Purpearl suddenly springs back into reality and Nicole is still standing right in front of her.

"Oh... Hi... Nice to meet you, Nicole. Are you from out of town? Your outfit looks really special, especially that device that hangs in front of your eyes." as Purpearl tries to make up for that embarrassing silence.

Nicole doesn't really seem to notice Purpearl's odd behaviour. She simple continues to speak under her breath, adding the sides of triangles and other shapes.

"No, I was born and raised in this city. I live down by the dock area, and often contemplate why, since I detest fish. My outfit is made from a compound mixture of leather and vinyl called linyl, and to say the least it gets me more attention than I want eighty two point seven percent of the time. As for these," she removes her glasses, looking them over, "these are a standard pair of glasses. Their common enough to assume you haven't been around the city, or civilization, for very long.

I'm sorry, am I losing you?"

Alexis mopes over to the quest board and sees that she wasn't chosen to help in the marketplace. So she puts her name down for Quests #88, #89, #90, #91. Then gets a drink and resumes contemplating her life.

Benji walks into the hall, and sees his cousin. He goes and sits besides Alexis with a smirk on his face. "Well there, cousin, found the answer of life yet? Or are you still enjoying selling your soul to the devil?"

"Right, I think I remember seeing you and Tarn right after you got back. Congratulations again, heheh..." There was no malice in his voice, but Hybros still looked at the ground as he said it. "It seems that you are well rested now. This business in Baltorak... have you ever been there before?"

"No, not even heard of the place until now!" She grinned and patted the weapon straps. "Though being a sellsword barbarian I thought they would appreciate my contribution to the cause."

"So, tell me, what have you been up to since Xu?"

She looks at her list, noticing the lack of people, looking indifferent.

Alexandre Signs up for 88, 89, and 90!

Alexandre walks back into the Hall. He could not continue his quest. How did he lose the party? Did they got lost in the woods too? Hopefully they didn't get eaten by wolves. Luckily Alexandre managed to escape and get back to Freeport. He looks around to see if anyone he knew was there.

Arx leaves his perch on Thormanil's shoulder and flies to Benji's side.

<Benji, is it? Yes, he has given me the name Arx. I've taken rather fondly to it. I think he's said it means something like "Shield" in his tongue. I see myself as more of a sword, but it's a start: at least it involves combat! I can't wait to prove to him that I can hold my own. He seems to want to hide me behind his shield, like I'm some kind of runt of a hatchling! Can you believe that?>

Tesni lifted the Qilin Blade, "The sword has to be an extension of you in battle else you risk damage to yourself and allies, or to lose the weapon when it is unhelpful." She smiled, "You get the heft and balance from handling them."

A tiny figure pushes through the door into Heroica Hall and uncertainly jumps into a chair much too big for him. He pushes back a peasant hood and a gnomish face appears. The gnome leans a poorly-made crossbow against the chair, accidentally loosing a crooked bolt into the floor in the process.

*Thwump*

The gnome looks around sheepishly at the heroes' glares and apologizes in a voice much too bass for such a small frame.

"Peace to you all; I'm questing to join Heroica. Is this the right place?"

"My name is Matthias... most call me Math. I was born and raised outside Eastgate in Drandora. There's a guild of gnomish barbers there that my family has been in for generations, but hair just wasn't for me."

Thinking of hair, the gnome shudders.
