Peppermint_M Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Finishing her shopping at the marketplace, Tesni entered the hall, the upgraded Cryfder in her hand. Taking a bowl of food from the serving window, she sought out her friends and allies. Quote
Tanma Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 De'kra turned away, and retreated back into the unlit regions of the hall. As darkness engulfed him the shade relaxed, glad to be further away from the accursed light. There was a memory of light, the first and for a while only memory he had, beside the languages in his mind. Every since the shade woke up on the shore, the light had pained him. But why, what was this memory of light? It didn't harm him physically, he was as strong in the light as in the shadows; so why the pain? Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 New sword much better than old sword. Cronk happy that old sword not family heirloom or anything so Cronk not feel bad selling sword. Funny story, Cronk find old sword in Graveyard while bashing evil. Sword stuck in stone and Cronk pull out and bash evil with sword. People started call Cronk a king but Cronk not want to be king. So Cronk said some scrawny kid did it. People make scrawny kid king and let Cronk go. Cronk hear scrawny kid turn out be good king. Scarecrow sound really evil, friend Ranger Docken. Cronk hope Ranger Docken bashed scarecrow real good. Khorne Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 After upgrading Godricsleif at the marketplace, Eric stepped in the Heroica Hall once more. It had been a while, but he still recognized many of the faces there. He immediatly made his way upstairs and ordered some food. He was starving after Questing for such a long time. Once he received his food, he went to sit at Boomingham's table, recognizing his fellow party member. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 "You were there?! I was under the impression that you were only 20 years old! That battle took place well over 250 years ago! Perhaps Elves do not age the same way as humans, or perhaps you too had an unfriendly mage freeze you in time, but I think you may be confusing it with a more recent Battle of the Field. Then again, I may be ignorant to what you mean!" Alex finnaly gets to reply. Well, one- elves do age slower. But savage orc tribes still raid through the forest, and as an elf soldier, I dealt with there attacks. This battle, what so happened to be in a field, was a big attack. It was a coalition of about 5 tribes. And all the elf groups in the area attacked. I brought my friends there, I was part of one of the elf groups, but I became a soldier for a local baron on the other side of a nearby mountain. After hearing of the invasion, the baron granted me rights to help my tribe and leave. That is when I get to start on more adventures, as I left the army. So yes, there was a recent one, many recent ones at that. Alex glances at the new person sitting at the table as Bomingham and Alex finished talking. It was a barbarian. I heard someone say "Eric," is that you? I am new here. Quote
Tanma Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 De'kra glanced over at the lists of quests from his unlit region of the room. Though his writing was lacking, as was his speech, he could read the text of this land fairly well. At the moment he hoped he would be chosen for Quest 4: Taming the Lions. Getting a stronger weapon would be nice, but more importantly the other mission requires stilled fighters. De'kra knew he was not skilled enough for that mission, though the cave would shield him from the light. But in the end, the cave sounds hadn't harmed anyone, they just were noisy. The foes in Quest 4 however might be stealing supplies, which would be a real problem. Quote
Masked Builder Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 After having left the bar sometime in the night, she walks back in and gets some breakfast, and sits down at a table to enjoy it. The hall seems kind of empty she notices. "Hopefully more heroes will come in later today," she thinks to herself. Quote

Flare Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Benji also signs up for Quest #7: The Arena, in case he does get selected for the other one that he signed up for. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 So many new quests now Cronk will have to decide which ones Cronk might be suited for. Hmmm. All look like good adventures. Quote
Tanma Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 De'kra notices that two new quests have been added to the board, numbers 6 and 7 respectively. The shade glances at their descriptions, before turning away. Rogues would not be permitted in Quest 6, so that was not an option. The other seemed a little suspicious to De'kra, especially it's title. Not to mention having to give up your trusted tools for untested weaponry. It sounded like it might be bloodsport, besides; it required skilled fighters. De'kra was level one, he won't last. No, this rogue would stick to Quests 4 and 5, although he would probably and preferably to get Quest 4, since he was not a skilled combatant. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Scarecrow sound really evil, friend Ranger Docken. Cronk hope Ranger Docken bashed scarecrow real good. That I did. I Tripleshotted him for 21 damage, albiet one turn too late. I'll sign up for Quests 6 and 7 Quote
Masked Builder Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Would you look at that! There are two more quests. Alexis notices. She walks over to the board and decides to put her name down for Quest #6. "I'm not sure if I want to give up my longbow." She says to no one in-particular. Quote
Khorne Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Alex glances at the new person sitting at the table as Bomingham and Alex finished talking. It was a barbarian. I heard someone say "Eric," is that you? I am new here. "Ja, that would be me." Eric replied, seemingly uninterested. His point of interest was no longer on his food, nor the new Adventurer sitting at the same table, rather Eric heard talk of new Quests being available. The tall Nord rose up, towering high above the seated Alex. "If you'll excuse me, apparently I have business to attend to." he said and headed downstairs, towards the Quest board. Eric read the new assignments carefully. Each one of them seemed interesting, but his past dealings obviously made it impossible to sign up for Quest #4. He decided to put his name on the list for Quest #6: WANTED! Donny Dozenhands and Quest #7: The Arena. They seemed to be the most interesting and fun ones. How could chasing a thief or some heavy fighting, maybe even in an arena, not be fun? Quote
Jebediahs Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 En Sabah Nur studied the guard captain's request. Hmm, the title of "Thief-Catcher" would damage my reputation among the social circles I associate with. However, I am attempting to find more virtuous company. Nur signed his name to Quest #6: WANTED! Donny Dozenhands. En Sabah Nur raised an eyebrow at Draco's quest. No magic users ,eh? I'd be interested to see how I'd fair without using magic. Nur scanned the room, noticing many eager and capable non-magic wielders. No...I think I'll stick to the mystic arts. En Sabah Nur grinned. Quote
Scorpiox Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Haldor looks into Heroica hall and nervously enters as though purposely looking for someone, after he sees they are not in the hall he sits down on his own. He orders some water as he wants to keep his head clear. He wait s to see if the person is coming, but doesn't ask around for fear of making a fool of himself. After a few minutes Haldor approaches Eric and starts a connversation. "Ahh, I have heard stories of your conflict with the shadeux in their warehouse, and have become intersted in your exploits. " Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Skrall noticed that two new quests had been posted by two figures he wasn't able to identify. Heaving himself off of his bench, the ogre descended the stairs and joined his dark mage friend. "Good mornin' to ya En Sabeh Nur. It looks like someone's not too happy with the local pickpockets. As it appears they ain't up for rouges, I think I may take a crack at catchin' this thief myself." With that the ogre signed his name up for QUEST #6: Wanted Donny Dozenhands. "By the way what did you think of the rangers offer of 25 gold? If your wantin' to sell your bedroll or potion we can headover to the market place and do some business. Who knows we may even get a glance at this Donny Dozenhands in action." Quote
Khorne Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 "Ahh, I have heard stories of your conflict with the shadeux in their warehouse, and have become intersted in your exploits. " Eric looked back and was surprised to see the person talking to him was actually nearly as tall as he was, there was but a few inches of difference between the two men's height. The man had rugged features and a good deal of red hair on his head. Dressed in furs and armour of high quality and intricate detail, this man was undoubtably Norse too. "God dag, vän. Hur mår du?*" Eric said, smiling. "I am pleased to hear your interest in my exploits. Indeed, we ran into some trouble with some of those crooked Shadeaux people, but we managed to defeat them, thanks to my fine blade and great companions. We put up a great fight. So, vad är din berättelse? Vad gör du här?**" * Good day, friend. How are you? ** What is your story? What brings you here? Quote

Professor Flitwick Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Thothwick scanned the quest board, before turning away. "Seems these new quests aren't for me. It appears Captain Lilbelly hasn't heard of the expression, "Set a thief to catch a thief". I also doubt I'd fare we'll against experienced combatants." Thothwick turns to the nearest crowd. "Well, it means you all have a better chance to get into a quest!" Quote

I see you signed up to catch thiefs, you are of a good heart after all" he said pondering " Maibe I will join you but with all this heroes signing may as well try for more than one" "I sign for Quests #4, #5,and #6 since number seven isn´t for my kind of services.Preferably the one with my fellow Skrall or quest number 4" Quote
Scorpiox Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 (edited) Haldor is pleased to have someone to talk to, especialy someone like himself. The other Norseman was taller, and much more muscle-y than Haldor, but clearly was more of a warrior than a healer like Haldor "I am good thanks, but a little bit nervous, it is wonderful to see all the victorious heros and I am glad that you made it out of the warehouse. I was very unsure at the time that you and your friends would be able to beat that woman in three rounds, but you did . It troubles me that the whole quest may have been a lie as there were never any Hinckwell crates, I sure hope that it was a misunderstanding not an attempt to get some heros killed . I wonder what the Siegfried bottles were doing there, they bear a resemblance to the purple light in the Siegfried quest. I wonder if I may have lived near you during my life at the village, where abouts was your tribe living? I was never like the kind of Norseman who hunted and fought great battles and I shall share my tale with you: It was a cold and icy morning and a lone figure was making his way to the nearest shelter, he had traveled far from the frozen Norse lands in search of a point to his life. He was clad in thick furs and heavy chainmail, he carried a small satchel stuffed full of what little supplies he could carry. As the sun rose the townsfolk noticed his worn and battered face, his flowing hair and beard, his strange throbbing mace and his eyes, those young eyes told a story of his life and his journey to the port of Eubric. It all started many years ago, in a wintery Norse village full of brave warriors and wise veterens... Since birth Haldor had been different from the other young men of the tribe, they always drempt of battle and hunting whereas Haldor was quiet, thinking of the world and why it was as it is. Haldor was bullied for not being as strong or as violent as the others, and laughed at for reading great tomes and muttering to himself. Haldor tried to be like the others, but he did not enjoy killing, he much prefered to try and give life back to things that were dying. He trained under the healers and wise men of the village but was infuriated at the ignorance of them, they still thought amputating a limb was the cure for everything! Life went on as it had done for many years untill an ill-fated hunting trip had turned Haldor's world upside down. For Haldor had always had this unusal touch, beetles that were crippled had moved again, dogs that were rotting had awoken , even bulls that were condemmed by disease had been as good as new. This power was to change Haldor's life in the coming weeks. As usual in the autumn months the men of the village rode out into the forest to stock up the supplies for winter, this was one of those trips, it went as smooth as ever with plentiful deer and wolves. But one of those wolves did not belong there, it had been twisted by a great sorcerer and thus stalked the hunters like wild rabbits. The cheiftain, Throdric, had spotted it and decided it would make a great prize, he decided to take it on single handedly. It didn't end well to say the least. Haldor had been trapping a hare when he heard the terrible screams, he rushed over to see the wolf savaging Throdric. He called for help and the wolf was quickly slain by the hunting party. But the cheiftain was mortaly wounded. The healers were called to do anything they could to save him, but he was fading. One of the healers had seen Haldor use his power and so Haldor was told to use all his strength to help ease the pain. Haldor began muttering and soon he lost control of his energy, he twitched and writhed as his magic was evaporating the wounds and removing all traces of the cheiftain's injury. After what seemed like hours Haldor awoke to see what he had done. Haldor was called a hero and appointed cheif healer of the village, but after months of reviving headstrong children and foolhardy warriors he grew bored, he wanted to use his powers for a purpose. He heard whispers of a free port where anyone was welcome and he could meet other people who were blessed as he was. Haldor gathered his things and journeyed to this fabled port, the road was hard and he found many dangers on the way, but after 3 years of hardship he stumbled upon a ferry bound for the free port of Eubric.
