Jebediahs Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Nur waved his gloved hand dismissively and shook his head while trying to hide his embarrassment at not noticing the spirit. "No worries, friend. It seems you're quicker on the draw than I. Almost had 'im. Have ye had much experience with...'spooks'?" Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 (edited) "Well, tis' a long story, bu' basically we 'ad a bit of a..... 'Infestation' of tha blighters at me ol' village once. Ne'er mind 'boot tha, though. We got 'em in the end" he said with a triumphant look. Edited March 13, 2013 by LordoftheNoobs Quote
Jebediahs Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Nur's head bobbed as he dozed a moment. "Apologies for dozing a moment. The stresses of a hero's life catch up to me from time to time. No offence intended to you. It sounds like you busted them good. Did ye use that topaz to defeat them? I've yet to have much practice with mine as it's newly acquired." Quote
KotZ Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Kiray listened intently as the two discussed their methods of killing. She thought for a moment, pushed a lock of falling hair back behind her ear and interrupted with, "Sorry, boys. Hokey religions and ancient sticks are no match for a good sword." The female knight paused a moment. "I think I heard that from somebody else, but hey, it's true." Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 "Indeed I did, I've had me trusty topaz as long as I can remember!" Grimwald then turned to Kiray. "Oh, is tha' so, lass? Then I s'pose ye wouldn't turn down a challenge in the Heroica Arena?" he smirked confidently. "A friendly match, o'course, but I'll show ye a thing-er-two 'bout magic." Quote
KotZ Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 "Well that was a battle. Good fight, Grimmy." Kiray walks off to check the quest board. Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 "That it was, that it was!" replied Grimwald proudly. "We have to do it again some time. " Quote
Scubacarrot Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Guts lingered at the ballistrade the green ship after they had arrived at solid ground again. His ship. For one third, anyway. The raider wondered how they'd deal with that. The Nord was probably unable to reason with, so it was more than likely they would not reach an agreement on how to best use the ship. The raider would like to own a ship, it would probably be a good investment. This colour would have to go, as well as the blood-red sails and the numerous barbaric symbols and seemingly randomly scattered bones and the like, it sticked out like a sore thumb. The Junk-type ship looked fast though, and even with the three of them it was incredibly easy to sail. It could use some armaments as well, perhaps he could get his hand on a couple of cannons, or a small ballista... Strivvian arms merchant all over again. That reminded him, didn't they have a hold full of fruit? Shouldn't they do anything with it before it went bad? He'd have to discuss these things with Nerwen, and maybe Eric too, although he hoped he could convince him to give up his share of the ship. The Raider sighed, grabbed a basket of apples from the hold, and started walking towards the Hall. Quote
Flipz Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 (edited) Arthur stole back into the Hall, as quiet as a shadow. It was strange...to him, just days ago he had left its safety, but from what Schezerade and the Copper Fox had told them, over three months had passed since that fateful day. The dark winter had passed into a pleasant spring, but Arthur hardly noticed, so focused was he on the past... He had been a completely different person than he was now...or perhaps it had been everything else that had changed? Arthur didn't know. All he knew was, he had to move forward. He had debts, and not the kind that could be paid in Gold. It was time to turn over a new leaf...and for that he needed to see a certain Metasimian. Keeping hidden lest the others from his former party saw him, he hurried past a muscled Raider with a respectful nod and a murmured apology and entered the Library. UsernameMDM Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Hoke was exhausted. He trudged as quickly as he dared to his room for much needed rest. The ordeal with Wren had drained him on all accounts, and he couldn't help but feel a hint of sadness knowing it would be awhile before he saw Vipera again. Maybe a day or two of sleep would make it a bit better... Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 A man runs, now sprinting, now stumbling, though the backstreets of Eubric. He is close to the Heroica Hall, though he does not know this. All he knows is that he has to get away from the boy with the blood-red eyes. Dak will be back. Quote
CMP Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Atramor's brief look over the Questboard yielded no new requests for heroes, so instead he sat at the next most logical location for him to be at; in a chair, half a bottle of rum in his hand. It was surprisingly quiet, especially without a chicken pecking at some corn or making irritating observations of his views on life. He grumbled, and pulled Ratsbane out of his belt, looking over the blade dully. It still had the purpose he'd created it for - killing vermin, obviously - but now it felt like all he was carrying around was guilt. It wasn't even all that powerful anymore anyway. He stuffed it into his cloak. Maybe instead of carrying around a bunch of toothpicks he should invest in a real weapon. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 (edited) Sarge comes back into the hall, his quest brief; yet successful. He sets up a small notice reading: Buying: 1 Diamond (Light) Selling: 1 Ruby (fire) Edited March 28, 2013 by Skyrimguy Quote
Brickington Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Sir Brickington walked in the hall, getting back from his latest quest. He sat in a lonesome corner and just waited. He was in deep thought... Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Grimwald watched as a myriad of new faces (well, new to him anyway) appeared in the Hall. Most of them seemed fatigued and in deep thought, as if their quests had sucked most of the life out of them. The old gnome stroked his hairy chin thoughtfully as he imagined what they must have been through during their time as heroes, and wondered if this sort of life was really suitable for an ex-janitor like himself. He had had some experience on the field, but that was mostly healing the sick and tending to the wounded, not galavanting off into the unknown for fame and glory. He set these thoughts aside as he ordered a beer and put his stubby little feet up. He looked forward to the day when he was called for duty, but for now he was content relaxing in the Hall's warm and oddly comforting atmosphere. Quote
Scorpiox Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 A burly norseman strolled through the doorway of the hall once more, rolling a gem around in his hand. He lightly made his way through tables and chairs filled with all manner of people, many of them new, but he paid them no heed. Haldor deliberately refused to look at Arthur as he found himself a comfortable seat and planted his muddy boots up on a nearby table. The nord waved his hand. "Somebody get me a drink, I'm thirsty, and dog-tired." Quote
The Legonater Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Rone entered the hall. a solemn look to his eyes. He felt old, tired, and worn. He found his old friend Haldor sitting down, and moved to sit beside him. "Somebody get me a drink, I'm thirsty, and dog-tired." Agreed. Scheherazade, two drinks, on the double. Also, you really need to send out a request for a waiter or something. All the new kids want one. I turn to Haldor. Neither of us want to talk to the events of the past, that much was clear. A slight mischievous glint comes to my eyes. So, Haldor. Should I invest in armour, or my bow? Quote
Scorpiox Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Haldor leant back and put his hands behind his head, grinning. "You might want to invest in somethin' to keep you alive long enough to use these fancy weapons, seein' how things turned out against the witch. A nice bow is only so much good if you're too busy bleedin' to utilise it." The nord sat forward as the drinks arrived, and wasted no time in helping himself to some of the ale. Not too long after taking a sip however, Haldor made a gagging noise and promptley spat the frothy liquid out. "Pah, what is this stuff anyway? I put my neck on the line to save this damned city, and what do I get in return? Warm bloody stale bloody beer that tastes like its been left out in the rain for half a day. Someone should lock this place down." Quote
The Legonater Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 I was hoping to pick up a nice piece of armour with some meaty protection on the quest, but I guess some things don't work out so simply. Still want to get a hold of an Amethyst if I can. I laugh lightly. Maybe all 'them consumables have watered down your taste. Besides, where would you run off to? Quote
Shoker86 Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Arnulf entered the hall, eager to get legless again. Asigments meant no drinking and no wenches. "Pour me another pint of your finest, thanks, and prepare some girls" "Where is Karie, anyone knows? " Quote
Brickington Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Sir Brickington walked up to Arnulf, "So what do you think?" Quote
Shoker86 Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 "About what, last quest?" Arnulf tried to say something while he was drinking "I don't know, there are some things left hanging in the air" Quote
Brickington Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 "Sadly I think we will never find out what really was happening." Sir Brickington was trying to keep Arnulf away from getting drunk. Quote

"Me also, I don't think I got much beside gold and potions for all that. Well, you can't be ungrateful, the way you're going, you've made enough cash by yourself looting those damn chaos beasts." Haldor thought for a moment. "Somewhere with better ale probably, and some nicer views, perhaps a waitress wouldn't go amiss." He paused. "But really, I could never leave, this is my home now. After all this time, I don't think they'd have me back. The way I left wasn't exactly... honourable." Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Skrall walked back into the hall banging his head on the door frame for what must have been the umpteenth time, though he didn't seem to care. He trudged up the stairs without bothering a to glance at the quest board. The ogre couldn't even managed a small smile for Scheherazade as he requested a tankard of ale and moved into the seating area. He passed Dyric and Haldor's table, but he was in no mood for conversation, opting for a quieter one further from the bar. He approached the table where a small gnome sat with his feet on the table. The ogre set his tankard down. "Yer in my spot, gnome." Quote
