Heroica RPG - Heroica Hall

IC: De'kra takes the time waiting for Quest 66 to end by focusing his energy. He departs from the hall, standing outside the road to the center of Heroica. Avoiding the paths, he began to experiment with his Diamond, seeing the limits. It seemed not that long ago he was too terrified of wielding elemental powers to become a Sorceror, now he was testing if they were as versatile as a Toa's might.

As De'kra focused on trying to create a hologram, the people of Eubric went about their days.

OOC: You guys can see him if you want, just be aware he doesn't have pockets.

Guts walks into the hall, and walks straight to the bar. He asks Scheherazade for a hot meal, and wine, and sits down moments later with a plate of unknown meat, some green vegetable Guts didn't know the name of, but liked anyway, and some bread (as well as a fine Charissian Red). The raider looks around the hall. Bunch of loud fools, destroying the hall's furniture, picking fights. It was pathetic. He could take on all the "heroes" present, with one arm tied behind his back, too. He could not be bothered to sign up for a quest, he didn't want to risk having to deal with hotheads and fools. Finally, he spotted someone with a normal disposition. Perhaps too normal, to be comfortable, but still. Not overly loud, but still clearly, the raider called:

"Docken, sit with me, if you will."

[Brickdoctor]

"Docken, sit with me, if you will."

"Ah, Master Holla, it's good to see you again. I was just speaking of heroes such as yourself, actually; there's a Black Knight here who for some reason seems to think he can deal Damage just as well as a Raider."

I take a seat at the bar next to the Raider.

Karie walks back into the hall and heads to her spot, back in the usual corner, but not before stopping by the bar.

"A bottle of Falana Wine, if you please."

She takes the bottle and the cup and walks back to her table in the corner. She pulls out her Heirloom Dagger and begins to fidget with it.

[Capt.JohnPaul]

Suddenly Alexandre appears stronger, but also seems more like an arrogant prick. ( ) "Monsieur Docken, of course I can! Je suis le most powerful knight here. Anyone who disagrees can challenge moi to a duel in the arena!"

"That's probably true right now, actually. The only other knight I've seen active has been kicking down doors and falling off staircases before running off to who-knows-where with a bucket of rum. I was not aware people stored rum in buckets.

"I did hear a rumor from the Copper Fox that you might be getting a buff soon in the newest edition of his training manuals. Congratulations!"

Alexandre smiles slyly. "Ah... yes. You are right. Haha, clever. Also, thank you. I'm much more confident now. Good for a party, yes?"

"Good, perhaps. The best fit, perhaps not. You still have the tendency to Hide or Dodge, and I saw something about your stealing loot before the rest of the party can get their hands on it. I expect you'll still need to earn the trust of your fellow heroes - especially in proving that you won't take all the loot - before you can truly say you're good for the party and before you and other Black Knights become in-demand when forming a party, but it's definitely an upgrade over what you could do before the buff."

[Capt.JohnPaul]

"Do not forget, the effectiveness and goodness may very well depend on the loot. If an enemy drops a Phoenix Essence, and the party doesn't have one, I can revive someone in the middle of a battle if I get my hands on it."

"That is an excellent point. But like I said, due to your Roguish background, you'd need to prove to the rest of the party your willingness to share the loot and use it that way."

Johon sees Karie walking away, and decides to stay and deal with Drake.

IC: De'kra continued to try to harness the power of holograms, waving his fingers in an attempt to create a image. Finally he took a rest, letting him build up his Mana. Then with renewed vigor he attempted a different ability of Toa of Light, manipulating lasers. With an even arm he focused his energy, letting it channel through the Diamond. Kapura outstretched in his opposite hand, he released.

OOC: That was a good episode of Transformers Prime. The action, the humor, and of course the new scenery. Its days like this that I feel justified in liking Miko.

"That is an excellent point. But like I said, due to your Roguish background, you'd need to prove to the rest of the party your willingness to share the loot and use it that way."

"Then I'll be glad to offer my services and prove I am trustworthy. I don't think it will be too much of a problem. I'm sure a lot of us here have roguish backgrounds more darker than me. I am an honorable knight after all.. ."

The raider shakes his head, annoyed, Docken brought someone else in the conversation.

"I don't know what you are talking about. Raider, Black Knight...? Anyway, there's something I wanted to ask you..."

Quietly, so others couldn't hear him, he said: "What do you think about the state of the hall, about the Houses?"

OoC: Actually Alexander presumably followed me, heard me mention Black Knights, and decided to join the conversation.

"I was away in the Fields for quite a while, so I haven't gotten the chance to go out on a quest for any of the Houses in a while. Conflict seems to be escalating, though, with members of the Houses getting killed and going missing. I heard there was a temple of Zoot found under the city, and just recently Lady Wren tried to do something with a court of demons and summoning the god of Chaos...

"The Town Watch doesn't trust us; the Wolfgang grow stronger. The Ziegfrieds lost the one prominent mage, I forget his name, who made a deal with a demon, and they lost Bluto to the Bog Witch Baba on a quest I went on. Seemingly omnipotent and immortal, she will be a threat if she comes to Eubric, of that I am certain. Hybros just came back from a quest to rescue one of the Ji Pei, and it sounds like that didn't go too well. I believe you went on a quest not too long ago to rescue one of the Bonapartes, right?"

[Scubacarrot]

Guts nodded:

"Yes.That succeeded, so at least that some good news. But you understand where I am going with this. Eubric is spinning out of control. Should something happen, there need to be people ready to get the city back on it's feet as quickly as possible... Docken, we've fought together, you know we make a good team. You'd be a valuable asset."

[Brickdoctor]

Guts nodded:

Should something happen, there need to be people ready to get the city back on it's feet as quickly as possible... Docken, we've fought together, you know we make a good team. "That is good to hear. The Bonapartes have protected this city for over two hundred years; it would be catastrophic if their family were to crumble now.

"I do believe I see your point. Heroica could and should be the force that is ready to keep the peace if the Houses fail, but some of us seem to be...distracted. Involved in battles on other continents, sitting around in the Hall consuming the free food and drinks. Many of our active heroes are inexperienced. I have faith in the Veterans' plans, but then I see a hero trying to pick a fight with a Cleric or jumping off a staircase and consuming rum in buckets.

"I am unsure if you are proposing some sort of team, but if the need arises, I will be ready. I'm sure the XP would be pretty good if we had to fight whatever managed to take down the Houses."

I laugh nervously.

"Alas, that these evil days should be ours. That we should live to see what could be the end of these Houses."

[xxlrocka]

Drake realised that the only way out of this was by mortal weakness. Preferably, the craziest and most idiotic weakness ever. As Johon slammed Drake against the tree, Drake smiled.

"You know, there's one easy way out of this that you seem to have forgotten. I don't know how you did, but it happened."

Drake kicked Johon in the megablocks.

"Come at me. In fact, let's take this to the arena. It's the best place to fight."

[Bricksandparts]

Drake was not fit for Hand to had combat, and though his attack did hurt, it had

. Johon picks up Drake and threw him so he was lying on the ground.

"Give up, you can't win this. You are no hero, why do you claim to be? You are a danger to the heroes around you!"

[Tachyon]

As Drake gets thrown to the ground, a flash happens and Mizuki appears. Before her, she sees a guy who presumbly has thrown Drake to the floor. She says to the guy, "I'm sorry for what he did to you but there is no way I'm letting you beat up my Nakama" before pointing her handcannon at him.

OOC:For the sake of roleplaying, I'm going to say that Mizuki has spiritual bonds with her Nakama and can detect where they are.

OoC: This event is taking place at Johon's home, so maybe you could talk to Karie, who was presently at the scene, or just think about it outside of the situation.

IC: De'kra watches as the focused beam of light flies out, piercing into a wall. Quickly he stops before it has a chance to phase through, satisfied with the result. A small indent lay in the stone, warm to the touch. The echo nodded, before testing the limits of this power on the ground.

OOC: I think part of the reason I like Miko is because she is so hated by fans, so I feel bad for her. Plus let's be honest, every transformers fan would react like her if they became friends with Cybertronians.

OOC: Mizuki knows where Drake is through spiritual bonds. Even if the scene is occuring several miles from Eubric, I've stated that Mizuki can travel at extremely high speeds during her class advancement in the training room. So by combining these two pieces of infomation, it is possible for Mizuki to travel to Johan's place in several minutes, if not seconds.
