"You do not need to bother the town watch, they have more important things to deal with than a mad knight."

"Mad knights can be very dangerous, I tell you. They're ones to watch out for, but if you are confidant that the town watch are not needed at the moment, I will stay my hand and merely monitor Mr. Flamerobe's actions. If he is found suspicious yet again, I must call them in."

"I didn't even know we had so many high-ranking heroes in the hall at present!" I shrug my shoulders. "Hey, puppy, where'd you come from. You don't happen to be this Maa'ri that they have to rescue, do you?"

I turn to Elgar, "Well, I suppose you won't be fighting in the arena after all, eh? Perhaps now is the time to call those town watch."

I then turn to Arasmyth, "Good luck, friend," I say forcefully. "Party leader, eh? Make them proud! May the blessings of the good Lord go with you!"

I pronounce several benedictions over him.

Johon and Sorrow finished the rest of the day's work and then got back onto the dragon. They flew towards Eubric and past some streets, then glided down an ally side-ways, and then spun around a temple, landing on the other side with a thump! Johon un-straps himself and then gets off the dragon with Sorrow. Johon kicks open the door and he storms in, looks from side to side, and spots Drake pretending to read some book, yet it is up-side down. He walks over and stands in front of Drake, who looks up at Johon questionably. Johon then sighs, and kneels down next to Drake.

"You... Drake, sometimes people like it if you ask them for a ride, and instead of stalking people, maybe you can just come out and talk to them."

He then reaches his right hand for his sword, in motion to let Drake know that a fight is going to break out.

I shake my head in disbelief.

"Hello, Drake. It is your old friend, Syntax!

Sometimes I doubt you, Drake. In a hall of broken heroes, their history stained with misery and woe, I just don't know where you fit in. Your story about guarding Fortaan? False and impossible. What little we know about your past? Likely fabricated. You wear the armor of a hero, and yet, you stoop to stalking, spying and thievery. What are you, Drake? Who are you? I am not a saint by any definition of the word, but I'm not sure where you belong. Not here, if you have to resort to demon dung like you pulled."

I lean back, with a devious smile on my decayed lips. My eyes contain an equal mixture of malice and intrigue at the man before me.

"Please explain yourself. Any hasty actions may result of puncturing of vital organs, painful screaming, impalement, and severe bludgeon marks."

"...Johon, lets give him a chance to talk. And instead of fighting in this posh (if somewhat dirty) hall, let's take it outside and do it the old fashioned way."

Elgar spots the dog and walks over to stroke him.. He hears he is selected for the quest and walks over to the Mage Arasmyth and says "I am glad we are questing with each over, you seem quite a nice Mage.". Elgar walks over to monkretzal and says "The town watch still have more important things than a mad knight, you would be better off leaving Johon to deal with him  "

"What the... Drake, what is wrong with you?!"

Drake somehow knew how to fly a dragon, and whirls off into the fluffy clouds, apparently trailing us previously.

Hours later of worried working, Ethelim flew back here, apparently displeased with his latest rider. I rubbed his scaly side to make him content.

"I will give that knight a thoroughly painful reprimandation later."

Through a window in the arena, Erik sees Drake fly to the hall's entrance on a dragon, and his voice booms out, loudly enough to be heard in the hall:

"Somehow, I'm not surprised Drake knows something about dragons. I mean, his name is Drake, and he seems to have something of an affinity to fire, with that torch of his."

A while later, he twitches, and mutters:

"Aaw !&^@%, why do I have a feeling Syntax is back?"

Drake had gotten too drunk and he had fell fast asleep, so he didn't hear anybody in his deep sleep.

Elgar decides it might be best if Drake was awake before he was attacked by Johon so he poured a bucket of cold water on to Drake's head.

Drake woke up in the blink of an eye as soon as the cold water touched his head. He turned around and said "Who did that?".

"I did" Elgar said with a smug grin on his face "I just wished to alert you Johon has a very big sword and is very angry with you. "

"Why is he angry at me?" Drake asked.

Posted

"You, stole, his dragon" Elgar said very slowly to get the point across to Drake

"Oh....well if it involves stealing, then it's gotta be Dak. Did you do it?"

"Oh, sure. I did it. I didn't mean to get everybody angry. I just needed to get back to the hall quick. There is something important that will happen here soon."

"Just because you are mad and act a bit differently every few minutes it does not mean you are exused from stealing. Also I belive you share the same body so you still will get hurt badly by Johon."

"Great excuse, Drake. Wonderful excuse. Best in a while, in fact. Just like Dak made you stalk us and spy on us, hm? You didn't hear my previous ramble because you were as drunk as a viking, but I truly must wonder where you fit in here. You say your armor makes you a true hero, but your demeanor says otherwise; and it reveals the ugly truth. If you so easily submit to compulsions, then you lack the will of a hero as well as the mannerisms of one.

And you can actually learn some social skills instead of jacking a dragon to get drunk.

I turn to Johon

"Shall we take this outside?"

"Yes." Johon replies, pulling Drake by his arm outside.

I notice that the barbarian and the undead wannabe rogue are picked on the theiving knight.

"Serves him right," I mutter. "Hopefully I'll lose a few enemies in this fight." I smirk.

I wonder when word will be sent of the quest I signed up for.

Emerging from the arena, Erik stops by the bar and grabs two beers. Tossing one to Nagure, he says:

"See Nagure, we are about evenly matched in fighting skills, but I won that battle because I have a reason to fight. You can't fight as well if you just fight for yourself."
