Benji watched as Alexis got up from her seat and came over towards him. He didn't expect her to, but at least it was a nice surprise.

"Hi Alexie..." He mumbled. "Sorry I didn't say hi to you earlier. I didn't think you would remember me. We've haven't talked in a long time."

Benji mused for a minute and then continued to talk: "I don't know how my mother is. I haven't talked to her since my father died and I left home. In fact, my family is what I have been worrying about, since I've gotten back from the fields. It was a nice and relaxing time, to go hunting, but it reminded me of the good old days. Back home. I miss my mom. I miss my friends."

He sighs. "I'm depressed, Alexis. At least I think so. I think that is what's wrong with me. Anyways, I'm not sure you're doing so great either. My elfish instincts have been honed a bit with all the hunting, so yeah... I just felt that you might be going throw some rough times too." Benji continues to stare at the table as he talks to the elf.

I look at the list of chosen heroes, surprised.

A party leader? Me? Could such things be possible after all the deaths wrought fighting Wren? Deaths I may have caused myself?

I think mournfully of Hans. Surely there was some way he could have been saved...

As Requiem shakes in my hands I nod. His death still needed to be avenge. All their deaths did. They died to protect Eubric, so protect I must. It's the best the Assassin of the Light can do.

I just hope they're fine with a party leader who hasn't been able to sleep...

Xander awakes to a note by his side; reading the contents, he makes his way inside the Hall, carefully wrapping two Level-up Mushrooms in a small, brown package.

Squinting his eyes from the sudden change in lighting, he spots the table where Benji and Alexis are talking. Placing the package near the female assassin, he awaits the return payment a few tables down, as agreed upon in the note.

Althior walk up to the bar, taking no notice of anybody. He sees the members of his field party, along with Alexis, Haldor, and others. He makes no attempt to speak with them, as he knows now that the life of the dead is an isolated life. He sits at the bar and orders a drink, pondering his next action.

Hearing footsteps pass by my chair, I freeze my train of thought momentarily and check behind me. (Rogue sixth sense, got to love it.) To my surprise, it is Althior - bearing the magicks used in necromancy! I stand up and walk over to the sage-turned necromancer.

"Welll hello there, master of the dead. Long time no see!" The irony is not lost in my voice, the odd situation and the sight of an old friend brightening my mood a bit.

Althior looks down from the bar and recognizes the assassin. He makes no change in his mood or tone of voice, but still speaks. "Greetings, Sorrow, It has indeed been a long time. I can't even recall the last time we met," His discomfort with the creature goes away, for he realizes the life of the Necromancer will be highly involved with this species.

Haldor is leaning backwards in his chair when he catches the sight of an old friend entering the bar. The nord instinctively rises to his feet, and is about to head over and greet Althior, until he notices something different in the mage's appearance. Black flowing robes and a dark visage adorned his comrade's form, which set Haldor on edge. For this reason, he decides it best to stay back and see what pans out; it has been many months since the two last met, and anything could have have changed in that length of time.

A long drink was the only remedy to this situation.

"I have no time for jokes, Sorrow," He turns away, "But I have no need to see another Necromancer. They are all vile, cruel, and utter imbeciles. I am not them, thus I have no reason to seek them," He sips his drink and slams back onto the counter, "You should know what I mean better than anyone,"

Finnegan wanders towards Haldor, "Help me..." :cry_sad:

My mood underwent some sort of metaphysical from of whiplash. my brows furrowed and my fist momentarily clenched, my eyes narrowing at the volatile Necromancer.

"Don't try to fool me anybody else, or yourself, Althior. I grew up in a compound where pretty much every adult was a necromancer. For Helvetia's sake, I could spot one on the dark side of the moon if need be."

"Know better then anyone else? Althior, do you think I resent my father? Necromancers work miracles, should they use the power they wield correctly. They can give someone a second chance, breath life back into those who shouldn't have departed. My father is the only family I have left - if he is even alive at all!"

"Yes some of the men I was seeing both walked out on me. Not sure what to do with myself really."

Alexis then turns to the man and hands him 700 gold. Taking the package she inspects the shrooms.

"You were seeing? Oh, you mean..."

The memories were taking over again. Images flashed through his mind... Playing outside with Alexis and Megyddos when they were young... His parents... His aunt and uncle, Alexis's parents. Benji's older siblings. His brother. Oh, if not for the day that his brother threw his life away. Benji's first crush on a girl... How it pained when he had to move away... After that he didn't see his crush any more, or Alexis. Benji wonders how both the girls have grown up. Well, he sees one of them here. Broken hearted. Disspirited. And probably looking for the answers in the wrong places, as Benji keenly noticed earlier a infamous book sticking out of Alexis's bag.

"I must get her to think of the past." Benji mused to himself. "Then she will realize all is not as bad as it seems."

His thoughts turn back to reality, in the meantime he had failed to see his friend Xander walk up with a suspicious mushroom smelling package.

"Do you remember Megyddos, Alexie?" Benji questioned faintly.

Haldor swings around to face the aura, confused.

"Oh really? What can I help you with, then?"

As Benji replies, Alexis eats her Mushrooms going to level 30.5. "Somewhat. I've let my life here as a hero replace my memories of the past. I do remember that he told some good stories."

Althior chuckles. "Most Necromancers bring back anyone they can, just to show how 'powerful' they really are. Sure, they bring back a soul worthwhile every once in a while, but they bring back those who don't deserve a second chance most of the time. I've made a vow to only bring back those who deserve a second chance." He sighs, "I died last night, and for some reason I was born into a new life. For some reason I was meant to be brought back. The duty of the Necromancer has fallen to me,"

Haldor swings around to face the aura, confused.

"Oh really? What can I help you with, then?"

"Well, Althior died last night, and is somehow here. He's also acting really odd, I haven't spoken for about three months, and I still have no she-aura!" :sing:

I am taken slightly aback by his sudden revelation. I nearly sputter with my next sentence, not expecting... this, of all things.

"W-what? You, Althior? Dead? Revived? Skin intact?"

I look at the Necromancer, my hood hiding my quizzical face.

"...You didn't get eaten by a wildebeest on your way back to the fields, did you?"

Haldor leapt to his feet, shocked. The nord grasped the aura by two shoulder-like protrusions and proceded to shake him.

"You... what? He died, how? And how is he still here? Has he kept his mind? Do we need to kill him? Is he a threat?! Tell me?!"

Finnegan screams like a little girl. "I don't know! I don't know! Don't kill meeeee!!!" :cry2:

I look down and recall my former appearance.

"Looked every bit human on the outside... I was just dead on the inside, back then. Few incidents later and my body started decaying. My skin is all but gone at this point... and my heart is going to follow suit."

I gently place my skeletal, gloved hand over my chest.

The nord sits back town again, and speaks to Finnegan quietly.

"I'm not going to kill you, pull yourself together. Now tell me, is it still Althior, or not? Can we help him, or is it better just to put an end to this right now?"

"Well, I have that to look forward to then," He laughs, not worrying at all.

The nord sits back town again, and speaks to Finnegan quietly.

"Why don't you just go and ask him yourself?"
