Walks into the hall and notices that she has been chose for "Looking Through The Wares."

Sadly, she notice that none of her firends have been chose for the quest.

"Mabye I can make friends with Rufindel," she thinks to herself.

I'm ready to depart now, Quest leader!

I tie my horse, packed and ready to go, to a post outside and enter the Hall. Amid all the hustle and bustle, I grab something quick to drink and wait at a table for the rest of my team.

Well rested and filled with a good breakfast, Hoke watches the excitement grow as adventurers ready themselves for their quests. Hoke longs to join them but knows he must be patient. Not wanting to waste the day and to ease the disappointment of not being selected for a quest, Hoke exits Heroica Hall and journeys to the nearby woods for some peace and sword and shield drills. When he is selected for a quest, he will be ready. Hoke wishes those he passes on the way out a fair day with a smile and wave.

Jess went and sat with Ranger Docken.

"I'm all packed up, and ready to go," Jess said, ready to begin her quest.

Great.

I check my list of those who have checked in today and scratch off another name.

-Bartholomew Docken, Level 1 Ranger (Brickdoctor) *Party Leader*

- Sir Christopher Daggerfall, Level 1 Knight (Fred Fred Burger)

- Tesni Hightribe, Level 1 Barbarian (Peppermint_M)

- Jess Islanti, Level 1 Rogue (cralegoboy)

- Tomas, Level 1 Cleric (Captain Tamamono)

- Thrain Longbeard, Level 1 Knight (Lego Pinocchio)

Namyrra rised from her meditation, she was as prepared for the coming quest as she would ever be, and made her way over to her quest leader Nyx. Who seemed to be surprisingly capable and experienced despite her young years.

"Greetings leader, I'm ready to leave on our quest whenever everyone else is."

Atramor shrugs at the Party Leader's comments.

"She's a smart chicken, she knows when to keep quiet. No, I've got food, and we're both ready to head out," he said, scratching behind McCaffery's neck, and placing her on his hat.

Atramor looked around. It seemed so far they had an Elven ranger. Hopefully the others would turn up soon.

Hi Namyyrra! Wow I love what you've done with your.... uhm.... face? :look: Whatever. Are you sure you don't want to head over to the marketplace? Maybe get yourself a bedroll? You know for restoring Health and Ether while on our travels?

And while we're talking about inventories, I've noticed a discrepancy:

We all start with a Potion (a POTION not just any old potion, but the one called Potion ), a weapon, our class specific item and 10 Gold.

Sylph, Cronk, Bacari and Namyrra, your inventories seem in order, wonderful!

However, Althior, as I see it you start with: Potion, Dragoro, Topaz (lightning), 10 Gold

Your current inventory doesn't add up at all; I don't understand how you swapped a potion (resale 2 Gold) and 10 Gold for both a shovel and a bedroll worth 15 Gold. Please could you rectify this before we set off? That would be awesome! And you can only imagine what Scheherezade will do if you don't.

Now, who wants to join me in a Flaming Gumball? Hmm?

"Hmm," says Althior, "It seems I've messed up again! Note to self, never go shopping again. I'll fix that right away, ma'am."

"I to am ready to journey" said Chris sitting down next to Jess and Bartholomew. Chris adjusted the pack on his back and petted his dog.

"I'm ready to depart", declares Tomas.

Excellent.

I scratch two more names off my list.

-Bartholomew Docken, Level 1 Ranger (Brickdoctor) *Party Leader*

- Sir Christopher Daggerfall, Level 1 Knight (Fred Fred Burger)

- Tesni Hightribe, Level 1 Barbarian (Peppermint_M)

- Jess Islanti, Level 1 Rogue (cralegoboy)

- Tomas, Level 1 Cleric (Captain Tamamono)

- Thrain Longbeard, Level 1 Knight (Lego Pinocchio)

While we're here, we should discuss strategy. I'm thinking Clerics and Rangers in the Back Row, Barbarians and Knights in the Front. Not sure about Rogues, yet. Seeing as Jess doesn't have a ranged weapon, I'm thinking Front. Right now my order of action will be Knights first, so if they roll a Shield the party reaps the greatest possible benefit. Since we have two Knights, the healthier one should go first, so if he rolls a Shield he can also protect the weaker Knight. The Ranger will act third, so he can hopefully weaken the enemy from long range before the remaining melee classes move in. The Cleric will go last so he can decide who, if anyone, needs healing.

I'm not sure whether to have the Rogue or the Barbarian act fourth.

"Just remember that I'll have a poisoned blade for two battles, so anyone I hit will be weakened in every wave of fighting."

The victim loses 1 health each turn, though, not each attack, so it doesn't matter when you poison him during the order of actions as long as you do poison him.

"I'm fine with going fifth, if you want Tesni to go fourth," Jess said, looking down at her sword.

"Let's discuss strategy for multiple targets. It sounds like we'll be fighting quite a few things, so I think this is necessary."

We do want to try to hit every target, so we don't incur any extra losses of health. I think if we've already hit every target before the end of the turn, any remaining warriors should decide whether they have a good chance to kill the weakest target, otherwise they should attack the healthiest one.

Nyx glances over from her cushioned chair at Bartholomew Docken excitedly discussing tactics with Jess Islanti, and an expression of mild amusement flashes across her face.

You know, who knows what you're going to meet out there, and you'd have to do an awful lot of talking to cover every eventuality. I know the fates allow time for discussing strategy while you're on your quest, or even in the heat of battle. Don't get yourself too worked up about it, and chill out while you can.

She then turns back at her drink and delicately drops the cherry garnish from the top into her mouth.

Henry Sicariul for some reason happens to be in the Hall, although he was away for some time, although he never left and never came back (). He sees the mage Althior, who had had some problems with shopping, and approaches him.

"Hey, mage, there was something I wondered about: Why did you sell your potion if you didn't need the two gold so far? Wouldn't it be better to wait if you need it during your quest? Just asking."

Yes I agree with Jess, she should go fifth to finish off any targets at low health, and the barbarian should go fourth because she has the potential to deal a lot of damage.

And how long do you think we are going to have to wait for the rest of our team mates to arrive?

Point taken. We're just getting the basic down while we have nothing else to talk about.

"While Nyx is right about relaxing while we still can, I have to agree that keeping me in the back is the best idea. You wouldn't want your healer to die on you!"

"Just be careful of my backlash," Jess said to Tomas. "In the heat of battle, one usually doesn't notice if her sword swings to far backward!"

Tesni walked over to the newly gathered group. "Sorry, I was considering what I may need to buy before our quest. I am ready to do battle" She smiled, a hint of grim determination behind it.

Death woke up from a brief nap he had fallen into. He was still sitting at his empty table quietly, going unnoticed for a while now. Though he was happy to be able to settle down for once, rather than constantly running from his enemies.

Heroica Hall was bustling with the preparations of parties preparing to depart on their first quests. While it might have been easy to overlook any other new face showing up in these hallowed halls at this time, the slight tremor in the floor boards and the groaning of the door frame made everyone look up at the new arrival. Standing almost twice as tall as the tallest barbarians and with an expression twice as grumpy as the grumpiest dwarf in the room (even though there was only one ) an ogre bearing a gigantic long bow squeezed his way through the crowded hall and took a seat at the nearest bench that could support his weight.

With a heavy sigh the ogre took off his cap, mopped his brow and ordered a flagon of ale and a leg of mutton from the orc maid behind the bar. She looked familiar but he couldn't remember from where, no matter his memory wasn't what it used to be and he could investigate later. For now, all the ogre wished was to rest his weary bones and reflect upon the fact that he had finally stooped (both metaphorically and literally) to entering the hall that in his mind, had stood as a testament to oppression and tyranny all his life.
