Haldor decides to talk to Jess

"Hello, Miss Isanti, mind if I sit with you?" :sweet:

Haldor orders Jess and himself a drink

Jess was awoken from her slumber by a big Norse man.

"'Lo," Jess said sleepily. Jess accepted the drink that was offered to her with a flash of gratitude.

"Thank'e. I need a good drink to wake me up," Jess said, draining her drink in a few large gulps.

Feeling refreshed, Jess asked with a smile, "who might you be?"

Jess sat for a while, but noticed that the Norseman had left. Frowning, Jess decided to go to the Library.

Haldor returned from whatever was so urgent.

"My name is Haldor Skovgaard and I come from the mountains far away. I can tell you my tale if you wish but it is rather long. I have seen very few elves before and I must confess I am a bit of a, what is the word?, fanatic of yours :sweet: . I have heard stories of your great strength, skill and wisdom, and also *Haldor says a world in Norse that he obviously doesn't want people to understand*. *Haldor's weathered face turns red  * So, what was your home like."

"Aye, it amazes me how many of the rogues around here act more like well to do knights and such, but ah well perhaps tis all for the best. If I don't want people yellin' monster every time I walk through the door then I guess the least I can do is accept a noble rouge once in a while," Skrall waved the barmaid over and ordered a leg of mutton. "So my good chap how came you by such a stout weapon as that there hammer? And what realm was it ya say ya hailed from?"

"My hammer...." Xander paused for a moment. "The hammer is a symbol of my tribe. Every young warrior must make his own: gathering the materials, binding them together and testing your bond with the weapon. The hammer is an extension of our body; it can settle disputes, but it can also rebuild. Although the hammer may change, the spirit of the original lives on."

"As for my origin, I hail from a Southeastern tribe near the foothills of the Mountains of Nathuz. Drandora is the closest settlement; we prefer to remain nomadic, however, roaming the forests and plains beyond the outskirts of town."

"mmrsm Oh..people." Tesni woke up again, sleeping on the table was not comfortable. "Another norse man? Pleased to meet you, I am Tesni." She stretched out and slipped a plate off the servers tray.

De'Kra walked into the massive hall. The taxing light of the sun was lessened here, and he could relax. The light of day seemed almost to pain him, though he seemed neither stronger nor weaker in the dark. His face was obscured by shadow, a dark mist that only his fiery eyes could pierce. The shade walked away from the hall, and approached the list of quests. The enity signed up for both Quests 4 and 5, before retreating to a dark corner of the hall.

Jess returned to the bar, just in time for the Norseman to pick up on their conversation.

Jess smiled broadly. "Good to know that I still have fans among the male population." Jess took a swig of her drink, and turned back to Haldor.

"A fanatic, eh? As long as you don't stalk me in my sleep, I'm fine with that," Jess said jokingly.

"My home? Well, my home was a forest. I lived there with my mother, father, and brother. We were part of a large village of elves, of which my father was, how you humans say, a governor? He was head of that our village, anyways. He tried to teach me to be noble and just, like a knight, but I decided to leave the nobleness to my brother, Rolf."

After hearing Xander's story Skrall noted "Yes, there's nothing like battlin' with a weapon ya made with yar own two hands."

Turning to his compatriot En Sabeh Nur, "You know friend I think I've got it figured out. I'm in need of some supplies so I could offer to buy off of you that bedroll of yours for, shall we say 10 gold and then you could trade your old blade in at the armorer's for a price of 15 gold and poof, there you are with 30 gold, just enough to get that there wolf toothed sticker." Skrall may have been no use at reading but he did have a way with numbers after his many years of separating people from there surplus.

Aware that following the Barbarian woman around like a puppy would not look too good to his fellow would-be Adventurers, Tarn left the table Tesni was sleeping at and joined the huge Ogre and the others at another table.

"Hail Adventurers!" he said with a grin, signalling the Orcish server for a round of beers.

Skrall looked up as the barbarian with the pole-axe approached the group at his table. "Hail to you as well, my good sir and I thank ya for the refreshments." Skrall adjusted his bow strap on his back to let the barbarian squeeze by. "I don't think we've had the pleasure of meeting yet. The name's Skrall," the ogre doffed his cap and replaced it on his head. "I'm a bowman by training but I enjoy a man who can lift his own metal. What brings ya to these here parts?"

Tarn gazed up and up at the imposing Ogre, who could barely fit on the Hall's chair.

"My name is Tarn Valco, the last is an honorific given by the clerics who took me in. Their clan name, if you will. I was taught fighting skills by them and have wielded a pole-axe since I was very young. It has not been named yet, once I have been on a successful Quest it will have earnt a name.

That is why I am here. I have come of age and completed my training given by the monks of Valco. I now aim to make my way as a fierce Adventurer and Warrior and to quest alongside good people such as yourself."

Tarn raised his tankard in a toast.

"To the Quest!"

OOC: For those unaware, after my recent quest, I have decided that I prefer Knights and changed my character. (No more cow shooting. :cry_sad: )

The bar doors come open, the rattling of metal follows. I man walks in, wearing a Morion Helmet and plate armor, with his colors on his under-surcoat - Orange and Black. His metallic buckler is on his back, and his right hand near the hilt of his curved sword.

Sitting across the room, is a crossbowman in a cape, messing around and obviously not liked, as he accidentally shot a cow. The crossbowman gets up and eyes this new conquistador. The purple clad crossbowman, realized he was caught- in "having fun" terrorizing other adventurers. The knight stares, when Bacari stands up and issues a challenge, by shooting past the knight. The conquistador dashes forward, sword drawn, and slashes to the right, knocking the crossbow to the ground, and then does a left crossing backhand. Though since the curved sword is only serrated on one end, it merely hurts Bacari as it hits his jaw. As the man falls to the wooden floor, a massive overhand cut falls on the man's chest. It makes a large gash in the crossbowman's leather armor. 3 hits in 1 second! Bacari manages to get back up and grabs his crossbow, though another swing came around, cutting Bacari's arm, then a jab again. Bacari bleeds more, and runs out the bar, cradling his arm.

"I think you won't be seeing him again." declares the orange and black conquistador. "I'm Alex, the Chevalier by the way..."

He takes a seat on a stool, at the bar of the bar. (?)

"One more thing." The conquistador finds some dropped things on the floor, out of Bacari's pocket, 2 gold and a Sapphire gem. He gives it to the nearest person, Nyx the Mage/Pandora. Congrats, it's yours.

Bacari is no more, or so it seems......

That would be fine with me; I'll even drop the price to 25 Gold so you can buy that bedroll off him at a fair price. (which is a profit of 10 Gold for me compared to what I would get selling at the Marketplace, a savings of 15 Gold for the buyer compared to what one would pay at the Marketplace, and a fair price for you) Though the Hall is a bit crowded and people are speaking all the time, so please talk to me in the Marketplace if you're interested.

This time Tesni awoke on the floor.

It certainly was not wise to sleep in a bar, 'What would the priestess say?' Tesni thought, a little embarassed, 'But, it was a tough quest full of puzzles and battles.' She picked herself up and looked around the hall. Her friends and questmates where present but it seemed that some were still away on thier own quests.

"Please, someone remind me that the inn is a better place to sleep!" Tesni joked, selecting a tankard of small beer to wash the sleep taste from her mouth.

Alex's knightly code to help others kicked in. He stretches out his hand to help the barbarian off the floor.

"The inn's a better place to sleep."

"Thank you sir knight" Tesni was glad that her quest had swept the last of her unsurity around Knights away, unless of course she ever saw that crest from her remembering...

"You are a new face here yes? Have you come from far?"

"Oh, I know that propblem. I haven't left the Hall for a week, propably", Henry tells Tesni. "I should get back to my home sometime. My poor flowers, they will be dead by now. :cry_sad: So you see, I'm no good at making people leave. Unless they are defenceless and rich, of course. That sort always leaves when I'm around."

"You are a new face here yes? Have you come from far?"

Not far, I come from a peninsula. I owned a castle, I found one on a hill in ruins, I lived there for a bit. It had bats and cobwebs, so it was really old, so I came here to tell tales of adventure and honor my code to help others.

And after that, I was Corporal Commader of the 23rd regiment of lancers in the army of some local baron.

"I see, the cave I lived in was too high for the bats, might have also been the Eagles that nested around and about. Flying rodent, ground rodent, they were all the same to the large birds." Tesni grabbed another plate from the servers, it must be a busy job to feed all the heroes and she was glad it was all free!

That must be a high cave... :oh: oh, I forgot, there is still 150 gold I didn't give away from the quest Bacari took.... so there's gold on the floor!!!! Who ever posts: "Jumps on the 150 gold." gets to keep it.

Haldor jumps on the 150 Gold, exept it is not there because you can't loot people in chat fights, so the 150 gold belongs to Bacari still.

"That is why we were called Hightribe! Great hights breed strong lungs and build strong bodies!" Tesni noticed the gold on the floor, but it would be unseemly, besides she had her own gold from the quest and a dagger to go sell. She watched amused to see who would scrabble about.

Henry jumps on the 150 Gold? If you don't mind.

Congratulations, Henry! You won 150 gold!

Scorpiox, actually it was just a fun/storyline way of getting rid of Bacari, and Bacari dropped his gold.

EDIT: OOC:Brickdoctor, actually, Nyx got 2 gold and a gem. It's only fair to give to others.
