Henry wakes up on the floor. Apparently Tesni has managed to leave the Hall this time, so maybe he should do so as well, he thinks. He listens to the Barbarian named Eric, who tells about his group infiltrating the Shadeux warehouse.

Eric looked back and was surprised to see the person talking to him was actually nearly as tall as he was, there was but a few inches of difference between the two men's height. The man had rugged features and a good deal of red hair on his head. Dressed in furs and armour of high quality and intricate detail, this man was undoubtably Norse too.

"God dag, vän. Hur mår du?*" Eric said, smiling. "I am pleased to hear your interest in my exploits. Indeed, we ran into some trouble with some of those crooked Shadeaux people, but we managed to defeat them, thanks to my fine blade and great companions. We put up a great fight. So, vad är din berättelse? Vad gör du här?**"

* Good day, friend. How are you?

** What is your story? What brings you here?

"So, er, Eric, I heard from some source (yes, that's right. He doesn't even need to leave the Hall to get into contact with his various sources ) that you were blinded during the final battle against that Shadeux gal. Why didn't your friends use some remedy to heal you? Just asking, I know it turned out all well (at least that's what one source says. Another one told him the whole group was bloodily slaughtered and hanged by the Château de Shadeux.) and you had stilla backup-plan to flee, but why risk it?"

"Hello there Ad-Hoh. Were are you from?"

Good day, young Elf. I come from the Pantanan swamps far away in the west, beyond the town of Drandora.

After my race was wiped out by bandits and our villages destroyed, I decided to travel east in search of a new purpose; and here I am.

What is your story?

I have considered the Quest Board and it seems there is a need for mages such as I in Quest #4 so I offer up my staff for that.

Atramor strolled back into the Hall. Though he was headed for the saloon, he may as well check out the Quest Board on the way. To his surprise, 4 more Quests had been posted. He quickly read through them.

"Hmm...Quest 4 is for the Shadauex, that's a shame...Quest 6, no rogues? Takes one to know one...but Quest 5 is for the Hinckwells, they like me now, and Quest 7 needs 3 experienced Heroes. That'll do great."

He signed up for Quest 5, Cave Sounds, and Quest 7, The Arena. He then returned to the saloon, grabbed a rum and a cob of corn, and sat down at the bar. He drank the rum, while McCaffery pecked the corn off the cobc hungrily.

Tesni walked back into the hall, she had slipped out earlier and spent a fruitful day reading maps and learning the histories of places beyond her homeland in the library, browsing the market and had just returned from a swim in a river not far from the city. Her plait swung heavily dripping fresh water and showering droplets as she scanned the room. It seemed Eric was back from his quest.

“Eric!” She called, waving as she walked towards the group. “How went your quest?”

Haldor is pleased to have someone to talk to, especialy someone like himself. The other Norseman was taller, and much more muscle-y than Haldor, but clearly was more of a warrior than a healer like Haldor

"I am good thanks, but a little bit nervous, it is wonderful to see all the victorious heros and I am glad that you made it out of the warehouse. I was very unsure at the time that you and your friends would be able to beat that woman in three rounds, but you did :sweet:. It troubles me that the whole quest may have been a lie as there were never any Hinckwell crates, I sure hope that it was a misunderstanding not an attempt to get some heros killed :look:. I wonder what the Siegfried bottles were doing there, they bear a resemblance to the purple light in the Siegfried quest.

I wonder if I may have lived near you during my life at the village, where abouts was your tribe living?

I was never like the kind of Norseman who hunted and fought great battles and I shall share my tale with you:

"That is quite the fine tale you have there. You could've easily become a skald with your story-telling capabilities. I don't I lived in a village nearby yours, otherwhise we would've certainly heard about one another's exploits already. I come from a village nearby the sea, so I spent most of my youth fishing and fighting, preparing to join my tribesmen on their many raids. It has been some years since I last visited my home, though." Eric face went grim at the thought of his home. "Anyway, I'm glad to see another Nord here. Maybe we'll even be able to team up in a future Quest!"

Henry wakes up on the floor. Apparently Tesni has managed to leave the Hall this time, so maybe he should do so as well, he thinks. He listens to the Barbarian named Eric, who tells about his group infiltrating the Shadeux warehouse.

Another one told him the whole group was bloodily slaughtered and hanged by the Château de Shadeux.) and you had stilla backup-plan to flee, but why risk it?"

Eric turned his attention to Henry, the Rogue. He nodded as the Rogue mentioned Eric was blinded. "Indeed, it is true, that wicked wench blinded me with some sort of powder. There wasn't really much my companions could do, lest we lose any of our hitting power dearly needed to bring down the Shadeaux." Eric paused, sipped his ale and then continued to answer Henry's question. "If you never take a risk, you will never gain anything in life, boy. We had to take the risk and fight her. No Nord backs down from battle, blinded or not! The only true death for a Viking lies on the battlefield. Fleeing would only bring dishonour upon oneself and his entire family!" the Nord spat. Clearly, Southerners weren't accustomed to Norse culture and knew little of its customs or traditions. "Your family and tribe are the most important things in life. There is no greater honour than dying in their name, sword at your side. Even if I had died during that battle, the Gods' servants would've come for me and taken me to the Afterlife, where I could fight and feast forever at their divine side!"

Haldor nodded. Strength, honour and martial traditions were still firmly rooted in the traditionally conservative Norse culture. Even though Haldor never felt strongly about these customs, he knew them by heart for he, too, was raised listening to the many heroic sagas and myths of their ancestors and gods.

While Eric was tutoring the young Southerner Henry about Norse values and culture, Tesni strolled in and joined their table.

"As I was just saying" Eric paused and smiled at Tesni "we had a good time on our Quest. There were plenty of mongrels to kill, pleasing the blood-thirst of my blade. Things did look grim at the end, though, when the propietor of the warehouse showed up and blinded me." Eric grumbled. He still didn't like the fact he was blind and helpless during the last fight of their Quest. "Maybe I ought to get an eyepatch like you?" he laughed.

Passing by the quest board Tesni noted the new adventures to be had, however chasing a crook did not seem a fair way to earn gold, leaving Cryf also was not an option she'd take. Leaving space for newer questors, she carried on up to the bar.

"Wow, you Northeners really have strange views on life. No offence, but if I had thought like that, I would have died before I got seven years old. And my family would still be dead. Except for my brother, but I didn't like him anyway. And I don't even have a tribe. And I don't really believe in Afterlife. Life's great, so why would I need an Afterlife?"

"We are strange? It think it is you people here who have strange manners!" Eric laughed. "But anyway, you are right. Life is a precious thing. We should live it to its fullest and enjoy every moment of it. That's why I strongly believe in life after death, as I would never want to lose the fun of life. The everlasting Afterlife is a reward bestowed upon mortals for great feats performed during life. A never ending feast, one I wouldn't want to miss." Eri smiled and raised his glass of beer. "But now, we are here, as mortals, enjoying ourselves in the great Hall of Heroica. To life and all of its pleasantries!" he said and downed his beer.

"I suppose most of the people in this Hall are a bit weird indeed," Henry admits. "But I'll second the other thing. To life and all of its pleasantries!" He raises his mug and downs his beer as well. :drunk:

Cronk has thought about it and will now sign up for two quests. Cronk sign up for Quest 5 because Cronk love good mystery and whatever making noise may be evil Cronk can bash with new sword. Cronk also sign up for Quest 7 because Cronk is interested to see how Cronk fare against other fighters. Sound like fun for Cronk.

Finding a good spot to sit, Tesni set about her routine of cleaning Cryf. Although the upgrade had improved the blade, a good cleaning wouldn't hurt it, besides, she was sure there were still some pumpkin seeds stuck in the hilt and squished ant would not be nice in the long run.

As she worked on her sword Tesni listened to the conversations around her.

After some drinking and gathering some new views on life and Afterlife, Henry says "Goodbye!" to the other heroes finally leaves the hall and heads for his inn.

Tarn notices a bit of a kerfuffle at the quest board. He nods to Skrall, and gets up to investigate.

Tarn had previously signed up for Quest #4: Taming the Lions because it sounded exciting and dangerous, and also put his name against Quest #5: Cave Sounds which sounded like a hunters mission.

Looking at the new quests he signed up for Quest #6: WANTED! Donny Dozenhands because he knew he could make short work of a dishonourable thief with his pole-axe.

Although the Quest stated that it was mainly for more experienced Adventurers, Tarn also put his name down for Quest #7: The Arena, because he knew he could handle himself in combat. The Valco monks had trained him well.

Signed up for all available Quests, and feeling rather pleased with himself, he settled back in at the bar to talk to his fellow Adventurers.

Leo walks into the hall thinking of his late brother...

"I went to Heroica to change my life. It did. Little bro, look after your self. Go to Heroica and find your destiny..."

Leo walks up to the board of quests and signs up for Quest's 4,5,6 and 7.

I heard what happened in the first quests when I sailed through Bonaparte Territory. I saw the Jolly Roger, but in the distance. So anyone know what happened to the large amounts of Orcs nearby? And Cronk, Luc mentioned you. He said to hold you in high respect because he said you were an Epic Evil Basher!

Seeing that some new quests had been posted ,Sir Christopher scribbled his name Quest #6: WANTED! Donny Dozenhands because people that take take what isn't theirs had always angered him:angry:. He also signed his name under Quest #7: The Arena because the idea of participating in a tournament like the knights of old appealed to him.(Man I had an idea for a arena style quest too)

It was getting late, and Haldor was tired. He looked around the room and at the door for the final time and evidently, the person wasn't going to come. Haldor tried to smile but he couldn't hide his dissapointment at the abscence of the person he wanted to see :sadnew:, hopefully he would see them tommorow but he would have to wait the the fourth hour again. He had so much to say to them and had hoped to brave his fears and tell them what the Norse word meant (But they probably knew from his behaviour anyway).

Haldor left the room and walked to the inn, thinking of how foolish he looked, a giant of a man afraid of talking to the person who he always thought about.

'I do wonder where my friends are' Tesni mumbled under her breath. Questing had been exciting and fun, sitting in the hall alone was not.

Thothwick sat in the seat opposite.

"Sometimes it's good to make new friends. Come let us stave off boredom."

Thothwick pondered for a moment, thinking of a possible topic.

"Any ideas what other class you will take at level 15 other abilities you'll take on when you become a more experienced Hero? You've been on a quest already, so you must of seen the pro's and con's of most."

De'kra returned to the hall, leaving the library behind. There was going to be about nine days until the heroes were chosen for the two quests he had signed up for, and that was at the earliest. Since he had plenty of time, he might as well spend some time listen to the heroes speak of their great quests, to give him some preparation. Not to mention that the more he hears them talk, the better he could get at understanding their language. And the better he got at "Freespeech" the more he could learn about this world, and possibly learn more about his past.

Jess returns to Heroica Hall, and looked at the questboard.

"Hm... I'll sign up for Quest #7, it looks like they need a strong fighter."

Jess then saw Tesni in the bar, and headed her way.
