Siercon and Coral Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) Siercon pushed on the worn handle to the heavy door of the guild hall with no effect. “Of course… It would be a pull” he muttered to himself. Shifting his balance, he pried open the heavy wooden doors and slipped in. He wasn’t used to feeling so weak, but then again, this wasn’t the first time he had to start over. He felt a little lost and did his best not to draw any attention to himself as he edged around the room. “Here it is… This should be the good place to start…” he thought stopping at the quest board. His pessimism only increased as he read ‘This quest requires experienced members’ or ‘only highly trained…’ and ‘party full’. A minute later, some seemingly less fortunate soul pitifully gestured upwards towards the top of the board obviously seeing his quandary. Here Siercon found a quest titled The Lost Party. “Ha, how ironic!” He blurted, considering how lost he felt himself. The words just seemed to slip out as if he didn’t care who heard. But regardless, he proceeded to Sign up for Quest 38 (with of course the beggars pen), and took his seat on the edge of the room. Edited July 26, 2012 by Siercon and Coral Quote

Costy Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 I sign up for quest 41. Why was some idiot going around yelling charge anyway? Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Dak signs up for Quest #40, relishing in the rare oppurtunity to perhaps find out more about the heritage of his mysterious friend Guts. Knowledge is power, after all. OOC: Sorry about being gone for a week, guys, a family member of mine recently passed away. I should be around from now on, though. Quote
Vash the Stampede Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Dreyrugr had been sitting in the corner for a while. Feeling the incentive to do something he signs up for quest #38, #40 and #41. Quote
Siercon and Coral Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 'Huh' Siercon thought to himself, 'Either everyone here has an egregiously long name that skips across the sign up board, or it is customary to sign up for more than one quest.' After a small debate inside his head, it was decided. He came to the conclusion that signing up multiple times increases ones chances of being chosen to participate. And what the heck, experience was experience after all. Whats the worst that could happen? They'd could call me "Siercon, Siercon, Siercon" for the rest of my life? Signs up for 40 and 41. Quote

"Oh, no I didn't say anything at all. ;) Just that I am looking forward to going on this quest with you. Have everything you need? Although I suppose that is a worthless question since we're both broke. :)" Quote

Scorpiox Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Haldor was pacing his room in the early hours of the morning. While the city slept, Haldor knew there was something he had to do. Gathering his esential items, the Nord crept silently out of the inn, being careful not to wake Jess who rested soundly on her bed. Using the brilliant white glow of Thoric's diamond, Haldor found his way to the empty heart of the city, where no-one was to be seen. The Marketplace was empty, but Haldor had a job to do. Quote
Masked Builder Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Alexis looks around trying to find Althior. She spots him over at a table and makes her way to him. "Did you see the new stall in the market place? I would like to get an artifact, but I don't know which one. Do you have any advice?" She looks at her other friends seated at the table to see if they have any. Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Haldor knocked aside the heavy oak doors for what seemed like the hundreth time today, setting foot inside the hall with a significantly lighter coin purse. Snaking his way through the tables and discarded objects, the Shaman found himself a seat on the bar. After what seemed like an age, he looked around awkwardly before calling out. "So, fellows, would anyone in here be kind enough to lend a man 33 gold pieces? Soon-ish?" Quote
Zepher Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 (edited) Boomingham has taken up a cozy chair in the corner that usually belonged to one of the rogues who hid in the shadows. His eyes are closed shut. For the past few days he has woken, drank, and then returned to his slumber. Boomingham tells anyone who asks that he was recuperating. Boomingham murmurs in his sleep sometimes. Not much, just short phrases: "You haf fumpkin shad you fill mif swif *mumble mumble* are nofing." "Onwrads shad..." The Dragonlord's voice rings out and rips Boomingham from his stupor. He sits up. "Looks like things are happening with or without me. Might as well join in the fun," he mumbles to himself and then smiled wanly before downing a half finished beer next to him. Boomingham forces himself out of his chair and grabs a parchment... Raven Brickroft Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I prefer the term treasure hunting! Ha! Semantic nonsense! There's a huge difference! A squabble is heard across the hall as two men almost break out in a fight. The men have been separated even before a single blow was thrown. One of them leaves the circle that has formed around them and brushes himself. THE name's Raven Ashcroft fine adventurers! Wedge09 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 After defeating many enemies in the border regions, Alexander Vandangant decided to go to Eubric Freeport to seek new challenges in the Heroica. He is a Ranger, a shadow unnoticeable to most and who strikes from afar the enemy unaware. Quote

Sandy Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 ~Four new quests have been posted on the Quest Board (#42 by Flare, and #43, #44 and the Unlimited Quest by Sandy)!~ She was gone. Ellaria still could not believe she was gone. Ellaria had left Elpis on her crib for the afternoon nap while she had gone downstairs to help the pharmacist, and when she had returned, the crib was empty and the only window in the room was open wide. There was no trace of who or what had taken the infant, and none of the neighbours had seen anything either. How Ellaria had cried, for days on end... But the tears had ceased and despair had subsided, and now all that remained was cold determination. She would find her baby again. Even if she would have to search the city brick by brick or travel to the other side of the world, she would find her. Elpis was not dead, she could not be. Ellaria would know if she was, Sylvania would have told her. She refused to let doubt creep into her mind. Her goddess had not abandoned her. The words she had heard inside her head were not hallucinations. With her eyes still a bit swollen and her cheeks sunken from the lack of nutrition, Ellaria stepped into Heroica Hall once more. It pained her to think that the last time she was here, she had carried Elpis in her little basket and introduced the baby to the other champions. Now all she saw were unfamiliar faces that gave her suspicious looks. Ignoring them she walked to the Quest Board. There were many quests to choose from, but only one of them held any interest to her: a quest pitched by the Town Watch. This gave her a perfect opportunity to meet the captain of the watchmen in person and ask about any babies that might've been found lately. Ellaria signed her name into Quest #40: The Strivvian Job, and let out a deep sigh. This was what Sylvania wanted of her, to go into these "adventures" and get experience, so that one day she could fulfill whatever destiny the goddess had in store for her. But how could she concentrate on anything else while her little Elpis was out there somewhere? Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Haldor sat around on the bar drinking copious amounts of mead, as usual these days. Since no-one had replied to his request for quick gold, the Nord had rarely left the hall in the warm summer afternoons, not even to visit his New Best Friend Fabian at the marketplace. Jess was indisposed with whatever it was that women got up to when they didn't want to put up with their boyfriends, and none of the regular visitors fancied a chat with the big Norseman. Allowing himself a break for clear air, Haldor absent mindedly strolled through the litter of drunken peasants and various discarded items that usually found themselves on the floor. So engrossed in his own thought, our friend the Nord barely noticed the young girl sitting alone at a table infront of him, and almost knocked her aside in his half-intoxicated stupor. "Woah, I didn't see you down there Ellaria, sorry if I may have interupted your quiet contemplation." Upon seeing her sad expression and the lack of child by her side, Haldor abandoned his quest for oxygen and sat down on a chair nearby, trying his best to adopt a helpful visage. "Ellaria, friend, why do you look so sad? Is everything alright? What has happened? Ellaria, please let me help." Quote
K-Nut Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Althior walked back into the hall after slapping Finnegan a few times with his new gloves. He walked over to the questboard and signed up for Quest #44 and the Fields of Glory before sitting down in the bar next to his old acquaintance/friend Ellaria. "Good morning, Ellaria!" He noticed her swolen eyes and realized this was not a good morning. "Oh, god..." He was speechless. Quote
