K-Nut Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 "...So this isn't the first time, is it?" "First time?" Althior laughs, "I've been suffering from this for so long, I don't even remember the first time..." Quote
Endgame Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 "First time?" Althior laughs, "I've been suffering from this for so long, I don't even remember the first time..." "And how long did the attacks usually last?" Quote
K-Nut Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 "And how long did the attacks usually last?" "Attacks? That's not what it's been like at all. It's been states of mind more like it." He sighed, "And it's spreading. Started here" He takes off his right glove, showing the deep, gaping spot in his hand. "Worked its way up," The Dark blue and purple elvish runes spreading up his right arm, "And stopped here," He pointed to his eyes, dark blue opposed to his normal brown. He leaned his head back and sighed as he closed his eyes. Quote

"Worked its way up," The Dark blue and purple elvish runes spreading up his right arm, "And stopped here," He pointed to his eyes, dark blue opposed to his normal brown. He leaned his head back and sighed as he closed his eyes. I took a long look at the intricate runes sprawling up the man's arm. Due to my father being permanently sealed by a rune, I am not fond of them. "Hm... Perhaps if it's a state of mind, it's a mental condition or instability and not an actual disease. Thus the lack of traces of infection in your blood. I'm afraid I'm neither a cleric or neuromancer though." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A chariot screeches to a halt outside, and an important looking woman walks out. Walking past all the hijinks and hoopla of the hall, she goes up to the questboard and examines her signup sheet briefly. She takes out a quill and crosses out all of the names on the signup sheet but four. These remaining names are: Monk Pretzel, Level 5 Cleric (Played by Palathadric) *Party Leader!* Erik Tyrvarr, Level 5 Barbarian (Played by Myrddn) Mizuki Kimura, Level 5 Rogue (Played by Zakura) Daxus Octavian, Level 6 Rogue (Played by LEGOman273) With that, she addresses the chosen heroes. "You have my thanks for signing up, heroes. I'll be staying at a nearby inn until tomorrow morning, and will then take you to Luosh via chariot. Prepare yourself - because I'm afraid when I said "vermin" in the pitch, it was figurative. What you'll be facing will be a bit more fearsome then the average sewer rat, I fear." Myrddyn Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Erik looks on in concern at the baby and the sick sage, as he doesn't really know much about childcare, and is no expert in medicine. As he backs toward the window, he is glad to be distracted by discovering that he has been accepted for a quest, and also that he will have a cleric to patch him up if necessary. Quote

Tachyon Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Mizuki went to the bar and bought a tray of beers to Erik and Nagure. Then she got a cup of cofee that was boiling hot and started putting sugar in. She noticed that sorrow didn't drink alcohol so she gave him the cofee. Quote
Palathadric Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 (edited) I glance up as a chariot comes charging down the road, making a loud noise. A woman jumps off the chariot and hurries to the quest board, slashing names off the sign-up sheet. I wait around for the violent lady to finish. In the meantime I scrutinize her appearance. She seems more of a digital rendering to me than an actual person. Suspicious, I think. She leaves the hall and there is the obligatory crowding around the quest board. Daxus seems exceptionally disturbed. I approach the board. "Yahoo!" I screech. "Party leader, and they even put an exclamation point after it to add emphasis. Heroica is finally appreciating my worth." I clap Daxus on his back. "Just think, we'll be journeying together, you and I, once again. Now does that sound like God's setup or what? He certainly seems after you. I have the feeling that your soul will not be lost for much longer now." I then head back to my seat trying to re-collect any information I need. And what last purchases I should make. As I do so, I spend some time analyzing my fellow quest mates, having seen their paintings on the wall. The Mizuki girl seems like a good kid. Helpful at least. Far better than that Alisha ! The barbarian seems quiet. I guess I will have to examine him more closely. I notice that Mizuki is a rogue. How odd is that! A helpful person being a rogue? And how is that I am stuck with two of those theives. Perhaps, they will see the light. If they do, they could be incredibly useful. Edited June 22, 2012 by Palathadric Quote

Scubacarrot Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Guts entered the hall, he was the first to have left the Guildhouse, and he went straight back to the hall. The first time without his mask. Guts grinned as he saw familiar faces look to him without sign of recognition. Hiding in plain sight was one way of doing things. In a voice more cheery than usual, Guts greeted Scheherazade, and then sat down at this usual table in the corner, glad to see his protection measures were still there (parts of a mirror that allowed him to see people coming towards the table from every angle, including the roof, and a ward that was blessed by a cleric to keep out any of those that meant harm.), and that the table was empty, less glad was the rogue when he saw the pile of empty wine bottles that were still there. Maybe the ward worked a bit too well. After unstrapping most of his gear, a quick rest and reading some of the letters that had arrived for him while he was away, Guts took a feather and some paper and wrote the following: "Heroes, I am looking to purchase an Amethyst, I am fully aware of the rarity and value of these, and I plan to compensate generously. Come see me at my table if interested. Written, HOLLA." Then he pinned it at the Questboard, there weren't any Quests on it at this time anyway. Guts took a sip of a new bottle of wine, and leaned back. Quote

bekindsorewind Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 As the Heroica Hall doors opened, a small shadow was shown. There was Quiky Q., a Rogue puppet created from a dark magician, whose insignia is in the form of a N. With his innards created entirely out of paperclips and aged wood, his gloves could be used for sharp daggers. Strange faces were cast as he approached inside. However this rabbit poses serious threats the others can't see. Health: 7 Power: 4 Inventory: 10 Gold, Venom, Potion Quote
