"Hero my booted foot. He's here for the free alcohol and the gold, I guarantee. Sells word is the most honorable name I'd give that piece of Helvetia's [insert Elven cuss that roughly means excrement here] ."

"I agree. He's another of those rogues. And what's worse than a human rogue? An undead rogue! Oh, no! Now there's another one of them. I'm going to go insane if more of them come. I'd better get going on a quest soon."

Nagure suddenly appears and exchanges words with the vampire.

"Um...Yeti, aren't you supposed to be fighting in the arena?"

Hello. I don't know what A+ is. I just know that once i had a dream and A+ tasted the best. No blood? In that case I'll take a beer.

If I go out on a very sunny day I will probably disintegrate. That is why I wear a hat and a cloak.

"Now your entrance was unexpected!"Drake said with a grin.

"So if you go outside and disintegrate.....wait a second....you also drink blood.....so you're a VAMPIRE!!!!!!!!"Screamed Drake.

"Anyway, the bar doesn't just sell beer and hot chocolate. It also sells water if you ask in an emergency voice. Like that time when Sorrow, the undead hero here, had a heart attack and I asked in the most shocking way possible. It worked, I got the water, and in no time Sorrow was fine.....only he then gained an alternate personality."

"And if you ask about hot chocolate, then this is all the information you need." Drake added, and then Dak took over.

"Hot chocolate (also known as hot cocoa) is a heated beverage typically consisting of shaved chocolate, melted chocolate or cocoa powder, heated milk or water, and sugar. Drinking chocolate is similar to hot chocolate, but is made from melted chocolate shavings or paste, rather than a powdered mix that is soluble in water. Also, drinking chocolate usually is not as sweet as hot chocolate.

The first chocolate beverage is believed to have been created by the Mayas around 2,000 years ago, and a cocoa beverage was an essential part of Aztec culture by 1400 AD. The beverage became popular in Europe after being introduced from Mexico in the New World, and has undergone multiple changes since then. Until the 19th century, hot chocolate was even used medicinally to treat ailments such as stomach diseases. Today, hot chocolate is consumed throughout the world and comes in multiple variations including the very thick cioccolata densa served in Italy, and the thinner hot cocoa that is typically consumed in the United States."

OOC:If you ask, I got the hot chocolate information from wikipedia.

"Thank you," I say, popping them into my mouth at once. "Hmmm...spicy!"

"Not to eat,

Retzel. Garlic is a powerful herb with a few minor magical properties, among them being that their scent is harmful and even lethal in large doses to the heightened senses of a vampire. I'd recommend wearing a clove around your neck with a piece of string."

Drake walked back into the hall with a huge package.

It was a package unlike any other.

It was sapphire blue and ruby red and silver.

It was the best package known to mankind.

Drake slowly opened it.

It opened.

And he slowly opened the box inside.

It opened.

And inside that was some big, shiny, metal armour.

And Drake put it on.

He was now a true hero.

He then recognised it was his old suit.

And that made him curious, for nobody put a single thing on the package saying who it came from.

So Drake then had a mystery on his hands.

I walk past the vampire, albeit at a safe distance, and casually exhale in his direction so as to to not be suspicious but as to make sure the vapours go where they are intended.

Johon enters the hall, after getting bored in the Arena. He grabs some apple cider and sits down alone. Rover sat next to him and Johon gave him some food. He gets up and takes his plate to where the dirty plates go (Sink, tub, I don't know what it is supposed to be). He walks around the hall and sees Drake wearing a new suit. Old suit. Johon's not sure, but Drake seems to recognize it. He sees the new 'hero' though he didn't believe it. He walks over to the Vampire and pulls out his notebook. Johon opens it and then pulls out a bottle of ink and unscrews the top, then grabs a quill (Feather pen) from behind his ear and writes down some word on it, then closes it and stuffs it back into his shoulder-bag and the quill behind his ear.

"Now lets start on the right foot. I don't have what you'd call a great reputation with Vampires. I've met and slayed one before, and he wasn't what you'd call a... Uh, hero. I could just be judging you, but maybe we can learn to get along. Uh, what do'ya like to eat?"

Rover sniffs Dreyrugr's leg and tries to bite him. Johon pulls Rover back and picks him up.

"Sorry about that, probably just thinks you might smell a bit strange. Well, I suspect that it'd be safe to tell you my name, an perhaps you could tell me yours? Johon, uh, pleased to meet you."

I used to be a human. Don't try and kill me and I have no problem about you killing my kin. About what I like eating. Haven't eaten in over a thousand years.

"Johon, uh, pleased to meet you."

Good to meet you my name is Dreyrugr and for the start of this friendship would you kindly go over to those people and tell them to stop blowing garlic in my direction. It's making me feel horrible.

"Well then, welcome to Heroica Hall. What brought you here? I haven't seen any Vampires willing to help fight evil."

I go over to the new hero, who to my surprise was a vampire.

"Welcome to the Hall! Pay no mind to that monk... He isn't too appreciative about us "unholy scum" being heroes.

I lift my sleeve to show my skeletal frame.

"But hey, atleast you'r enot alone in the club."

"Good to know I'm not the only undead being. Good to meet you."

I turn to Arasmyth having listened in on the undead's conversation and whisper to him, "He has his own reasons alright. I wouldn't be surprised if he attempts to make his blood-sucking rounds tonight! It's almost downright frightening having two undead heroes now and this coming from someone who has had his share of fights with the undead. It was bad enough when one of them was around, it just makes the whole atmosphere of the hall absolutely un-homey, but now with two, it's practically becoming the cavernous pits of hell itself. I can't wait to leave this place on a quest, although I pray that it will not be with one of those two."

"I wouldn't doubt it. My room at the inn across the street will be locked and barred, and I'll need to dig up my chest of herbs to get garlic powder to sprinkle outside the door. If only the place wasn't such a mess..." the aeromancer grumbles, not looking forward to digging through the mountains of scrolls, arcane relics, potions, and books he kept in his inn room to find the powder.

"And to think that I thought I would sleep well because I bought one of these bedrolls!" I bristle. "It seems to me that I will have to seek lodging this night elsewhere. It's just disturbing. How can undead, demons and vampires, saunter around the hall of heroes so undisturbed. Perhaps it's that all these youthful heroes do not remember the elder days and the terror that these fell beasts brought with them everywhere they went. In this modern day and age a general spirit of compromise has settled in around the world. You can tell from just looking at the archives of earlier quests. Men siding with pirates in order to earn a greater bounty, betraying the trust of those who hired them, and going against the word of their employer. It is a sad world we live in. The new generations are full of villainy. I have been around a long time, as have you, but probably longer still, yet I have never seen the likes of what goes on in Eubric and I've seen some bad things. But, I suppose, evil is not as evil when it comes out plainly, like the demon, the Draugr, whom we fought and slew. He was obviously evil and all on my party knew it and we slew him without a second theought. However, it is when the evil is disguised that it is the most villainous: the vampire who joins the hall to become a hero and supposedly 'help people', the man who does everything right when on his quests, but is a drunkard at home. The orc who appears to stand for so much good, but inside is just as evil as his ancestors. It is a sad world, Arasmyth, when men can no longer determine an evil man from a good man. It seems that is only wisdom given to the oldest of the old among us, but I pray to God, every day that this will change and that I will be used of Him to spread awareness and to create a new awakening amongst the people of this wretched land. Hope remains, but for how long is what we must ask ourselves. That is why I busy myself with these translations. They are to reach men I could not reach myself and be spread to places where I could not travel, at least, not too soon. Ah, Arasmyth, I need to head out on a quest again, or I shall once again forget my knowledge in the ways of war. It has been a long time since I fought in battle, and I have experienced much since then, but I hope that with every new assignment received and with every new quest I go on, I shall receive more of that fighting spirit back in me. I have tried to change things too long by just following along, what is needed is action. Someone who can step out and do the things that everyone else is afraid to do who can say the things that others are afraid to say. If a warrior is the one whom they will listen to, a warrior is what I will be."

I sigh heavily. It had been a long time indeed since I had last wielded a sword. Much had changed since then.

Shall I ever be able to wield a sword again? The feeling of slicing through a man, of cutting him to the heart, it goes against everything I have held dear since then. A sword, a sword? Should I again enter the order of the paladins, or shall I remain as I am? As of now, I must do what I must, but God if You demand it of me in the future, I am willing to take up the sword once again, in Your name. Hear me, I pray You!

I shoot a glance towards the scheming Ether users, no doubt trying to find some way to get rid of the newbie.

"Thank Helvetia I don't have such an exploitable weakness. Ever considered some sort of face mesh? Would help keeping out the sun and the garlic... and i may just be able to fashion you one from spare piece of my cloak.

It's embarrassing to admit this, but I'm decent with a needle... "

"Aye, my friend. 'Tis a sad world we live in where one can be stabbed in the back by he you thought as an ally. I doubt that any true heroes exist in this realm any longer - not even you or I, who still fall prey to the temptations of money and power. They say a Hero is one who helps those in need, but I beg to differ. Any sellsword or cutthroat will kill a robber if he thinks he may get a reward. A Hero is one who has come to peace with his own flaws, and has the courage to do what is right, no matter the cost. The Ranger who shoots an incoming Fire Bomb before it lands for recognition and fame is not a Hero, the Barbarian who leaps onto it to contain the explosion despite possibly being incinerated is. A Hero is not the one who laughs at Death, he is the one who goes with his head held high, knowing he has made the world a better place. Not the rich man who gives hundreds of Gold to a starving beggar, it is the cripple who gives up his last two coppers, even knowing that he'll soon starve without them. They say a Hero is fearless. I say a Hero is one who faces his fears and presses on regardless!" By the climax of his speech, Arasmyth is shouting. He lowers his voice to a whisper, then continues. "I've never met a hero in my life, Pretzel, but Ethereth damn me to the pits of Tartarus if I don't do my thrice-damned best to be the first."

"Thank you I might be able to appreciate such a thing."

"He has his own reasons alright. I wouldn't be surprised if he attempts to make his blood-sucking rounds tonight!"

Using my heightened senses I hear the monk and elf whispering to each other.

"If I were you I wouldn't bother worrying about me sneaking up behind you. I can tell right now that neither of your blood would taste any good."

Posted

" You even try it, Vampire. You even attempt to take blood from an innocent tonight and you will meet your end in the arena." Lycan bellows.

"Who said I was going to suck someones blood? I only mentioned who's blood I wouldn't want to suck."

Posted

"If any of you actually bother thinking about it, you'd realize he wouldn't go through the trouble of getting enlisted here if he was just going to drink some blood and get kicked out. If he wanted blood he would've walked into a bar at happy hour and just do it there.

Drake started to take interest in the conversation about the vampire. He chuckled quietly and made his way towards Sorrow. He pretended he didn't hear a word, and had only just noticed.

"What's going on here?"

Posted

" Johon, it would be a lie if we said you had never done anything wrong. I came here to save The people of Eubric. I will ally with the wolfgang, I will ally with anyone if evil is stopped. But one thing I will not tolerate is Scum like Vampires and undeads causing a potential danger to the citizens of Eubric. "

Lycan looks at the magic user and Pretzel. " I agree with you on the topic of the undead and that thing."
