Althior and Finnegan sit at the bar as Althior starts admiring his new upgraded staff. He drinks nothing, and sits for hours after returning from the market. Every voice in the room penetrates his mind. As Benji storms out of the bar with a gloved hand, there is no reaction from Althior. He continues to stare at his Scepter for hours until one comment catches his attention.

"I'm Sarge Mcency. The Knights of the round table is an order dedicated to taking down the wolfgang. A criminal group in this here city."

Althior turns around to face the older man. He laughs, mocking their little "organization". He speaks up, both infuriated and amused by them. "Really? You think you can take down the Wolfgang? A couple inexperienced knights? Ha! Even the veteran's themselves couldn't take down that organization if they tried. And who deems them as bad? They merely want a place in this city. And I could care less if they got it or not. But going to say that you need to take them down is along the lines of me forming a group and going to take out the Town Watch. It doesn't happen. And it will never happen. So, do yourselves a favor, and live a little while longer and do some good instead of trying to take them down. I don't care if it happens when you cross paths, but sitting here plotting to take them down does no good," Althior begins to turn back to the bar when he remembers Haldor having also been in the Wolfgang's favor. "Haldor, Friend! You agree with me, correct?" He begins to make his way towards the nord.

"I have a bad feeling about this..."

Finnegan leans over to the dwarf. "Don't worry, you'll warm up to him eventually. It's only taken me about a year and a half,"

Slaying dragons and armies, then getting mugged to death in an alleyway by a bunch of thugs, or picking up the easiest elf in Heroica before losing her to your unhinged apprentice?" remarked Atramor from a few tables away. He was in the middle of scrubbing the rat gore off the Pheles Rod, and getting thoroughly sick of the idiots that were arguing for what seemed to be hours on end.

"Of course, Atramor. I did those things, but they were in the past. I've learned from my mistakes and moved on. Of all people, I had assumed you would be one of the few to understand that,"

Atramor stared through Althior a moment before shaking his head, taking a sip of rum, and returning to cleaning his weapons.

"Just quit actin' like a megablock, let them figure out for themselves how things work. The hell do you care, anyway?"

"The hell do you care about this, Gibbin?" He turns back to the knights with no mocking tone in his voice but one of curiosity. "How exactly would you plan to take them down anyways? There's no possible way you could beat them head on even if you got all the knight's here with you, which is unlikely in itself. None of you have reputation with them to get in and stab them in the back." Althior chuckles a bit, "Now I'm curious! What is your plan? I'm just dying to know now..."

[CMP]

"Thought I'd take a stab at tryin' to deflate that massive ego of yours. S'pose that brief bout of drunkenness just ended..."

He flicked another kernel of corn across the table to McCafferey, slinging the now-spotless Pheles Rod across his back. But he'd have to get rid of most of these weapons and shield soon enough. Even with his newfound strength thanks to the weapon and its influence, wasn't worth lugging around so many unused blades.

Benji re-enters the hall, noting to himself that he'd need to fix the busted door. He briefly looks at the questboard. 'Those ones sounds promisingly violent enough' he thought as he signed up for Quest #74 and #75 (emphasizing his lust to kill on Quest 75). He doesn't do as much as glance towards the bar before he walks in the direction of the training room.

OOC: Benji didn't go up to the saloon, he went straight from the quest board to training hall But now he's returning, and I'll behave as if the question was directed towards him as soon as he got back.

Benji returns from the training room to the hall. He climbs up the stairs, looking quite different than before. He snaps at Heckz before sitting down at the bar, ordering a stiff drink. Hearing the black knight's question, he ignored it and started to drink his beverage.

Haldor downs Tesni's strong beer and is the midst of relaxing when an argument erupts in the hall.

Before you went away, you decided to give us all a handy lecture on how 'weak' we are for trying to make life better than how you've made if for yourself. No-one made you have this outlook on life. We all want to be happy folks doing happy things now and again. That ain't weakness, that's human nature. So, you got two choices here, 'mate'. Either you shake yourself out of whatever world you're living in, or you don't take one step closer to me without this axe going in your head."

He then notices Benji acting odd.

Alexandre left the Hall earlier, and he returns. He returns, smelling like he was underground in some sort of cave. He hears Althior ranting. "Hey, tais-toi! You monsieur, are an imbecile. Stop spreading your misery around. Maybe it would help if you stopped getting drunk and stopped sleeping with elves. We are more than a 'couple of inexperienced knights.' Sarge joined the contest in Charis, and used his skills to defeat the feared Fantome Croise and his henchmen. And then he saved a poor damsel from an insane kidnapper merchant. So did Brickington. Je defended the walls of the Lion Fort as Brobric elves stormed our position. I went to Dastan, and fought with, like, 3 others by ourselves for as long as we could hold out. I was the reinforcements for Luosh, and repelled the largest invasion known to man. I stopped that entire genocide with fellow heroes, a title you don't deserve to have. Ha, vous don't even think the Wolfgang are bad. They just want a place? Fool, they rob people and are corrupted, claiming that mugging people will somehow free the world of corruption from le Houses. They even try to poison people who have committed no crime. Your attitude infuriates moi! Your life sucks, now don't get angry at the rest of us because quests have 'changed your perspective' or some crap or because you found out an elvish harlot doesn't actually love you. She's a putain."

Tesni grew tired of the childish babbling and stood, a hand lightly caressing the pommel stone of Cysgodion. The amythest began to glow and the now familiar purple snaked around the berserker.

"I have returned from a quest. I want a quiet drink." She glared around the room as the purple magic filled her eyes and traced the scar on her face. "Many of you have quested with me and you know precisely what I can do." She smirked, "Though others, I am sure my reputation has been shared." facing the newblood she grinned like a fox who has found a rather dull rabbit. "As for you rookie, the nicest name I can give you there, sit down and shut it else you may find your first KO before your first quest."

Satisfied that she had made her point she sat back down and motioned for another beer.

"DITTO." Benji rumbled in agreement with Tesni.

Heckz noticed that Benji was fine. He got up from under the table and noticed Benji's new appearence That man should look at himself in the mirror before showing himself in public.

Jeaux turned his head as he heard a loud speech being delivered. Shouting wasn't quite the right word to describe it, more of an authoritative roar. As the female barbarian sat down, seemingly having made her point, he noticed Benji sitting nearby. He looked somewhat different, almost like a cross-breed of human and one of the large lizards they had encountered on Nova Tertia. Jeaux was curious what might have brought about this change, it isn't every day that someone who was once human finds themselves as something else...

He headed in Benji's direction, asking him once he was near, "You appear somewhat different since I last saw you, may I ask what caused your transmogrification?"
