"I am no ordinary Mage, you are right. I am but a Necromancer. He who masters the dead. I used to try and stay as far away from darkness as I could, but I realized how wrong I was, so I did more than accept it. I mastered it,"

Thalion's eyes widened a bit, "A Necromancer... I've never met a real necromancer before - the study of it was forbidden in the Academy, so we learned only the basics. I figure that darkness would be your primary element, right? How did you manage to find someone to teach you? And one more thing, what do you do with your... creations... when you are not on a quest?" He stood patiently waiting for an answer, trying to hide his interest in what Althior had to say.

Thalion twirled Twin Sai Blades and thought, (Weapons as fine as these deserve to have names... What were those foreign words, I've read about that time, for Truth and Justice... Ah yes, Veritas and Equitas! Those will do nicely...)

"Well, I have spent much time around Ziegfried Manor in my time here where I was able to pick up a few things about advanced magic, and Copper Fox is a master of many arts of combat. He is truly a unique individual. And my creations you ask? Well, I don't wish to keep those around too long. I let them pass on after every quest. Being undead has to be a terrible experience,"

"Remember Artramor? I have just met the man while we quested together. Removing a curse on some play." Tensi laughed briefly.

"I see, hopefully we're on the same page then!" Haldor chuckled, but soon his face hardened. "What did you think of him? He's an old - was an old friend of mine. Up until recently, he was a nice bloke to be around, but not too long after we came back from Wren he changed completely. He give you any of that "smiling's for weaklings" megablocks? How about "no point being happy 'cause you're going to die anyway"? Can't stand an attitude like that. If he wants to go through his life like that, it's fair enough - he can die on his own in some gutter somewhere knowing there ain't nobody that cares for him. But I'm sure as hell not letting him try any of that on me. If comes anywhere close, it'll be hard to keep myself from socking the sorry bastard."

Benji heard the nord speak his name. Getting up, he took a first aggressive step, but stopped when he heard the word werefolk. 'How could he know...' Benji thought, worried. Turning aside his negative feelings, he sits down by Haldor and smacks him on the back with a grin on his face. It was noticeable that his teeth were sharper than they probably should be. "A werefolk, don't be ridiculous. I'm just plain old half elf half man Benji Carvenhall. And who is this that you are you speaking with...?"

"This is Tesni, a more dependable girl I do not know. Glad to hear it, I've never been one to trust someone who shifts their form without choice. I'd have no way of knowing whether they'd be the same person each time they came back..."

"I see you too have some of them double daggers " Sarge flashes the demonic scissors " They'll be better than mine in no time. :laugh:Here's a little secret because I can see what you're thinking mate. Don't name 'em. :sadnew: They're weapons, objects. There're called knives not Ying and Yang or whatever. And don't think that a good name will do good work. I've seen a good many good men killed by 'Lightbringer' or 'Truth'. If you want to be a goody goody, do it in actions, not nouns"

"Eh, he was in the thrall of that rod, I knew slightly what to expect of it, Namyrra put it to use when we battled bandits in that Tower the Jei Pi sent us too. He was quiet, that thing makes you battle your mind." She shrugged, Tesni only paid heed to the magics of her own weapons though knowing well the influence some could hold. "He was grateful for the service in battle I rendered. We were all a little of kilter due to the curse. Forced us into roles and all that."

Tesni sipped her drink and spoke softly, "Though, Wren changed all she touched Haldor, no one was able to escape her, for better or worse."

"I've spent some time with the Ziegfrieds myslef, and picked up a thing or two, but I dont think I can safely assume I can control that kind of power yet... You are right, being undead really sounds as a dreadful experience... And you say Copper Fox trained you? That man sure has mastered a lot of talents... Still, when the time comes I wish for him to help me train as a Chi Monk, but the path of the Necromancer will remain my second choice. Tell me, having the power over death, can you communicate with the dead too?"

OOC: I will not reply to Sarge's comment IC as I really dont see how he can know what Thalion was thinking to himself (he wasn't thinking out loud).

"I've not tried it, but I believe it is within my powers. Any particular reason you ask?"

"No particular reason, I was just wandering what possibilities does mastery of death offer. So why did you chose that path and not some other? I am sure you had other options..."

"Well, there was this option and the option of Minstrel, and I don't have many musical talents, I'd say." He laughs, "That's more of Finnegan's thing, anyways. Plus I'd rather try sticking to my ethereal roots."

"I agree with you completely on both accounts: I like staying with my arcane training as well, but singing, that would hurt my companions more then the enemies!" Thalion adds laughing.

"I may try Minstrel at one point to see how it can actually harm anyone, but I never got the point."

“Althior? Is that you? You look.. different”

"William Harkenshire if I recall. How do you do?" Althior couldn't care less. But he had to have some manners.

“eh. Life is monotonous.”

"I can probably offer you a good reason for that. How long have you been sleeping there?"

Haldor turned his head slightly, confused.

"Wait... did I tell you I was talking about Atramor? By the gods, I need to sleep. No, I meant the mage Althior - he is the changed one. Everything I just said, that was about Althior. Poor old Gibbin, being lumped with the likes of him because I haven't slept in days." He laughs nervously, slightly disconcerted and ultimately worried that he is going insane.

Benji snorts at the nord "And you were thinking that I was acting weird earlier." He turns to Tesni "So, Ms. Tesni, as I said earlier my name is Carvenhall. Benji Carvenhall. And I must say, you look familiar. Have we met previously?"

"Mayhaps, I have spent some time in the hall but I don't recall taking a quest with you."

"I think it would be wise for you to take a proper sleep!" Tesni laughed. "The mage did change, then again he controls the dead since last I met him." she shrugged "Wren forces change on anyone, the strong willed improve themselves, the weaker compromise."

"Aye, true. I haven't really thought about sleeping much. Since Jess vanished, I haven't even been back to the inn, reckon my stuff's still all there. It's hard, you know, Tesni; having to move on. It's not like she died - I could remember her fondly if she did that - but no, she just... went. One day we were sharing a bed and much else... and then she's gone. Poof, disappeared. No note, no clues - nothing. It's a terrible thing to say, but I'd rather know she be dead or with another man than have this empty feeling inside. I want her to come home, I really do; but at the same time, I don't know. That fact that she left me while the lot of us were *this* close to destruction seems...wrong. Was it cowardice? Did she not want to be here 'case news came that I'd been killed? Was she just bored with me, and this life? I should hate her for it, but I don't. It certainly didn't seem like she was unhappy. The night before I left... she was 'enthusiastic' to say the least, if you catch my meaning. She made me think that she were going to wait behind all along, ready to surprise me and take me in like she used to..."

His face turned glassy for a brief moment, as he remembered past joys.

"I don't know, Tesni. I can't wait forever. I can hardly wait at all. This life seems so brief, that anything could change in the time I hope for her return. And besides, I've been asked to the theatre by a fine young lass only recently. The general idea I've been getting is that she means this as courtship - not the kind I'm used to, mind - and the day is arriving soon. Is it bad of me to move on so fast? You're a woman, Tesni, you are more versed in these feelings, what would you have me do? Do you think -" Haldor stopped as soon as he realised he'd been talking far too long. "You don't want to hear my problems, do you? It's fine, I can hardly expect you to listen to the woes of a weary nord. I need sleep, that's all. You have better things to do."

"As for Althior, his change would be well if he had ever crossed paths with Wren at all while she was at large. That's why I can't stand him. I went out, came back after saving the world; found out my girl had left me, and he tells me he was given a second chance, but would rather waste it calling people out for being good-natured. He did that, he did just that. I told him to lighten up - and he called me weak for it. That's why I'm running a new policy in these parts - don't try forcing your beliefs on anyone else or I'll be forced to kick your head in, it's simple. He can piss himself trying to inflict his misery on the rest of us, but I won't stand for it, I've got enough on my mind."

The nord had to breathe deeply, he was getting far too heated. It was a combination of various things, really, that made him feel this way. Whatever the causes, it was not a good place to be in.

Benji yawned, quickly covering his mouth with his hand so that his teeth would not be seen. He gets up from the table on which Haldor was whining around at and went to sit at an empty table on the other side of the bar. On the way there he picked up a drink and as he sat down he sipped it, thinking about werefolk. 'I wonder how they do it? Transforming sounds so interesting... I bet I will be able to accomplish it soon, if I keep trying...' he continues to sip his drink.

Benji looks at the wheezy sounding black clad knight and thinks to himself 'Great, another insane hero.' "Hello there. I do not believe that we have met, but I'm pretty sure that your name is Alexandre, correct?"
