Erdathcath looks up, smiling to see an age-old friend. "Greetings Benji! it has indeed been a long time, and though we never quested together, I do remember you from ages ago, how has Questing been for you?"

Sarge looks up at the familiar face. "Hey Erdy. Aint seen yer in a long long time."

[Pandora]

Tesni shrugged and grinned. "200 gold it is then." She handed over the dress. "Hope it is useful."

Nyx grins widely back, taking the Phoenix Dress from Tesni and handing her 200 gold. She admires the material, looking at the details, still grinning, before pulling Tesni into a sudden and forceful hug.

"Thanks Tesni, I hope you put the gold to good use too!"

To celebrate, Nyx shoves her Doomshroom into her mouth (Ether +1 permanently), munching happily, and drinks some more of her Flaming Gumball.

Guts looked closely at the table he was sitting on. This was not his usual table, and something had catched his eye. A bloodstain, not fresh. Multiple sources, it seemed, not all of the same kind. A while back, some kind of bloodbath must have taken place here. Guts sighed, and considered what to do. One of these days, he'd have to make his moves. The stronger he was at that point, the better it'd be. But the enemy would not stay still either... A tough choice. One of many to come, no doubt. Hybros half-joked about him becoming king, and the raider himself was not even sure if it was something to go after, but after all, it was clear that something had to be done, and it might as well be him.

Still pondering the pro's and con's of a potential coup, Guts took a seat next to Nyx.

"Nyx, who are loyal to? Heroica, or the one that will get you the most power?"

[Flare]

"It has made me stronger in the ways of battle and more powerful than I could've imagined. I have endured failures bur have risen above them."

Benji looks at Erdy disdainfully but laughs lightly, "It looks like you just woke up from a year long hibernation. Is that dust on your hair? Haha just fooling, of course."

Atramor sipped his drink deeply, leaning back in his chair and tilting his ear towards Nyx and Guts slightly, more than a bit curious to an answer.

"It has made me stronger in the ways of battle and more powerful than I could've imagined. I have endured failures bur have risen above them."

Benji looks at Erdy disdainfully but laughs lightly, "It looks like you just woke up from a year long hibernation. Is that dust on your hair? Haha just fooling, of course."

"Actually, it may just be some dust, after all, I am part wood/part human, so I am not as sensitive to feeling in my hair, and may have simply never noticed it, as for sleeping, that is one thing I have not done in a long while, I left the hall many moons ago to return to my people in hope of restoring my previous place in the kingdom, but alas, after many months of negotiations and work, my kingdom rejected me, and thusly, I have returned in hopes of gaining honor again in Heroica."

Atramor frowned a bit, leaning back some more, sniffing the air a little before turning his head even further. Benji was conversing with what at a glance he assumed was some sort of decorative plant. But what got him was the smell. It was vaguely familiar, and potent in more ways than one.

" 'Scuse me, ya' wouldn't happen any mushrooms on you, would ya'? Er, figuratively, I hope?" he added, with a raised eyebrow, to the strange druid.

"Actually, now that you mention it, I do have a level-up mushroom, seeing as how I have not much use for it, I would be willing to part with it for 262 Gold, which it seems you have?" Erdathcath pulls out the mushroom to display it to the Witch.

Atramor blinked, shrugged, and tossed the druid his entire pouch of 262 coins. "Aye, that sounds fine...I've actually come across a few in my life, they're s'post to be good. Real good."

[Pandora]

"Nyx, who are loyal to? Heroica, or the one that will get you the most power?"

Nyx looks long and hard at the Raider, eyes ever so slightly narrowed, searching, and the whisper of a smile appears - that she seems to try to quell.

"I'm loyal to myself. Always have been." she states simply "Loyal to my beliefs." she looks away, the small smile appearing, a dreamy expression. She seems to catch herself. "Surely I can aid Heroica better if I am more powerful?"

[Scubacarrot]

"What I take from that is that you think you can achieve the most power by working alone. On your own terms, answering to no one. Let me... propose something to you. I am Guts Holla. The Raider. The Captain. Guts Holla is not my true name, nor do I need to use that, or another of the dozens of names I have. What you need to know is I am the strongest person on the island right now. If you are looking for a fight, you will not find an opponent that can outshine me. Thirty five years ago I had less than any idiot in the hovels could begin to imagine. Ten years after, I owned an empire. After that, it took the power of a temple and the strongest magicks you have witnessed to stop my heart, but I rose again and am here, able to take on any hero in this hall and walk out unscratched. I am offering you an opportunity. Join me, and I will make you stronger than you can imagine, and give you all the power you long for."

Atramor looked sideways at Guts after he'd made his offer to Nyx, raising an eyebrow.

"Those are some damn big words, mate."

[Scubacarrot]

"It's rude to listen in on things that do not concern you, Gibbin." The raider stated it coldly, but there was no hostility in the statement.

Atramor shrugged, turning back to his drink and taking yet another sip.

Nyx looks at Guts, still smiling, but a distance in her eyes.

"Those are just words. I could tell you that I am a fallen goddess and have wrought destruction you couldn't ever dream of, but saying it wouldn't make it true." she looks away "I like your company, your directness, though. I see no reason not to assist you if you assist me, but who knows what my own potential will be? I am not so old as you, I have lived but a few years. What could I do in thirty five years?" the question seemed to be as much to herself as to anyone else.

"Perhaps we have common interests. I'm willing to find out." and another sweet smile.

Tesni chuckled, at least someone liked fancy dresses. With 200 more gold and what she had been saving besides, she'd be able to upgrade some weapons in the marketplace.

"I'll take it. You should fight by my side more. You might just change your mind about me."

The raider let out an emotionless chuckle. He had Dyric, Docken, probably Hybros, Nyx and probably others that folllowed him and the previously mentioned. He could go far with that group.

"What do you say Atramor, care to join the winning side, like you do?"

[CMP]

"If the drinks are free, there's gold to be made, and the goals are decent enough, I'd side with a drunken troll. Ya' can drop the crap about unlimited power, though. That's a song and dance I've heard more times than ya' might think. Never delivers."

[Scubacarrot]

"Any amount of power is reachable. If you want. I personally am okay with just enough, and I have got enough to do all of that. Wrap it in less fancy words, and I'd tell you I can beat the crap out of your or anyone's megablocks whenever I want, wherever you want.. But... it's all possible to do some incredible stuff. Even things you wouldn't hold normally possible." The raider took out the spare Opal he had stashed away, and grabbed a glass of water. The raider held the gem in one hand, the glass in the other, and closed his eyes. Moments passed, and when Guts opened his eyes, he held a glass of solid ice in his left hand. Tossing it away, almost disgusted, the raider mumbled. "Anyone can learn anything, just got to put your mind to it."

The raider grinned at his own foolishness. Him. Using magic. The raider's grin got wider as he noticed a small drop of blood was coming out of his nose.

Atramor watched the ice and glass skid across the floor, both cracking loudly, before looking back up at the raider. "I can believe that. Just don't turn power into a business. I've seen some idiots try and blur the line between mortal and god. No matter who the hell you are, that doesn't end well." McCafferey's eyes slid between both rogues idly even as she ate.

Nyx watches Guts's party trick with amusement.

"The thing is, I can do that with an ocean without even feeling a tingle. Maybe a shiver, but I just don't like the cold. And it takes far less effort to learn to beat the snot out of someone with a big stick, as I have already learnt. Don't underestimate my opinion of you. Well, not too much, anyway, but also, do not underestimate me."

[The Legonater]

"Dyric Rone. I assume you're holding up alright?"

No worse than usual. You?

Meanwhile I watch the conversation with interest.
