A flustered looking U'Kin in a suit bursts into the hall. He doesn't say a word to anyone, but instead rushes to the quest board, pins a note there, and exits.

QUEST #39 UPDATE

When applying for the Quest, heroes must pitch themselves as a pre-formed party with an elected leader of the party which they have already formed. Thank you.

Johon sees three new quests being posted, and signs up for quest 37, 38, and 39.

Johon walks over to Alexis, one of his previous questies, and Althior, who he had not talked to much. On hearing that the party must choose a party amongst themselves, Johon asks the couple if they would want to sign as a party.

"Would you want to sign up as a party on quest 39?"

[Endgame]

I look in puzzlement as a odd creature in a rather expensive suit pins a notice on the board and dashes out soon after.

"Predetermined parties, huh?" I say, mulling it over. "I'm probably a bit too weak to go on this one, but it's worth a shot. Want to form a group?" I say, turning to Alexisand Althior.

"By the by, Althior, how have you been? I haven't seen you since you waltzed out of the hall when that... "condition" ended."

Johon walks over to Alexis, one of his previous questies, and Althior, who he had not talked to much. On hearing that the party must choose a party amongst themselves, Johon asks the couple if they would want to sign as a party.

"Well, seeing as the sign ups don't end for a while I believe,"

"Wow, I feel so popular today! Now who wants my autograph?"

Althior smacks his forehead and sighs. "No comment to you, Finnegan. Again, we may want to think things over while we wait for the sign ups to end, but I'll at least think about it,"

"By the by, Althior, how have you been? I haven't seen you since you waltzed out of the hall when that... "condition" ended."

"A bit better, thanks for asking,"

[Endgame]

"To be honest, I just want to strangle Wren for my own personal vendetta. Chaos is fine and dandy, but it's users have proven to be nothing but tragic in my life."

I absentmindedly flick open my newly acquired fan - it made me much stronger.

"Perhaps I just need to invest in some Meads and Nostrums and the cash would come rolling in, along with the kills..." I muse.

I see Finnegan attempting to stifle a chuckle over my weapon, but failing miserably.

"I suffer from split-personality, Finnegan. And although I'm a bit passive, my alter-ego has more... violent tendencies.

Worry not though, I keep the paranoid little maniac on a mental leash. A very short mental leash, mind you."

*Mutters unspeakable profanity and curses*

Alexis turns to both men. "As Althior said, I'm quite open to thinking about it."

Guts frowns when he reads the new message for Quest 39, and walks over to where Althior, Alexis, Sorrow and Johon are standing, and says:

"Kids, I want to go on that Quest. I have the experience, tools and drive. From what I've seen on the board, we will have to go inside the man's mind, and fight off whatever has made it's way inside. There is a good chance that if we are not strong enough inside his mind, or if the ritual goes horribly wrong, we will be braindead. And the ritual is probably going to be done either by magic or by people from the Temples, I kinda hope the second, heh."

Guts pauses and looks at everyone's faces:

"It does not sound very appealing, but I want to do this. The life of the richest man in Eubric is in our hands. Imagine what difference Heroica could make in Eubric with that kind of support! It would at least be a start, and could help Heroica grow, help equipping and ultimately help changing the mindsets of people all around!"

After a short pause, Guts adds:

"Heroica can't afford to screw this one up. No offense to any of you, but I trust myself the most, and think I should be in there. I lead a party in a Quest earlier, and would be willing to do so again, are any of you up to join me, kick some megablocks in the guy's mind, and better the city?"

[Flare]

Benji goes and signs up for Quest #37 and #39, and then goes to the hall to see if he can find a group.

"Holla, I would be honored to be in a group with you."

"You are quite a magnificent bird. I have taken vows to protect all peaceful animal-life, and I have seen most if not all types of them, and I must say you are quite exquisite... even if you are a spirit, and not a flesh-and-blood creature."

"Holla, I would be honored to be in a group with you."

Guts smiles as he shakes Benji's hand, and says:

"Very good, as you know I am Guts Holla indeed, but I am afraid I am at a disadvantage, Ser...?"

Hybros returns to the Hall after a long and somewhat unsuccessful journey. It turned out that the Ji Pei were busy defending themselves from the Wolfgang, although Hybros had managed to track down Reno Bonaparte and follow him to Triad Park where he had met with Legonardo of the Ji Pei. Things were moving quickly, and hopefully the house of power would post for Heroica's help in the near future.

In the meantime however, Hybros needed to entertain himself to escape the dull clutches of the Hall. Many heroes were still away in Dastan, and Eric was on his own quest with the barbarian woman Tesni that he had met a while ago. The only familiar faces around were Alexis and her... partner, Althior. There was also an older-looking man draped in a dark cloak who seemed somewhat familiar... the way he held himself reminded the imp of a rogue that he had quested with before, but besides that there was barely any resemblance. He approached the man, who was speaking to an young armored ranger.

"Excuse me, eheh... I hear that a certain quest needs a pre-determined party. Would, eheh, either of you be interested in forming one?"

[Scubacarrot]

Guts looks down as a small figure pulled his coat, and saw the dark coloured creature that was with them in the quarry.

"Yes! Hybros isn't it? Me and Mister Benji Carvenhall here want to go as well, with the three of us, that would make the party. I think our individual skillsets would make an excellent combination. Benji, if you agree too, I can sign us up?"

Chris walked up to the quest board and put his name under Quest Quest #37: Princess Panic and Quest #38: The Lost Party.

"Guts?" The tough-as-nails rogue looked a lot different from when he had last seen him. His head wrap was gone, and the three distinguishing scars that streaked across the only part of his face that used to be seen were faded. He also had a new aura about him, something less self-centered and... warmer. Not to be easily tricked by this new appearance, however, Hybros proceeded with caution.

"Yes, I remember you now, eheh. It has been quite a while since our mission in the quarry. Well, I am ready for another one, as long as this man here agrees..."

Hybros signs up for Quest #39.

Drake silently walked into the hall, feeling like a rogue as an atmosphere of fear filled the hall. His hands were covered with ashes and blood and he was holding a peculiar device and a weird knife. He stood right in front of the quest board and signed up for quest 37. He then strolled out of the hall, again, silently, leaving a weird deactivated device that looked like it was a bomb.

"A tally: first he fabricated a false and obviously fake past, crafted a phoney sword and tried to sell it on the market, came on a quest and completely disregarded the conecpt of "free hits", comes back, steals a dragon, injects himself with drugs, leaves and comes back bloodstained and plastered with soot and ashes, and leaves a device that vaugely looks like a bomb.

Who wants to track down the little freak and his dealer with me before his little devices plaster us all over the walls?"

Johon grabs Drake's shoulder as he is about to leave.

"What is this?" Johon holds out the bomb-like device.
