Kintobor Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Karie simply smiled and turned back to her chair after hearing Jeaux's reassurance. She still couldn't shake the feeling of being used and manipulated, and her scar showed for it. She sat back down and noticed Heckz fiddling with her wine. "Didn't your mother tell you not to play with your food?" Karie playfully asked. Quote

Kintobor Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Karie could tell Heckz couldn't take a joke. She sat down in her chair in the corner and began to fiddle with her dagger. "So Heckz, you like theatre?" She was more focused in her dagger than Heckz at the moment. Quote

"So Heckz, you like theatre?" She was more focused in her dagger than Heckz at the moment. "Of course I do. I like it when they mix sadness and humor in a play." Heckz turned to the waitress and shouted "Water please!" Quote
Kintobor Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 (edited) Karie was getting intrigued. She put her dagger away and relaxed a little. "So you like dramedy? Interesting. You ever see anything by Flander and Abe? They're pretty good, I've performed a couple of their songs myself actually." She then noticed the waiter heading for bar. "Make that two!" She then turned her attention back to Heckz. "You nervous at all? What with the possibility of being eaten alive by the undead in the cemetery?" Edited March 11, 2013 by Kintobor Quote
herrJJ Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 "I hope they lead you down the right path, and if not at least you will know more about their intentions. If you find yourself overcome again, I'm always willing to provide an ear and a shoulder to lean on." "Thank you. It is good to have someone to talk to; to have..." Nessa looked into Jeaux's face: "A friend." Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 (edited) The Hinkwell employee stepped into the Hall again. "Umm..." he started, cleared his throat, and continued. "The Heroes for Quest 62 have been chosen. You have 8 hours to finish your conversations, purchase supplies, and research Sundestia, or accomplish whatever small tasks you must before meeting me at the docks, And then we'll set sail for Brendenton." He awkwardly waited for a minute, and then retreated out the door, muttering about filing paperwork to himself. The chosen heroes were for Quest 62: Amorith (played by legobodgers) Nessa (played by herrJJ) Karie (played by Kintobor) *Party Leader* Dreyrugr (played by Vash the Stampede) Drake (played by xxlRocka) *Back-up Party Leader* (OoC: I'll open the Quest Thread later this evening, no later than 8 hours from now. Any questions asked about Brendenton or Sundestia in the Library will be answered either then, or whenever I find time before then. Also, I'm currently asking Kintobor if he wants Karie to be PL. Drake is my back-up if he's too busy QMing. Kintobor is fine PLing and QMing! It's a Go.) Edited March 11, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote

herrJJ Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 "Oh, except tough enemies I hadn't had to face before, new and especially more allies I ever had before I furthermore found some sort of destiny. It brought me here. *snip* "As I told you, Jeaux. More enemies, more allies. That was my call. I am on my way to destiny. I wish you luck and hope to see you soon. Until then, please try to keep alive." By these words Nessa got up and made her way to the docks. Just taking another stop at the library for some further information. As she left she waved goodbye to her new friend. Quote

Kintobor Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 OOC: For all those who signed up for Quest 61, the Sign Ups end tonight at midnight. I'll have the list up shortly thereafter. Most of you will be asleep by that time, but that's alright. It'll allow you to wake up tomorrow to either the wonderous trumpeting blaze of "Yes! You're in!" or "No! You're not in!" Quote
Kintobor Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 (edited) Darkness falls over Eubric, as the moon nestles into the sky. The patrons of the Heroica bar either too drunk or drowsy to take notice of the ghastly image being scrawled out across the wall. When morning comes, a small crowd begins to form around the wall in the usually rather quiet foyer of the hall. "Great, first muddy tables, and now this! Where is that janitor? Do we even have a janitor?" The orcish barmaid walks off to find some cleaning supplies, leaving the astonished crowd to contemplate the message. The message scrawled across the wall reads as follows: "The following individuals have been invited to the Way's End Church this evening: Amma (PsyKater) PARTY LEADER Zoltan (LTPro) Jeaux (joeshmoe554) Em (emjajoas) Heckz (Eric Su) We're just dying to meet you!! -The Residence of the Eubric Cemetery" OOC: For those of you who have been chosen, I'd like to say congratulations! The quest should be up by the time you read this. You have 24 hours to confirm. If there is any problems, please let me know ahead of time either by PM or an OOC, or Out Of Character post in the Quest Forum. Alright 61ers, get your supplies ready, go shopping if need be, and finish anything you need to. The ghosts can't wait to make your acquaintance... Edited March 15, 2013 by Kintobor Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Jeaux watched as Nessa left the hall. He thought about her last words to him before departing. please try to keep alive. That was usually his plan, but it was nice to know that someone would miss him if he were to fail. He finished his drink before retiring for the night. The next morning, he noticed a peculiar message on the wall. It did not look like the work of a mortal being. The message seemed to indicate he had been chosen for the quest in the local graveyard, but who might have chosen him. The request was from a Father McCreary, but this hardly seemed like the work of a man of the cloth. Jeaux departed the hall, and made his way to the cemetary. Perhaps the father might be able to shine some light on the mysterious circumstances. Quote
PsyKater Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Amma reads the red letters on the wall and leaves the Hall without showing any emotions. Quote
KotZ Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 A female walks into the Hall (no, this is not a "so and so walks into a bar jokes"; get your minds out of the gutter). She says: "My name's Kiray. I'm a knight. And yes, men, I can take care of myself. No thank you." Quote
legobodgers Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Pleased to see that he had been chosen, Amorith left for Sundestia. Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 (edited) A scruffy gnome known as Grimwald Gjinko, who is short even by his race's standards, shuffles into Heroica Hall and leaves mudprints on the floor. "Well 'ello there me fellows!" he shouts "I'm lookin' farward ta' meetin' tha' lotta ya!" Then he sat down and groomed his grimy beard, waiting for someone, anyone to come talk to him. He is very friendly, maybe even too much so. After sometime past, Grimwald got tired of waiting and went to introduce himself to the young female knight who entered not long before him. "'Ello there, lassie! T'name's Grimwald, but ye can call me 'Grimmy'. So, ye new 'round 'ere as well?" Edited March 13, 2013 by LordoftheNoobs Quote
KotZ Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Kiray looks over at the dwarf named Grimwald. She takes in his features, the beard and cape. She had rarely encountered dwarves before; she knew they were real but had only heard of them in stories. She flashed Grimwald, or Grimmy as she learned he could be called, a warm smile. "Hello, Grimmy. My name is Kiray. Sorry, I don't have any nicknames," she said and gave a sheepish smile. Kiray pushed a lock of hair behind her ear. "Yes, I'm new here. Are you? I'm assuming you are. Not many of those of high rank walk around with minimal gear, at least not where I'm from." Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 (He's actually Gnome, but I can see why you'd think he was a dwarf!) "Ye, tha' I am." He bowed slightly as he said this. Then he said "Nice te meet ye, Kiray." He smiled a yellowtoothed grin, albeit a pleasant one. Quote
Jebediahs Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 With the weight of his rock encrusted left arm slowing his movements, En Sabah Nur leaned heavily on his staff as he lumbered up the steep stair way. He nodded to the scruffy gnome as he made his way to order some roast chicken. "Impressive beard, sir." Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 "Well tank ye kindly, lad! It's good ta see tha' dwarve 'n' gnomes aren't te only ones who 'ave a good taste in facial 'air! I must say tha' yer whiskers are also impress've, 'specially fer a human like yerself!" Quote
Jebediahs Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Nur grinned as his order was placed. "Aye...I must admit a slight touch of magic may be a weeee bit responsible for my beard's growth." He nodded to the gnome's companion before bringing his right hand to his chest and giving a slight bow. "Forgive me for interrupting the conversation with your lass. I am En Sabah Nur and I dabble a bit in the magical arts." Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 "Nah, dun' worry yerself, laddeh! The name's Grimwald, or 'Grimmy' fer short, an' I'm a bit av a magician meself, like. Pleased te meet ye as well!" Grimmy was pleased that the patrons were as eager to chat as he was. Quote
Kintobor Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 (edited) As the day goes on, no one in the hall noticed a floating ghost hovering around the still apparent message in the hall. "Well, this won't work! One of the heroes didn't show up! That female knight looks like a good replacement, though... Hmm, what's that, the knight did show up? Well, might as well cross this out, and add this in again..." "The following individuals have been invited to the Way's End Church this evening: UPDATED!!! Amma (PsyKater) PARTY LEADER Jeaux (joeshmoe554) Em (emjajoas) Heckz (Eric Su) Kiray (KingoftheZempk) Zoltan (LTPro) We're just dying to meet you!! -The Residence of the Eubric Cemetery" Before he leaves in a puff of smoke, he lets out a shocking "BOO!". Edited March 15, 2013 by Kintobor Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Upon hearing a loud "BOO!", poor old Grimmy was reminded of the abberations that used to haunt his village. "Ach, no! A bleedin' ghost!" He said, as he let loose a bolt of lightning from his topaz, but the ghost got away. "Heheh, oops. Sorry 'boot tha', I'm a wee bit jumpy when it comes to spooks!" Quote
