Heckz watched as a drunk Karie and a possibly drunk Arnulf were singing and making a fool of themselves and he turned to Sir Brickington "How about I buy you a wine? You invited me the moment I stepped in here. More wine please!"

A crackle of thunder is heard outside, and the patrons in the Hall tonight hear an enormous rain storm. They hear the "plock plocks" of rain smashing down on the grand Heroica Hall. Suddenly, the door creaks open, and a young woman scrambles up the steps to the bar.

"You three, come with me please, to the docks."

The chosen heroes were for Quest 60:

Thanks all for signing up, it was a difficult decision to choose only 3. You have 24 hours to confirm and go shopping.

" As you command milady, but i would like to buy some potions if you don't mind " Arnulf turned to Sir Brickington "Well we are in a team once again, a chance to redeem our honour"

Karie had finished her dance routine, bowing. She appeared slightly more sober than before due to the exertion of the number. She looked about, noticing something amiss. She looked down at Heckz.

"Where's Brickie and Arnulf? She asked, unsure about being alone with this newbie.

Heckz looked to Karie, surprised that she talked to him. "While you were drunk they were admitted in the quest".

Karie looked out of the bar and into the hall.

"They left to go on a perilous adventure, then."

Karie felt lonely. She could interrupt the automaton, but that seemed somewhat rude.

"Oh." She got off the table and sat in a chair. She began to twirl her knife blade's point into the table, around and around.

~Two new quests are up on the Quest Board (#61 by Kintobor and #62 by Dannylonglegs)!~

Scheherazade was glaring at the frolicking heroes in dismay. She muttered to the jug she was ferociously wiping dry.

"Champions today... No table manners whatsoever! Now I've got muddy bootmarks all over the tables!"

Amorith glances up from his table and notices that new quests have been tacked to the board.

After looking them through he decides to sign up for quest 62

Zoltan steps up to the questboard after being rejected from his first sign-up.

He reads more carefully this time and reads one that is interesting.

"Inexperienced, huh. That'd be me!" Zoltan said.

Zoltan signs up for quest 61.

As Nessa did not seem quite ready to talk at the moment, Jeaux took a quick stroll over to the quest board to see if there had been any recent updates. He saw 2 new notices requesting the aid of Heroica. Jeaux took the quill, that usually set near the board and signed his name on both, before returning to see if Nessa might have summoned the courage to express why she still felt such discomfort.

Amma was still standing near the Quest Board, as two new quests were published. {A Quest with Ghosts and a cemetry. Sounds very interesting. And they are looking for a spellcaster. Sounds like something for me.}

"Losing your family must have been hard on you, and losing that last link to your mother doubly so, but you've found the gem and the one who stole it. Shouldn't that bring you some level of comfort?"

Nessa's eyes cleared up a bit as she continued: "I thought that, too. But I was wrong. Indeed the one I was following was not the one who had stolen my gem. Or at least she pretends to not have so. This dwarf I was hunting was in fact Stigveladi. Perhaps you've met her by chance. We were on a quest around Charis on the Fang Coast together. There was where it really started. Something trembled my mind. I got lost in memories..." She paused. After a short while she continued with a lowered voice: "And I started to here voices. I don't really know who they are. The one seems to be my mother... but it can't be. She is dead. Slain by cowards. Unprepared for battle. Weaponless. How can she talk to me? Am I getting insane?" She paused again. This time for a little bit longer. Her eyes widened. Her mind was absent. As if under controll by a puppet master she stood up, walked over to the quest board and signed up for quest #61 and quest #62. Then she returned to the stranger and took her seat. She came back to mind. Eyes wide open not understanding what happened to her, without a memory of the last few minutes she was away. She just felt a deep weariness. Nessa looked to the stranger whose name she did not know and whispered: "What is happening with me?"

Karie yells from her table to the bar keep.

"Oi! My boots aren't muddy! They're rather clean actually."

She walks over to the quest board after catching wind of new quests.

"Quest 61, not a bad excuse to check the cemetery. However this other one has more money involved. And a not shady, potentially lying employer."

Karie writes her name on the sign up for Quest #62

Amma hears what the psyched girl says while reading the Quest Board. {Sounds familiar. I like her style. Maybe I should get to know her some time. It will be interesting how she got what she is now. Whatever that is.}

A fidgety man clad in the Hinckwell colours cautiously stepped into the room full of Heroes. He looked around the room nervously once he got to the sign-up sheet. He looked it over and noted the names on a piece of parchment he carried with him. His note read:

An older looking man makes his way into the hall, his boots and pants covered in mud, his cloak splotched with dirt. He makes his way over to the Quest Board and checks the sign up list, taking a small leather bound notebook out, and taking note of the names on the list.

Heckz notices 2 new quests on the questboard. "Let's see...blah blah blah inexperoenced...blah blah blah spellcaste- wait: Inexperienced spellcaster?! I hit gold!" Heckz signs up for Quest #61 without even looking at #62 Oh wait, there was another quest... Oh well, already signed up for this one.

Karie watched as Heckz came back up from the quest board, a little sore due to her drunken stupor. The scar hurt especially more than her head.

"Very. Don't you feel as if your head was hurting?" Heckz turned away from karie and went to the questboard, AGAIN. "You know what, I might sign into this quest" Heckz signs up for Quest #62

Jeaux was unsure how to respond. Hearing the voices of the dead typically wasn't a good thing, but as distraught as Nessa seemed to be, saying that would do little to improve the situation.

"I wish I could say. As to whether or not you're crazy, I would not be so quick to jump to that conclusion. I've read many reports of people's souls surviving beyond death, either as ghosts or tethered to their former body. The idea that your mother could be speaking to you beyond the grave is not an impossibility in a world with magics such as these. What do these voices have to say? They may hold some of the answers that you seek."

Surely he was right. "The dead hold the answers for the living", Nessa muttered. "They seem to me as a guidance. But I am not sure were it leads. There are in fact to opposite directions they want to push me to. At least I have this feeling. It is hard to recognize the right way - whatever that means." Something came into Nessa's mind. "We have by now talked a lot, but I still don't know your name... _{despite who you are}", she added slightly.

OoC: It's funny how Amma could read the notes that were taken even though they weren't explicitly shown around... (I really just wrote Amma for me, I included the given name for the actual notes taken. I changed the format to make that a bit more obvious.)
