"Good to see you again sir Brickington, how about some cold beer" Arnulf took a seat near knight. " Sir, i always wanted to ask you about your days as a soldier, you were a soldier as i remeber"

IC: De'kra nods vaguely, finding it hard to focus. He felt lethargic, a sort of sleepy feeling that was not all together natural. Maybe returning to the Rito would ignite him again. Or something.

Heckz Brutenhal enters the Heroica Hall in hopes that he will get around well there. Before he could make it to the quest board a large figure steped in his way "Hey, you, tiny man, I've never seen you around here before. Who are you?" "I'm Hecks Brutenhal. I'm new to Heroica. Now, if you could please step out of the wa--" "I DON'T LIKE NEW PEOPLE" the large figure tried to make a punch but before he could land it, Heckz put his hand on an Opal he had and a large icicle fell on the figure's head, rendering him unconscious. Since that didn't attract much attention, he went to the questboard and thought <Hmm what quest are open...almost all for expirienced heroes. I'll just sit on the bar and get me a few bottles of mead then>.

Karie walks over to her corner in the bar. She was tired, and incredibly irritated. She decided a good nap might help out, and rests her head on the table as she drifts off into sleep...

"Meine Damen un Herren!" She had heard the opening spiel at least two other times tonight.

"Meine dammen un herren, madames et meisieurs, ladies and gentleman! As some of you know, two weeks ago Ms. Kost left our billing to pursue another career. And since then, we have frantically been searching for a replacement. And after two weeks of searching, the Lucky Star is pleased to announce that we believe we have found our newest act. She is so wonderful, so talent, so precious, that before the show I told her I want her for my wife. And do you know how she responded? "Your wife, what would she want with me?" Her she is ladies and gentleman, the talented Karie Alderflask!"

Karie stepped out into the spotlight for the first time. If only it lasted...

Sir Brickington noticed Karie in a nap. But he noticed that something was strange. She was mumbling and wiggling. So he went up to her and taped her shoulder and talked soothingly. "Karie, Karie, are you ok?"

"Bye bye mein lieber herr..." Karie mumbles, singing a tune. She's jostled awake by Brickington as the dream ends abruptly.

"Hmm, oh, yeah just peachy. Still sore, but eh, I've felt worse." She stretches. It's too early for alcohol. She notices the new guy in the hall. Black pointy hat.

"Should we call him over? If so, your changing his diapers." She nods in and out of sleep.

"I tell the waitress to invite him." Sir Brickington waved for the waitress and she came. "Can you invite that man in the pointy black hat to come over here. And can I get some fresh fruit. Do you want anything Karie?"

Karie has fallen asleep again.

"The country of Dastan is so wide mein herr..." She mumbles, singing in her sleep.

A waitress went to Heckz's table and, pointing towards a man, said "The knight invited you." I thought I haven't atracted much attention. Why would he invite me of all the people in the hall? Heckz got up and went to where the knight was sitting "Hello, you invited me here?".

[Brickington]

"Yes, but it seems the lady needs some sleep, so let's try to keep our voices down. I invited you because you are freshly new, just like I was a couple of days ago. I hope you can find us as friends. So what brings you to Heroica?"

Jeaux strolled into the Hall and headed to the bar. Whatever their opponent had done, had left him with a rather serious headache. He ordered a glass of whiskey, hoping it might do something to help settle his head, hair of the dog and all that. The hall look far busier than when he had first arrived. In one corner he could see Brickington and Karie talking with a hero he had not encountered before.

Well, as you have already noticed I am a Mage. I always performed ice magic in the streets and people said I was very talented. So I went to Heroica where I gain money AND I do " an act of heroism. I'm still waiting for a quest in which I sign up. What about you? Why did you enter Heroica?"

[Emjajoas]

Em enters the Hall, somewhat tired, but lost in thought. He sits at the bar an orders a drink, swirling it around in the glass. He takes small sips between thoughts, barely registering his surroundings.

Karie wakes up from her nap, content, but still uneasy. She decides to do some exploring.

"Don't let anyone steal my seat." Karie gets up and heads for the library.

"Well, I came after I was wrongfully given the title of kingship in my homeland. I gave the title to the rightful heir and then came here in search of adventure and to help out people in need."

"Knight i think we have someting to discuss, i hope you realise the consequences of your actions" Arnulf said to Sir Brickington "Through al our journey together you were intrested in welfare of others, and have suspision in us rogues doing something amoral" Arnulf looked coldly at Sir Brickington "I applaud your bravery during the battle knight, you were one of the main reason for our success in the last battle, but you put lives of the innocent at the whim of some man you just saw, Karie, Jeaux, Em too, and i want to know why"

"Arnulf, I realized it was unethical and against everything I have been told to do. But if we didn't do that those men, they would have gone back down where the Stealer is and got themselves badly harmed and possibly killed. But again, it was unethical But I am still young and I need to learn."

Sarge, being rejected for the third quest in a row, gives up life.

" I know that you are young, and I know that everyone is allowed to make mistakes, that's how we learn. I don't mind killing some people for money, you may say it's wrong and you would be probably right. But i choose my contracts, guided by my inner code of ethics, and kill only targets. That's what i do. But harming innocent man on behalf of some madman, i say we should have fought against him, me and you, if noone else wanted " Arnulf paused " You have right to make your own decisions, but don't send me to do dirty work ever again, if we are to stay in contact, ok ?"

"It is probably a good thing that I hang around you." Brickington pulled up a chair for Arnulf. "Have a seat, Karie wanted me to save her seat, but she didn't say I couldn't add a seat. And I actually thought that Karie was going to do it. But anyway, I don't consider her a madwoman, do you?"

"She probably isn't but she has some issues, that's for sure, she told me she rebeled agains her parents, she's young woman, to much upredictable for my taste, but to say she's mad, i'm not entitled to say " Arnulf pored some beer into his mouth, still feeling uncofortable siting with Knight. Arnulf thought about his earlier view of knight as man with titles and empty words. He hoped that sir Brickington would prove him wrong but he had his doubts. But both men were new in Eubric, and had time to prove their merits.

Sir Brickington then noticed the man he had ignored for the last few minutes, Heckz! Brickington turned to Heckz, "Please forgive me for my rudeness, I am very sorry. I would like you to meet a very fine man I would like to consider a friend, although he may think differently about me. His name is Arnulf." He turned to Arnulf, "Meet Heckz, he's the new guy, even newer than us."

"We are not close enough to call each other friend's, for that it takes time and trust, and to be honest i don't trust you after our last mission, but we are more like an asociates" Arnulf said " Master HeckZ nice to meet you, I'm Arnulf"
