts laying a blanket over the imp they had Quested with out of his peripheral vision. ¨Not going soft on me, are you, Guts?” he slurred.

As Guts returned from the marketplace, his companion for the last three adventures, Knifk, was waiting on him with a drunken grin on his face. A common man would probably no longer be on his feet after a question like this, less common folk would just be ignored. Guts replied the Orc's question:

"You look like you need a drink. And not this city's stinking ale, either. Why don't you tell me about yourself, I know nothing of you, we haven't exactly had the chance for a decent conversation..."

"Yeah, this bastard in the training room's giving me a nasty headache. I... I've been trying to make the headache go away with this cheap shit, but it'll be back ten times as strong in thu morning. Me?I come from Baltorak, don'tcha now. Nice place, there... lots of sand... a couple volcanoes too. Lot's of those little fellows, dwarves, I think, running about. What about chu?"

I look up from my writing. The female Evoker, Alexis, is there again.

"No, I do not believe I did. I have, in fact, just returned from a quest. Quest #24 to be exact. I was with a rather wicked team, I have to say. Involved in all sorts of lewd behaviour. There was Benji the Fornicator, Alisha the...well, Barbarian suits her quite nicely, Leo the Haughty, and Daxus the Theif. I held the team together, really. At least Benji's fornications did not prevent him from being able to lead the team somewhat. In the end, I lead the team to victory alongside him. Enough said, but can you imagine that the party leader would desert their team whilst the team fought a grueling battle, in order to...I cannot say it. Anyhow, we hunted down a Draugr. Filthy evil thing. Slew it at the end! I picked up this shield and helmet from it, but I re-modelled them so they wouldn't look so evil.

Oh, and don't worry, I prayed a cleansing prayer over them so they are no longer demon-possessed. Honestly, when I first received them, I was thinking of selling them off to another hero, but I'm not so sure about that. I guess if somebody offers a decent price for them...they are quite useful, you know? That was the first quest I have been on, by the way. What of yourself, have you been around the hall for long?"

"Lewd? Do I really want to know? Oh yes, I've been around since a few days after it opened. I've gone on four quests since then most recently to an island where I got Mandy here." She lands on the table. "I also met Althior here, such a great man." She says dreamily.

"Please! You could do waaay better. Like a unicycle/harmonica-playing aura! Chicks used to come to my doorstep every day begging for me!"

"Finnegan! You always come in at the most inconvenient times possible. And I find that a highly unlikely story."

"I know, right! :smug: And that story is real, obviously. I even got a letter from an aura who was stalking me! She knew my name, Althior, and that I rode a unicycle! How cool is that?"
