CMP Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Atramor glanced up at the Quest board, and grumbled upon noticing Althior'd been chosen as well....he assumed the mage was long gone...at least Ellaria was coming along, who'd he'd just returned from Questing from, and he found reasonable enough. He took a quick look around. He didn't know any Tesni. Whoever she was, though, couldn't be much worse than Althior...he picked up a new bottle of rum, and took a swig of its contents. At least he'd get to chop up some rats. Quote
JimBee Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Hybros glanced at the list for the chosen heroes to deal with the rat infestation, and noticed Atramor had been chosen. "Too bad..." he mumbled. At least he would have Tesni with him. Ellaria, the girl with that disgusting fetus, seemed somewhat capable, if lacking in confidence. And this Althior person... Hybros eyed the man robed in black with a peculiar floating... ball of gas? behind him. Hybros felt that he had seen him before, but the man seemed changed, somehow. He would have to keep an eye on that one. Quote
Fred Daniel Yam Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 William walks in back to the Hall, dazed. He slumps down on a chair and drinks. Quote
Palathadric Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 "Trust me, I'd abandon him if I could. Waist of time, space, and money. He downed an entire jug of ale out at the docks! And don't get me started..." He trails off "You'd do well to do so. A drunk object of his nature can't be good for anyone." I post a notice on the board: Anyone selling high-SP artifacts suitable for clerics, please contact me. Seeing the #68 team heading out and not wanting to be stuck in the hall again for a long period of time. I sign up for Quest #69. "Solving murders is actually totally up my alley!" Quote
Bricksandparts Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Althior examines Johon closely. "I, met you? I must have been drunk to talk to someone like-" He stops, for he knows something could end up broken, though he believes Johon gets the picture. He smiles, sheepishly, before he gets up and sees his name selected along with others. One name catches his eye. Gibbin. "You must be kidding me..." He mutters. He returns to Johon. "Refresh my memory, would you? How exactly did we meet?" Johon chuckles, "If I remember correctly, I recall meeting you drunk, but I've seen you at the hall every now and again." Quote
Peppermint_M Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Tesni looked heard her name announced. She raised a cup in the direction of the Hybros, the imp was a good tactician and a deft fighter, maybe they would complete a quest this time. She searched the room for signs of Ellaria, they had quested together long ago with Althior. Cysgodion gave a brief warm glow from his place, it had indeed been the mission where she had aquired her blade. The last hero on the list had a chicken, which was just about all Tesni could recall of him. She carefully held the shaft of Mellt, smoothing the gemstones at the tip and hearing the crackle of ice and lightning in the hammer head. They would splat some rats soon! Quote
Tanma Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 OOC: So this is my first time changing my avatar. Curse my inability to draw legs! OOC: Best Wasp is EMH Wasp. IC: As De'kra returned to the hall he noticed Arthur had sent him another letter. Quickly he replied. Then Vakama it is. I am not sure what you mean by reincarnation. If you mean you can die and be reborn in a new body, then yes that happens. I saw a young hero resurrected from only his mask, and another returned to life after being fused to another being, and that fusion was crushed. They remembered their past and their deaths though, so I am not sure it is the same here. But yes, it is odd that you can see the future. Do not despair, Vakama crossed the line far more than I am sure you did, and he still returned to his brothers and saved his people. And in truth I break unity with Heroica on occasion, especially when it comes to killing. Too many heroes attack first then think. I do sometimes as well, when things get blurry. But it doesn't always matter what groups you owe allegiance to, but which people do you trust. That is why our heroes called each other brother, and not something like comrade. Tell me what you can of the Wolfgang will you? I do not know much about them, but I hear plenty and see plenty about how flawed the houses are. Sometimes it seems like people would be better with the old powers overthrown, but I realize I need to know more about the would be conquers before I make a rash decision. I make too many of those already. So when you are able, tell me everything you can about the Wolfgang. Quote
Tea_Drinker Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 *BANG!*Mumbles* "Ugh, now I know not to anger an Evoker's golem.Uh, this is Heroica Hall, right?" "Yes" "Great! Cam Riverra at your service" "Rogue I suppose?" "Umm, yeah, if thats what you think!Do I look like one?" "Bit young, but, fast, stealthy, small..." "NOBODY CALLS ME SMALL!" "You act more like a barbarian" "Is that a complement?" "Uh, sure, but anyway, go on in" Quote
Bricksandparts Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Johon sees the new hero enter the hall. It had been quite a long time since he had seen any new heroes, and decided to introduce himself. "Hello, Cam, I believe I heard you say?" Johon shakes hands with the (small?) rogue. "Nice to meet you, it has been a while since we have seen any new heroes in the hall." Quote
Peppermint_M Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Tesni, having finished a meal, decided to check the marketplace for things before her next quest. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Noticing the heroes entering the Hall and those preparing to leave for a quest, I decide that it might be a good time to update my list of items for sale: For Sale: Potion (Restores 10 Health to the target.) - 4 Gold (Save 20% compared to Portia's price.) *3 in stock* 10 Gold for all three Venom (Use on a weapon to make it cause a Poisoned-effect on any enemy it hits for the duration of one battle. CMP Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Atramor glances at the monk in rags and lugging around a cart seemingly full of pretzels. He pulls his Robe of the Archmagi off. "How much would ya' pay for somethin' like this? And, er, is that cross thing s'post to be a weapon...?" Quote
Palathadric Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 "Well, seeing that you're obviously desperate to get rid of it and you would get 150 from the elf at the marketplace...230 seems reasonable. I am a generous man." I survey the tattered figure with the goofy hat and hair up and down. "Is there a guarantee that it's genuine?" Quote
CMP Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 "Try it on and find out," remarked Atramor, tossing him the robe, feeling his ether reserve drop significantly on doing so. Quote
Palathadric Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 I feel somehow renewed. It feels really good actually. "Genuine, it is, it appears. How much for it?" Quote
CMP Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 "I'd like to get around 250 coins for it." He paused. "I don't s'pose you'd have in interest in a new weapon to go along with it, would ya'?" Quote
Palathadric Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 "250? You're in luck I made a small fortune doing some dragon-curing in Dastan just now. Your price is high, but your product it good. I'll take it. You're a rogue. I doubt you have anything suitable to a cleric like me." I shrug. I hand Atramor 250 gold. 575 - 250 = 325 gold remaining. Quote
CMP Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 "Dragon-curin' in Dastan? Guess things are gettin' better since I was there," muttered Atramor off-handedly, accepting the gold. He pondered the monk's words for a moment, pulling the Heavy Flail from inside his cloak. "What about this? I wouldn't've been able to use this as just a rogue." Quote
Palathadric Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 "A flail? I wouldn't have considered it yesterday, but that snob in the Training Room seems to think that a Flying Cross is not exactly suitable to a Paladin. Times have changed. He's got to change along with them, and yes this cross is a weapon. Don't be fooled. I've slain many a creature with it. The power of God possesses it and shine through the gems I have encrusted therein. How much for the flail? From the looks of it, it doesn't seem as strong as the Cross of Light in my possession, does it have any unique features that would make it more appealing?" Quote
CMP Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 "Ya' hit somebody with it, the next couple hits that land on them will crumple 'em like a piece of paper. 150 gold and it's yours." Quote
Palathadric Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 "I would say it's a bit high for a weapon that's weaker than either of my crosses. Something closer to 100 seems more reasonable." Quote
CMP Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Atramor grumbled, but time was running out for him to get a move on to the theatre. He handed over the Heavy Flail, taking a pouch of 100 gold in return. "Fine. Put it to good use, old man." With that, he walked out of the hall. Seconds after his departure, a crooked-looking feathery shadow slipped through an open window in surprising silence. Quote
Palathadric Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Monk Pretzel cackles moronically. I hand over 100 gold to Atramor and takes the Heavy Flail. 325 - 100 = 225 gold remaining. With renewed confidence, I head over to the Training Room. Quote
JimBee Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Hybros made his way from the Marketplace directly to the harbor, and began searching for Guts's ship, or what he claimed it to be. His head bobbed up and down as he slowly made his way through the thick crowds of various races in the Fishmarket. Only his hat could be seen by those who were looking through the movements of people at him, although he doubted anyone was watching him. It was impossible to see where Guts's ship was through the people, so he headed in the direction where he thought the sea was. Slowly but surely he reached the boardwalk that connected all of the docks, and looked around for a green and red vessel. It wasn't long before he found it. He looked around, and peeked on board. No one was in plain sight, so he helped himself to explore the ship, lifting lids of containers and poking things. Quote
CMP Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 A distressed-looking woman in red entered the hall, tallying one of the Quest's sign-ups. "At least enough have signed on...still need that knight..." She sighed, and returned outside to the streets of Eubric. Current Sign-Ups for Quest #69: Elgar Glign, Level 22.66 Druid Romulus Dean, Level 16.5 Raider Johon, Level 23.66 Raider Monk Pretzel, Level 16 Cleric Quote
