Emjajoas Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Em simply nods in reply, crossing his arms. Scuffle with the floorboards? Em would've dismissed it, but for some reason, he felt the man was telling the truth. He, too, had seen things he didn't believe since coming to the Hall. Home, though? An interesting concept. Was this home for Em now, as well? Would this be his new home? "The Homeland?" Em asks after a brief silence. Quote
The Legonater Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Duplovia. The Walled City. The City of Seven Hills. 'Used to be in the royal guard. I assure there's a long and tragic story behind that and how I got here, but it grows tiring in the telling. Besides, if you really want to know, I'm sure if you ask around, someone will be able to tell you. It's largely in the past, but... I'll never forget the beauty of the place. I heard there was a quest that went there a short while back, perhaps you went? Quote
Emjajoas Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 "No, I've never been to Duplovia," Em replies. "Heard good things about it. Might go someday. I agree also that the past is largely that... Passed." Quote
The Legonater Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 It's a good philosophy. It's one that took me a little while to learn, but a good one nonetheless. So tell me about yourself, Em. You seem an interesting fellow. Quote
Scorpiox Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Good game, Haldor. It appears I fail at cards as well as science. Perhaps next time. For now, duty appears to always be calling. I walk over to the quest board, and examine the new quests. I look over, and see a ranger clad in green I have not met before doing same. Haldor smiles and downs the last of his ale. "Aye, see you around, mate." Quote
Emjajoas Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 "I'm afraid there isn't anything interesting I could say," Em replies. Tell him about myself? Where do I begin? Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 (edited) Elgar walked into the hall again and checked the quest board "So Abbot needs help again." Elgar signs up for quest 78 Edited July 26, 2013 by Jedi master Brick Quote
Kintobor Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 (edited) Karie stumbles back into the hall, looking less into the going on's of the hall than she usually was. She makes her way up to the bar and sits at her table, then quickly falls back asleep. Edited July 26, 2013 by Kintobor Quote
Endgame Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I get up, trying to blot out the sound of my own skeleton creaking, and sign my name under Quest 78. I see Karie return - and promptly fall back asleep - and decide talking to her anymore probably wasn't for the best. Quote
Kintobor Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Karie stirs from her slumber and heads for the quest board, half asleep. She signs her name under the sign ups for Quest 79, not really paying attention to what she's doing. She then heads back up to her table and falls back asleep. -------- The doors creak open as a familiar face step into the hall, his cane wrapped underneath his arm as he approaches the quest board. "Well, well, it appears I may have to make some tough choices to make here. And who signed up for a quest that appears to have already left? Mr. Gligin it appears! No matter, we'll throw his name in here too." He jots some things down in his notebook, and then makes his way to the door, leaving the hall. CURRENT SIGN UPS FOR QUEST # 78 Sorrow, Level 23 Assassin (Endgame) Elgar Gligin, Level 22 2/3 Druid Grimwald Gjinko, Level 11 Cleric "Em", Level 13 Ranger Louis Argenshire, Level 1 Knight OOC: Welcome to Heroica Captain Settle! You can sign up for more than one quest, and my recommendation to you is to sign up for Quest #79 as well, just in case you don't get on Quest #78. Quote
The Legonater Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 "I'm afraid there isn't anything interesting I could say," Em replies. Tell him about myself? Where do I begin? Well, I doubt that. Everyone has something interesting about themselves. For example, I once decapitated a Pongcanis Chief. Plenty interesting! Quote
Bricksandparts Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 OoC: After the arena battle Johon and Louis walk back to the hall and depart. Johon walks to the quest board and sees the 2 new quests. He decides to sign up for quest 79, leaving the other quest for the less experienced heroes. He notices Karie on the list and hopes that they would both be selected for the quest. He wanted to try and get to know her better. Hopefully he could help her out with her struggle. Quote
Emjajoas Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 "A Pongcanis Chief?" Em queries, raising an eyebrow at Dyric. "Jesting aside, I don't know what you want me to tell you. I've nought that you may find interesting, nor anything you would find worthwhile to listen to." Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Romulus walks across the hall, in human form, and sits down near Johon. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 OoC: What does Romulus look like in human form? I don't recall ever seeing a photo... "Hello Romulus, how has questing been treating you lately? I see you've also signed up for quest 79, hopefully we can get on the quest together." Quote
Scorpiox Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Haldor ran his fingers through the soft silk of his scarlet hood, memories filling his head as the nord leant back in quiet thought. There was a name there, not a particularly bold or profound one, but a name nonetheless. Haldor scarcely mentioned her, but whenever he did so, the tough-looking man always felt a sharp pang of sorrow in the corner of his heart. His lips formed the word, and a single small tear ran down his face into his beard. "Gerdur..." But this wasn't who they thought he was. Haldor had to keep up appearances, lest his older, weaker side come through again like it nearly did while fighting Wren. He couldn't let that happen. The people of this organisation and its clients expected a certain type of person, and Haldor had to try and keep them all thinking that he was that person. So far, the Grey Wizard had been the only one to see beneath his half-lie, and things would stay that way. The nord wiped the lone tear away and stood slowly up, soon making his way to the questboard for a chance at trying something new. "What's this? Saving some Abbot's brother? That sounds alright - not too complicated and I might have half some luck at doing good." Haldor signs up for Quest #78. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 OOC: I'm trying to get a picture, but my camera is still broken. "Questing has been easy, killing a few Wolfgang, protecting a cart, the basics really. What about you?" Quote
posades Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Xander slowly makes his way into the Hall, refreshed after a brief sabbatical in the woods. Walking towards the sign-up board, he pencils his name under Quest #78, and pulls out a slightly crinkled piece of paper to tack to the board: "FOR SALE: 1 Lv.-Up Shroom 1 Medal of Glory Please contact Xander Un'thor privately with any offers/details." Just as quietly as he had entered, he left the building; it was more peaceful outside, he thought to himself... Quote
Bricksandparts Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Johon nods, listening to Romulus. He notices a piece of parchment posted and walks over to read it. After reading it over, Johon approaches Xander shortly after he leaves the hall. "I see you are selling some items, I would perhaps be interested in buying either of them. What price did you have in mind?" Quote
posades Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Xander glances over his shoulder, seeing a rather burly man shouting his way. "I did not catch your name, but I am indeed selling some items. If you would, I rather have all transactions done through writing, so send me a private message and we can talk details." Quote
The Legonater Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 "A Pongcanis Chief?" Em queries, raising an eyebrow at Dyric. "Jesting aside, I don't know what you want me to tell you. I've nought that you may find interesting, nor anything you would find worthwhile to listen to." Let's start with what you've done in Heroica so far. I mean, surely you've done something while you've been here, right? Quote
Emjajoas Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Em shifts uncomfortably. "Had to return order to a cemetary once and deal with a Stealer of Senses twice," he replies. "So no, I haven't really done much." Quote
xxlrocka Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Drake walks back in the hall with a slightly torn and terribly folded piece of paper in hand. He shakily scribbles his name under Quest #78 before unfolding the piece of paper. He read it. It said: I'm here at last! My journey was a blast. Now to make dinner for two. I must really say, That you must be tired after this day, And as a reward, my guest shall be you. Drake looked nervous. "I'm here at last..." Drake muttered before tearing the piece of paper in two. It was of no more use. Quote
