[Endgame]

Drake woke up. He woke up at an early time in the morning. He wondered around all the sleeping heroes without them noticing, because they were so fast asleep it seemed as if they were dead! Well, in Sorrow's case, you could say he was dead, because he was. Well, undead, but that counts as being dead. Drake made his way out of the hall, layed down on the wet, damp grass and he looked up at the sky.

I roll out my hammock, falling face first in the mud.

"Smooooooooth."

I rolled out of my hammock feet away from Drake, who was watching the clouds go by in the marshy grass. I consider checking him for drugs, but decided dealing with his antics wasn't worth it.

Heading inside, I post a notice next to the questboard.

"Undead Rogue requests an Opal. If you have an opal, I'd be willing to negotiate a price."

Althior walks back into the hall and signs up for Quest #36, The Voracious Vault.

Alexis walks into the hall with a new knowledge of how the world is. "Wow, it certainly is empty in here. Has anyone seen Ellaria lately?" She asks to no one in particular.

Alexis watches as Althior signs-up for Quest #36.

"Oh if you're signing up for that, I'm in!" She writes her signature on the board for Quest #36.

[Endgame]

"Back from your quest, hm?" I say, looking up from the salad I had been eating.

"How'd it go?"

I can't help but see the Opal the man near the questboard was carrying.

"Excuse me, sir, but would I be able to buy that Opal from you? 130 gold is my first offer, but I can raise it a bit if need be."

[K-Nut]

Althior looks to the little, whatever-it-was walking up to him. "Yes, we did just return from a quest. Damn Town Watch, thinking they're so honorable and noble, worse than the Wolfgang if you ask me." He listens to Sorrow's offer for the Opal, "Sorry, but I'm not selling any of my Gems. They're too valuable to me to be handing out. Emorith, by the way. Nice to meet you."

[Masked Builder]

"Yes what Althior said. Good to meet you, I'm Alexis."

[Endgame]

"Sorrow. Undead and loving it."

As i shake each of their hands, I let out a small chuckle.

"I can understand about the Opal - valuable objects those gems are. I was hoping to pay more tribute to Helvetia by weilding a forst-imbued blade, but that can wait."

"And I share your sights on the Town Watch - you can't trust the bastards with even the most simplest task."

[Sandy]

Alexis walks into the hall with a new knowledge of how the world is. "Wow, it certainly is empty in here. Has anyone seen Ellaria lately?" She asks to no one in particular.

Coincidentally, at that moment Ellaria walks out of the ladies' room with the freshly changed Elpis giggling happily in her basket.

"Lexie!" she shouts upon seeing her friend, and then runs to give her a hug. "How good to see you again! And you too, Althior", she says, smiling to the sage who is tickling Elpis's tummy gleefully. She also nods warily to the ghastly figure she has seen floating around the Hall lately.

"So, I heard you were on a quest together. What was it like? Please tell me all about it, I'm tired of only talking about baby stuff."

Ellaria winks at Althior. "Maybe you could watch over Elpis while me and Lexie go grab a drink at the Saloon?"

Alexis smiles gleefully as she hugs Ellaria back. "So good to see you Ella'. Well, the Wolfgang had us try to catch this burglar...but in the end we just took the Zirconia back to the Ziegfrieds. I hope you're planning to go on a quest soon?"

[Bricksandparts]

Johon gets up and stretches when he notices Ellaria, with a child! He walks over to Ellaria and looks at the small, smiling, baby blowing bubbles and giggling.

"Hello Ellaria, I see the baby is healthy looking, what's his name?" Johon asks, unsure if it a boy or girl.

"Me? Well, I suppose..." Althior blushes as he is cut off when Finnegan comes running into the hall, almost tripping over Sorrow and Elpis on the way in.

"Are they gone? Can I take off this hat now? It's really itchy!" He pants.

"Yes Finnegan, they're gone. And you did such a good job keeping them off our tracks,"

"It wasn't my fault! How am I supposed to manage running around these streets in an itchy Musketeer hat?"

Althior stops the talking Finnegan. "You two go ahead. Finnegan and I will be happy watching the baby." He whispers in Finnegan's ear, "You're on diaper duty,"

"Crap..."

[Sandy]

"I hope you're planning to go on a quest soon?"

Ellaria smiles sheepishly.

"Well, I would, but I haven't yet found one where I could take Elpis with me... I don't dare to leave her with Spriggan for such a long time, for my poor employer is becoming forgetful and absent-minded. I swear, he would feed his clients pidgeon droppings for pills if I weren't around to watch after him. But other than him and you guys, there's nobody I know in this city. So I'm kind of stuck..."

She then leans forward so that Althior wouldn't hear.

"What about you two? Do you have any plans on... getting stuck, yourselves?"

Ellaria gives an impish wink at her friend.

"Hello Ellaria, I see the baby is healthy looking, what's his name?" Johon asks, unsure if it a boy or girl.

Ellaria giggles at the barbarian's oblivousness.

"Alf, how good to see you too! Meet Elpis, my beautiful daughter. She is healthy indeed, eats like a little swine." Ellaria tickles her daughter's toes, making her laugh uncontrollably. "You are mommy's little swine, aren't you?"

Ellaria smiles sheepishly.

"Well, I would, but I haven't yet found one where I could take Elpis with me... Then she speaks up again.

"That's too bad, I certainly hope you can come on a quest again with me."

[Sandy]

"I hope that too. I trained as a druid, but haven't yet gotten to use those skills in a real battle", Ellaria says. "Maybe when she's older, I guess. Oh, but it's Elpis's nap time already. This hall is too noisy for her to sleep in, so I'll take her out for a walk. See you again soon, my friends!"

I turn to Althior and the clumsy Finnegan.

"You weren't on baby duty for very long, huh? I hope my appearance didn't scare the poor child."

Finnegan gave Sorrow an awkward stare while Althior chuckled, "An incompetent butt monkey at that!" His laugh became one of pain in almost no time at all as Althior stumbled backwards a bit, catching himself on the rail. As Sorrow came to help Althior, he raised his hand. "I'm fine," His voice faltered as it dropped into almost a whisper. "I'm fine,"

Finnegan gave Sorrow an awkward stare while Althior chuckled, "An incompetent butt monkey at that!" His laugh became one of pain in almost no time at all as Althior stumbled backwards a bit, catching himself on the rail. As Sorrow came to help Althior, he raised his hand. "I'm fine," His voice faltered as it dropped into almost a whisper. "I'm fine,"

I spring into action, holding Althior upright so he doesn't fall.

"Althior, I've had 2 fatal heart attacks. As much as you can tell yourself you are fine, chances are you will not be."

I lead Althior to a couch cusion and sit him down gently, making sur enot to worsen his condition.

"Now, I'll try to fetch the appropriate if you can tell me whats wrong."

"Nothing..." He chuckled a bit in pain, "There's nothing you can do..." He forced a grin on his face as he looked up at Sorrow, "Because I don't know what's happening myself."

Finnegan, on the other hand, felt very awkward in this situation. "Now I miss diaper duty..."

I take a step back and try to analyze his symptoms, but fail.

"...I'm an abomination, not a doctor, Althior. The only thing I can do is give you my potions and a Pheonix Essence if it has to come to that. I'm sorry Althior - I'm completely useless here."

I shake my head in sorrow. I look deeper into the situation, my calmness slipping. For once in a long time, I feel completely helpless.

"This... isn't good."

Althior looks up at Sorrow and whispers to him. "I have encountered some of the best healers in the world. I've sent them vials of my blood, I've described my symptoms, nothing. My disease, it doesn't exist according to them."

I sit down next to him, still writhing in pain.

"It might pass, if that's the case. Hopefully. I'll stay here until the attack ends."

I arise from my unconcious state with the noise of the room slamming into my brain, trying to force it's way into the mass of murky thoughts. What had happened? I pick myself up off the table and hold my head in my hands trying to clear the confusion. Suddenly, as if nothing happened. I look up and continue painstakingly with my translation.
