Jedi master Brick Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 "Perhaps we should go and scout. And Elgar, are you going to help or not?" Ok I'll come, I need to vist the butchers anyway. Elgar drinks up and leaves Quote
brickmack Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Koemus hears people nearby talking about what appears to be an army of Barbarians and Orcs. He gets up and walks over (Before Alexis even has a chance to say "hi" back). "What's this I hear about an army massing?" Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Unfortunatley I must stay, I am still cold and wet, and if we get into a fight, I have only 1 shot, and it could prove difficult trying to climb trees and stuff. Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 When the group of rangers got to the Market Elgar thought it would be better to just by his whole cow and go back so he did. He was alread soaked and asked the bar maid to look after the cow till dinner Quote
The_Customizer Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 "I didn't get a good enough look at anyone from the group, but the flag the Orcs were carrying was that from across the sea. I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to the Barbaric clans, so I am not sure. Should we alert everyone here, so they can prepare?" I believe most will know when they arrive, but it would be wise to alert the authorities. Speaking of which who is in charge here? Quote

We are, signora. Remember, the Watch are thugs so the Heroica Veterans are the ones that will fight, so we must tell them. Quote
Fives Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 (edited) "I'm going out to see if there is anything to be found. Elgar, as the rest of the heroes get here, tell them what is going on. Lady Madilinas, are you coming?" Trotter was already almost at the door. Edited August 18, 2011 by Fives Quote

Ah, ok. That makes sense. In which case, I believe it would be best that we send out a group of the finest Rnagers (preferably Elves) to find out what is really going on. And maybe a rogue to get us their quietly. "I'm going out to see if there is anything to be found. Elgar, as the rest of the heroes get here, tell them what is going on. dragunov Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 (edited) Hiro headed to the saloon, feeling hungry she hadn't eaten in almost 48 hours. "Could you please fetch me some raw fish, bread and a tankard of mead?" she questioned the orc at the bar She wondered if anyone was willing to talk, she needed to get some things off her chest. -------------- I would be willing to help you rangers, in a supportive roll, incase things get hot, you won't find a better swordsman. brickmack Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 "Hmmm. I guess no one heard me... I'll just go see what's going on.."Follows everyone out the door. Quote
The_Customizer Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Erdathcath leads the way out, longbow at ready. "Let's go, I think they are over there, I believe I can see something." She stated, pointing to the forest up north. Quote
Fives Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Trotter made his way to the top of a small hill, with Erdathcath right behind him. He stopped, and she stopped behind him. He pointed towards a narrow dirt road down in a valley some ways away from the hill. "There, you see. The footprints. That is where I spotted the group." Suddenly there was a loud crash as some trees fell down in the valley near the path. "Get down!" Trotter yelled. They both quickly ducked out of sight. They both allowed themselves a bit of space to see what it was. Three orcs struggled out of the trees, each holding a chain attached to something. As they got further out of the woods and onto the road, Trotter and Erdathcath were able to see what was on the other end of the chains. A great Troll came bursting out of the trees, a metal collar around it's neck where the chains were connected. The Orcs and their captive made their way up the path and out of sight. "THis isn't good." said Trotter. "We best get back to the Hall and tell the others." With that, Trotter got up and headed back to the Hall. Quote

Back at the Hall they told everyone what they had discovered. "It was MASSIVE. What the Orcs are planning on doing with this beast we don't know, but we must be careful, if one of us was to discover these creatures on a quest, who knows what may happen. Everyone keep alert." Warned Erdathcath, as she quickly got another cup of green-lea for her and Trotter. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 I'll need a cleric to heal my arm.... "I'm one of those." commented sylph as he lifted himself up from the corner in which he had been sleeping. "Let me take a look." Sylph approached the ranger calmly but assertively. He grabbed Bacari's arm and with medical precision peeled back his bloody sleeve, exposing his cut. Bacari grimaced. "Oh don't be such a baby," chastised Sylph. "It's just a flesh wound." Bacari knew that Sylph was under-exaggerating. He could tell that the bloody "wind warrior" had pierced his muscle quite deeply in some places. "Here, this won't even use any of my aether." said Sylph before he made several deft hand gestures and chanted several incomprehensible words. A divine light glowed briefly around the wound which rapidly became a scar which then gave way to healthy skin. Bacari felt rejuvenated and much better. Without a word, Sylph dropped his arm and addressed the hall. "And have you foreigners really never seen an Orcish freedom rally? It's just a bloody parade protesting the enslavement of their race!" With that he retired to his corner, but not before getting himself an herbal tea. Quote
Peanuts Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Henry wondered why everyone was leaving. It's not like he had never seen an Orc. Or an army of Orcs. He had done good business with different Orcs tribes before. In fact, Orc armies always needed spies among their enemies, and therefore they needed humans (or whatever species they are attacking). For luck, few people were daring or greedy enough to apply for them, so they payed very well. And there was the old saying, if you can't beat them or just don't want to beat them, make business ewith them and get yourself much money. Henry thought about going out to spy on the City Guard, but the Rangers seemed like they wanted to fight the Orc army. Henry wasn't very anxious to mess with a gang of trigger-happy Rangers, so he rather stayed in the Hall and looked at the others who stayed there as well. Quote
Fives Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 "Thank you." said Trotter, taking a sip of tea. "For the time being, we should not worry ourselves with this, but we must keep an eye out for anything unusual. I feel like this will not become a true threat for a while, but when it does, we have to be ready." Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 I sit in the corner of the saloon, calmly watching the chaos unfold. A bunch of other Rangers are apparently looking for a fight and are shouting about some Orc parade. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm going to wait for Miss Arbour to confirm the threat before I act. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Thank you, Sylph. Hey guess what rangers? Your cow isn't safe anymore. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Thank you, Sylph. Hey guess what rangers? Your cow isn't safe anymore. "I'm going to regret this. Aren't I?" Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 "I'm going to regret this. Aren't I?" If you regret being blamed for someone killing a cow, then yes. Quote
The_Customizer Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 "I'm going to regret this. Aren't I?" Remind me why you healed him again? Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Remind me why you healed him again? Cause where would be the fun in life with out triggerhappy crossbowmen? Quote

The_Customizer Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Cause where would be the fun in life with out triggerhappy crossbowmen? Well, I have had quite a bit of fun, and I am not "trigger-happy" and I have enjoyed many years of happiness without "trigger-happy" allies, and I would like to enjoy many more years without them as well. Brickdoctor Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Cause where would be the fun in life with out triggerhappy crossbowmen? The fun would be in being able to chat with other heroes without flipping over tables. Quote
