"Funny, you speak as if you only worship Sylvania in word and not in mind, but I digress. Your appearance made me think of an ether-made abomination, it was when you spoke that I determined otherwise. I stated thus before, but you appear to have misunderstood.

I suppose our difference in opinion stems mainly from the definition of the word 'evil'. I suppose there is no use arguing on the meaning of a word, since it appears as if our views on the general subject seem similar. I suppose in my mind 'evil' can never be right, and sometimes the only 'right' thing to do is to slay someone in order that good may be achieved.

I must disagree with the plucking the fruit of a tree would not be evil in your definition of the word 'evil'. You say that plucking the fruit is not evil, since the fruit is merely the offspring of the tree. In that case, it shouldn't be wrong to slay offspring of any plant, beast, or man. How can you define one as evil and one as not?"

"Pardon me, but I don't recall saying anything of this nature."

"Hmm. Yes, You are mistaken. My devotion to Sylvania knows no bounds. It is the reason for all my actions. I can understand however that you may come to some false conclusions as to my identity due to its veiled nature, but I assure you, I am not a man-made abomination. I apologize for any false conclusions that you may have drawn.

"The fruit is not the offspring, though, you see. The offspring is the seed within the fruit which cannot be born without first being digested or otherwise removed from the tree. It is not an evil, but rather, a good to assist in the birthing process of a tree. An apple may, in fact, be more similar to a hair from the head of a man who's hairs grow into other men. Trees are not like humans." Stated Sylph, amused.

"Ah, I must have misunderstood your meaning then."

Johon chuckles, seeing Karie holding his belongings.

"That's a good point... But if I was going to knock you out it wouldn't really matter. Ok, so what should we practice first?"

[Kintobor]

"Well that depends on what you'd like to know. To be honest I may claim to be the world's greatest pickpocket, but it's not my real profession. Before coming here I worked in a nightclub. It was before that I was pickpocket. So, what do you want to know?"

Karie's grin widens as she lays on the grass with Johon, her more flirtatious side beginning to show.

"I would teach you about hiding things, but unfortunately you don't have a pair of these."

Karie motions towards her chest. If there were a metaphor for the lesson, it would have been a fly and a Venus fly trap.

"As I have said before, I do not find all killing to be evil. Just because the choice is explainable does not mean that it is justifiable, excusable, or acceptable. No matter what the hero's past is like, he still has a choice to pick a different class."

"I agree, while a lot of these choices are explainable, that does not mean acceptable. But can we agree anger in control can be good? I can hit faster and stronger, and I can even walk quietly and seem to disappear like a rogue. But am I some roguish thief? Never.

Karie looks over at Nessa.

"Oh, so you want in on the action too, eh? Whatever floats your boat Nessa!"

Karie smiled seductively.

"Oh, and Johon, what I just did was an example of using lust to get at someone. If someone asks you to go up to their apartment, it's a trap. In particular women seem to do this most often for some reason. Don't ask why, it just seems that most men like to think with their Johnson and not their brain. Don't be one of those guys. As well, don't ever do what I just attempted to do to you unless you have a really good disguise."

Karie gets up and brushes herself off.

"Take it away Nessa."

Karie gestures her hands in a circular motion, finally laying her hands out in the same manner a subject would honour his ruler.

Mizuki walks to the bar with Erik in awkward silence.............

As Mizuki orders several mugs of Hot Chocolate and a plate of cookies, she breaks the silence by saying to Erik "What have you done since fighting the demons under Eubric."

Johon laughed as Karie motions to her bosom.

"You really are a naughty girl aren't you?" Johon says jokingly. "So we're gonna practice some ranged fighting for now?"

[Darth Nihilus]

"Just call me Mizuki, please. So are you are intrested in an arena battle ?"

"I'm sorry, but I must decline at this time. I have to take a trip to my grandparents' house for my grandfather's funeral. I will be more than happy to take you up on that offer afterwards, however."

With that, Dak stretches and says, "It's been extremely enjoyable meeting all of you, and I hope to see you again soon, but I have a funeral to attend. I hope I will see you all when I get back to the Hall." Those being his final words to the party at the table, he walks away, and out of the Hall.

OoC: Sorry Zakura, but I'm taking a vacation from the 25th to the 4th of June-ish. An Arena battle probably would take longer than that, and I won't have Internet access.

"I am who I am. Love me or hate me. I just do what I do. My whole career back at the club was about being "naughty", if that's the term you wish to use. However, in show biz, that's what people want. People love me for loving them, and isn't that what everyone wants in a way? 'Cause lets face it, I certainly didn't get too much in my teens. That's when I went all rebellious and what not."

Karie begins to check her hands, the part of her body which the make up usually smears off first.

"So, what's your whole reason for being here? I swear I've heard enough stories to fill a book with. A really thick book. Oh crud, the make up's smearing!"

Karie pulls out her cosmetics kit and seats herself on a nearby tree stump. She then masterfully begins to reapply the smeared makeup on her hands.

"Anger in control can be good, yes. 'In control' being the key phrase there. I imagine that many of us get angry during a battle, and anger itself is not necessarily a bad thing. But no one else exhibits such hatred that they generate a Darkness-elemental attack. That is nothing but pure malice. And in cases like Intimidation, the anger is not even necessary; Diplomacy will often work just as well.

"And again, the main point here is how Black Knights through Hiding and Dodging can betray their fellow heroes. Don't tell me that that's skill; that's not an acceptable excuse. A hero is told to attack a certain enemy at a certain time because he is the one best qualified to possibly take the hit. Hiding and Dodging, allowing another to take the strike targeted at you: that is not skill, but betraying your party."

Nessa handed over the provisional bows and some sticks to Johon and Karie. "So, using ranged weapons is not that difficult as it might look." Suddenly Nessa turned around while she grabbed a bolt, loaded her crossbow and shot for one of the targets. She hit. "You see. Quite easy. Now just pick a target and aim for it."

"I think dodging requires skill. If a blow is coming at me, and I feel the need to duck to save myself, do not call that 'betraying the party.' There is nothing sinful about hiding. Besides, protecting is not the role of a Black Knight. I am not supposed to take damage and soak up hits, I'm meant to obliterate the enemy. And often I sacrifice my health to provide more strength. If I'm hit, I might be a goner."

Karie pulls the bowstring back and forth. There was nothing overtly satisfying about the bow. She plucked the bow string like a harp, still sitting on a log.

IC: De'kra spotted a new letter from Arthur, and quickly read it. With care he replies;

Vakama, I know something about Veterans who are, they were all on Quest 44. They were called Falconer, Sand Queen, Valkyrie and Feathered Serpent, Dragonlord, along and Copper Fox. I think they were Leader of the Norn, Kukulkan, Orc rebel leader, Oracle of Fabula Sibylla, and Hestia Boneparte. Not sure who Dragonlord is outside of his title. Apologies for only basic facts, I not remember Quest 44 well. Other heroes might know more, see Nerwen if you ever can, she is full of wisdom.

So Wolfgang taking wrong path. Alright, I understand. It just, I sometimes wish revolution would overthrow houses and make Eubric nicer. Freer. But I guess it not this revolution. Thank you for tell I before I did something rash. I not surprise Wolfgang have depth to them though, which is why I not think I can go on quest with them. Their desire for change and my hate for houses might cause me to make mistakes.

...Arthur, I wonder, when we have time, you think you might tell I about your homeland? It not have to be about you, but your people's past. Your home is still only clue to I home, so if you could tell I about it, it might help.

Johon pulled back the string. He concentrated. Aimed for the nearest stone. It was clearly in his sight. The wind started to blow. The grass was moving. Silence surrounded him as he released the arrow-like stick from his bow.

Johon - Rock A (1)

He hit. Precisely. The stone fell down to ground still shaking from the heavy blow it took.

"Good shot." Nessa stated. "You did quite well although I have to admit that the bow is superb." She turned to Karie. "Do you now want to take an aim?"

[Kintobor]

Karie shrugged.

"I suppose so."

Karie gets off her stump, readies her bow and aims at Rock B.

It's harder than it looks. Nessa makes this whole ranged attack thing look easy.

"But you have to know when is the right time to dodge. When there's another hero near you that would take the hit instead, that's not the right time to dodge. And if your intent was to deal Damage instead of soaking up hits, you could have chosen Mystic Knight or Berserker, both of which are more suited to dealing a lot of Damage than Black Knights are."

Karie took a serious aim at the middle ranged stone. She was confident to beat the elven ranger and Johon with a miracolous shot. She tightend the string of her bow. She felt the wood. She closed her eyes and with a wheezy sound she released the string.

Karie - Rock B (5)

Karie stood. So did the stone. She held the arrow in her hand. The bow had managed to free itself and laid on the ground some feet from Karie.

"Not bad", Nessa giggled. "At least you managed not to kill yourself."

Karir got furious at her failure. She threw the stick in her hand towards the megablocking stone.

Karie - Rock B (2)

The arrow made it's way to the stone and made it tumble to the ground.

"Now this is passion", Nessa said still smiling. "Even if one of your ranged attacks fails you have one or another way to finish your opponent. You two did quite well with the technique and the improvisation. Just keep it up and you will soon improve your skills in the ranged warfare."

Drake decided he wanted training. He went outside and set up three targets in a row and opened a bag of objects.

Then he pulled out a rock. He threw it at a target but he missed. He pulled out an aquamarine from the bag. Then he threw the aquamarine at the target. Finally he picked up a dark bomb. It felt strange in his hand. It glowed a lot and a faint aura covered Drake before quickly disappearing.

"What was tha-"

Before Drake could finish his sentence, though, a strange force made the Dark Bomb shake and shudder in his hand. It glowed a lot more brightly and it seemed to buzz with some kind of lightning, but Drake could see this was no lightning that he knew of. The Dark Bomb continued like this for a few more hours and as Drake woke up from the bench, he decided to try again.

Unfortunately, the Dark Bomb was still buzzing, but Drake wasn't very worried now. He simply picked it up, only to receive a shocking surprise. The Dark Bomb... zapped Drake!

"Ooh... right in the stomach."

"OOF! Aughh... ooh.... that's gonna hurt in the morning. Even worse than i-i-it does n-now."

Drake continued nonetheless, even though he was just zapped with darkness in the stomach. He twirled the Dark Bomb in his hand and he kicked it in the air a few times before throwing it. Surprisingly enough, it actually hit the bullseye! Less surprisingly but a bit creepy was that it actually exploded in a huge blast of darkness, completely incinerating the targets, the chalk lines, and a lot of the ground around it.

"Well... that was interesting."

"....Wanna get a sandwich?"

"I think that's for the best."

It's well past midday as Guts and Hybros sail back into dock, with some difficulty, Guts manages to maneuver the El Allegeon exactly to where it used to be. As Guts ties the ship to the dock and lowers the anchor, he says to Hybros:

"You should seek out a cleric if you're not feeling well. Better to deal with this now, than to face the consequences in battle. I'm heading to the hall. See you around."

Before jumping off the ship, Guts heads in the cabin, and comes back seconds later, wearing his shoes, but still only wearing the loose, simple shirt and trousers, although Lifestealer is at his side now. The sailing trip had done him good, although the same could not be said about the imp. Guts hoped the little man would be okay, he was a powerful ally, and not completely rotten like some other "heroes". He nodded to the imp, locked the cabin, and extended the walking plank. With that, the raider heads into the business of Eubric once more.
