Darkdragon Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Sees the names are posted for quest three and excuses herself to check the list. She comes back momentarily with the disappointment evident on her face. "Oh well, perhaps next time I will get the chance to thwart evil and prove my worth. Bash'm good Cronk." She takes her seat again and orders a glass of wine. "As a matter of fact, I do have a story to tell. " she replies to Sir Sven and begins to tell her tale... Quote
JimBee Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Hybros grins beneath his tattered cloth scarf, and mentally prepares for his quest. "Hello, and nice to meet you, fellow heroes. I am excited to go on this quest with you, and let us all do our best to earn that reward". Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 (edited) Cronk sorry Cronk not go with friend Ranger Docken but Cronk think Ranger Docken make great leader. Khorne Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Eric read the announcements on the Quest board. He was glad he had chosen to sign up for the second Quest as well, since Mack Donauld apparently wasn't interested in his services. When he read the names he felt somewhat sad that he would not be fighting alongside Tesni or Jess, but at least there were some other familiar faces in his party. He smirked. "Looks like I'm with the kyckling-älskare and the gamla sothöna* on this Quest. Let's see if they live up to the expectations" Eric thought. He read the names again, this reading the descriptions too. "Det finns ett bra utbud av personer i min grupp. Rufindel kommer att bli en bra ledare.**" He turned around and made his way through the crowd, heading towards the inn, once more. A slight hint of happiness and relief could be noticed on his complexion. Some day, he would be able to return North. * kyckling-älskare: chicken-lover (Atramor Gibbins) gamla sothöna: old coot (Lord Boomingham) **There is a good range/variety of people in my group. Rufindel will be a good leader. Quote
SirSven7 Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Whilst listening and enjoying Cinna's tale, Sven looks across to the Quest Board, so his name has not appeared on the List of Hero's required, thats ok, he would get his chance to prove himself at a later date, now all he had to do was enjoy the free food and drink and the company of many good warriors. Maybe he could get used to this. Maybe they would all respect him as a true Knight. Time will tell. Quote
Tamamono Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 "It seems I've been chosen for the first quest." Tomas says happily, "I look forward to adventuring with you all!" Quote
Peppermint_M Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Tesni smiled, the path to unlocking her own and Cryf's destiny had opened. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Cronk sorry Cronk not go with frined Ranger Docken but Cronk think Ranger Docken make great leader. Cronk hope Ranger Docken bash lots of evil. Thanks, Cronk. I hope you get to bash lots of evil, too. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Cronk thanks friend Ranger Docken. Cronk realize Cronk only meatshield in Cronk's party. Cronk be right back, Cronk should go buy second potion. Cronk must be strong to protect rest of Cronk's party. Quote
CMP Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Atramor grinned as he saw his name among those on the second Quest. Not only did he get one, but the most rewarding one, to him. Among those he recognized were Eric, the spoiled Orc war veteran, and the Imp fit for a costume party. Well, at least they had a healer, and an experienced one at that. Thinking of the Quest ahead, he went to the public armory of Heroica Hall, grabbed a whetstone, and began sharpening his Sai-dagger, while McCafferey flew off his hat and began warming herself by a nearby forge. Sisco Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Jess walked into Heroica Hall, wandering nervously over to the questboard, wondering if she had been selected for the Harvest Time quest. It didn't take long to find her name, and Jess's smile broadened when she saw her friend Tesni's name also on the Harvest Time quest. Her happy demeanor quickly eased, however, when she saw Eric's name not on Harvest Time, but on Looking Through the Wares. Too bad, Jess thought. It would have been fun for all three of us to go on an adventure together. At least I still have Tesni. Jess soon saw her friend, waved, and went to see her. Quote

Peanuts Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 "Well, I suppose they couldn't take everyone", said Henry, seeing his name nowhere on the sheet. "But there's always a next quest." Quote

Forestboy Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 (Preivous Post, #7) IC: Ruitath entered the Hall as a great deal of talking was going on as the quests were just announced. Ruitath's heart skipped a beat as he ran forward into the main quarters. Apparently, he was late. A large crowd was gathering around the board as many heroes were looking at the papers and scanning their names to see if it was on the list. Many of the heroes were celebrating by going upstairs for a morning drink. Ruitath pushed his way towards the front, looking for the job he signed up for. The list of names for his job was quite large. Many of which were crossed out, while a few were circled. He put his finger on the paper and started at the top going down to the bottom and found his name scratched out. He was sorely dissapointed. "Well, I guess not much has changed, then." he thought. The orc woman consoled him saying, "There will be plenty of quests to come." ~FB~ Quote
UsernameMDM Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Returning tired yet refreshed from his sword and shield drills, Hoke sees the looks of excitement and disappointment across Heroica Hall. He notices a general flow to and from the Questboard and makes his way over. His finger glides down the list of names written under each quests as he reads them silently. Not reading his own name, Hoke suppresses the rush of disappointed welling in his gut. "A true knight is not the master of his sword, but also of his emotions," he quietly breathes to himself. With a sharp inward breath, Hoke wheels about and congratulates those adventurers selected for the posted quests. "Congratulations my fellow adventurers. May your quest bring you honor and fortune." Hoke makes his way upstairs for a refreshing drink. He thanks the Heroica Hall proprietors for kindly guarding his gear which he retrieves from them. Tankard in hand, Hoke descends the staircase smiling courteously to those he passes. Settling on a low cushioned stool, Hoke looks forward to striking up a conversation with the fellow Heroica Hall patrons. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 "Do not worry Jess, Cryf will make short work of any threat!" Tesni smiled and gestured her friend to the seat next to herself, "Maybe we can quest with Eric later. We should certainly all be stronger!" Quote
Sisco Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Jess smiled and sat next to Tesni. "Perhaps we will," Jess said. "I can't wait to use Blohdhurm again!" Quote
Jebediahs Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 En Sabah Nur silently approaches Nyx. "Congratulations my dear. I know you will lead this eager party to victory in its search for the Ziegfried Matriarch. Fare thee well." :) En Sabah Nur deftly removes a lock of Nyx's hair with his Sangriste Dagger without being noticed. He repeats this behavior with the party members leading the other two quests, Rufindel and Docken. "This is all I need for my scrying spells so that I may follow each team's journey..." Quote
The_Customizer Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Well, perhaps it was not in my future to go on a quest, quite yet. Oh well, I wish luck to those who go, whilst I sit around and drink Green-Lea. Quote
K-Nut Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 I guess our shenanigans will not end after all, Cronk. I shall now go pack for our trip. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Cronk all packed. Sword for bashing evil, check. Shield for stopping bashing from evil, check. Potions for healing from bashing from evil, check. Cozy bedroll for Cronk to sleep under stars, check. Now Cronk wait. Quote
Zepher Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Boomingham nodded happily at the quest board. "Well, that's all in order. I'll see you lot tomorrow, better be ready for some fun!" he exclaimed before downing the rest of his drink and leaving the Hall. Quote
Fred Fred Burger Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 (edited) Chris returned from his trip, he strode into the hall and looked at the quest board. Seeing his name on the quest board bought a thin smile on his lips. "It would be my pleasure to go on this noble quest and vanquish whatever evil is plaguing farmer Macdonald's field's". "I also must say that ranger Bartholomew for was an excellant choice for party leader." Edited August 20, 2011 by Fred Fred Burger Quote
