Scubacarrot Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 "I'll consider 250 a fair compromise, sir." "Alright then." Guts hands 250 gold to Benji in exchange for the Grating Stone. Quote
Vash the Stampede Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Dreyrugr walked in after letting his new bat free to fly around for a bit. He stretches his arms as he walks over to the quest board. Party Requirements: 4 heroes. Need a sense of humor. Probably good at fighting. Diverse. Moderately to majorly experienced. I'm going to guess a warped and insane sense of humor isn't what they're looking for. Dreyrugr then makes his way to an empty table and sits down mulling the huge quest he'd been on. The fate of kingdoms and people were decided. The world was going mad, though Dreyrugr was hardly one to talk. Quote
StickFig Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Nerwen steps over to Purpearl and Matthias, the latter now lugging around a cannon nearly as big as himself. Matthias notes Nerwen's ...presence, very formidable, as she moves towards himself and Purpearl. Thinking back to the final battle and the hot words between Nerwen and Guts - and between Purpearl and Guts - Matthias notes how fitting it is that the two Elven ...girls? He's not even sure how to tell Elves ages, he realizes... how fitting it is that the two of them get along. Purpearl may be a lot like Nerwen one day soon, he thinks to himself: formidable. Dreyrugr then makes his way to an empty table and sits down mulling the huge quest he'd been on. Matthias is disappointed that the vampire didn't join himself and the elf mage, but knows that Dreyrugr prefers to be left to his own devices, so the gnome doesn't protest, merely meeting the black knight's eyes with a gesture of respect. Capt.JohnPaul Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Alexandre gets up to see Matthias. "Hey, you left in quite a hurry. Everything alright? " Then to no one in particular; "I have this elemental gem, wood, I believe. Anyone want to buy it?" Quote
StickFig Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Alexandre gets up to see Matthias. "Hey, you left in quite a hurry. Everything alright?" Math blushes just a little, embarrassed that his feelings got the better of him earlier. "I just needed a little air, that's all," he says, hearing how lame it sounds. Then to no one in particular, "I have this elemental gem, wood, I believe. Anyone want to buy it?" Eager to move the conversation away from his own sadness, Matthias adds raises his bass voice a notch so that all in the Hall can hear it. "Or anyone interested in a flaming sword?" he adds to Alexandre's solicitation. Quote
Chromeknight Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Nerwen smiles warmly at the gnome. Stars shine on our meeting Matthias. I am glad to see you returned safely after travelling with the circus. I would like to apologise, I fear you may have got caught in the ...rivalry... between Master Holla and I on the bridge. Naming you as Captain of that side was perhaps unfair on you and I hope there are no hard feelings over it, Quote
Purpearljellyblob Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) Matthias is glad to see Purpearl come into the Hall - he has a lot of respect for the way the Elven mage stood up to the other heroes in Baltarok. "Hi," he says as she sits down, "it's probably the beard and the hat that makes for the different look - I've been working on growing this beard in since I came to Heroica... after that unfortunate barbershop accident ruined my old beard," mumbling the last bit. "Anyway, the Fireball is a bit heavy but I'm learning the tricks to lugging it around. How about you? How was your visit home?" the gnome queries. Purpearl makes several glances at Matthias' huge cannon, looking slightly concerned and "Ah right, I think I might have problems dragging that massive thing around as well. I suppose you shouldn't point it at anyone you don't wish to, you know, incinerate at an instant. But I really hope to see that in action, sometime though." The elven mage winks and whispers to the gnome, "Have... you... been... stalking me?" Nerwen steps over to Purpearl and Matthias, the latter now lugging around a cannon nearly as big as himself. She places her. crocodile handbag on the table and says, This is the bag I was talking about. You may find it useful. Was it 50 gold we agreed upon? Purpearl recognises Nerwen as she closes in to the table where Matthias and her sit. She fiddles with her gold pouch for a second and hands Nerwen 50 gold before receiving the Crocodile Handbag, "50 it is. I hope the gem will be more useful to you than it is stuck to this handbag." Dreyrugr walked in after letting his new bat free to fly around for a bit. He stretches his arms as he walks over to the quest board. Ah there he is, the vampire and his bat. Purpearl keeps her eyes on the bat for a bit, watching it fly around the Hall. The presence of the bat didn't worry Purpearl too much, as she knows, that bat might lead her back to the circus, one day... Fiddling with her gold pouch once again, she looks around for Karie. Purpearl hasn't seen her in a while and hopes she's alright. Edited May 21, 2014 by Purpearljellyblob Quote
Flare Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 "Alright then." Guts hands 250 gold to Benji in exchange for the Grating Stone. Benji takes the 250 gold and gives Guts the grating stone, with a thankful grunt. At the same time, Benji posts a for sale ad in the hall: FOR SALE: Puglist's Gloves - If you want 'em, come and get 'em for a cheaper price. Or trade me a pair of Sterile Gloves, I think that white matches my outfit better... Quote

Masked Builder Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Alexis enters the hall to see that not much has changed. She goes over to the quest board and Signs up for Quest #102. She posts a note on the quest board. WANTED: Veteran's Badge. Willing to pay well for it. Contact Alexis Fenral if you have one. Then she heads upstairs, gets a drink, and takes a seat at a table; sipping her drink casually. Quote

Or trade me a pair of Sterile Gloves, I think that white matches my outfit better... Matthias looks up at Benji's ad as he posts it. The Pugilist's gloves in the Marketplace looked pretty good to him, but he couldn't afford to make any purchases at the moment, not even at 'a cheaper price'. Edited May 21, 2014 by nstickney Quote
The Legonater Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Excuse me, Matthias. Seeing Alexis' note, Dyric figures he can make a deal for something else. He follows her upstairs and waves in greeting. Hey, Alexis. I was wondering, is there any way I can buy your Quickdraw quiver? Quote
StickFig Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Excuse me, Matthias. Matthias nods, acknowledging Dyric leaving the table. Quote

UsernameMDM Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Hoke watched as the Hall buzzed with Heroicans returning from quests with new loot. He looked in his pack to see if he had anything he was wanting to to part ways with. He pulled a small table up to his chair and began sorting his inventory. Hoke polished and shined his gems so that his elemental etheral energies could flow freely through them. He check his bombs and thought about picking up a couple more, just in case. His eyes wandered to the small whispering metallic orb and quickly dismissed its siren's call as he dropped it unceremoniously into a tiny pouch tied around his neck. He didn't pick up much from the Northern Kingdoms and was somewhat glad of it. The one item he did keep, a helmet of a paladin, sat in his hands. He traced the comb with his thumb and thought to himself how this helmet should still be on a paladin's head. He quickly returned everything to its place and headed out of the Hall. A thick distaste of uncertainty coated his tongue. Quote

swils Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Thormanil slides into the Hall, burdened by a big back of toys and trinkets. He spies Nerwen across the room. "Don't think I didn't notice you eyeing this sword as you passed it to me, heh. It's shiny but I've got no use for it. Who's got time to meditate during a battle, anyway?" He rests the finely crafted sword against the table, a soft glow emanating from its blade. Quote
Chromeknight Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Nerwen smiles as the dragoon giant approaches I was indeed looking at it, thinking I could find good use for it. Will you accept 150 gold for it? Quote
Chromeknight Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Nerwen takes the sword and gives Thormanil 150 gold. What do you think of the situation in Baltarok and the Kingdoms? Did we make a difference? Do some good? Quote
The Legonater Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Can't say I've even heard of one. But I do have a Crimson Venom that could come in useful. There's also a banana here with some handy healing effects. Quote
Flare Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Benji butts in to Alexis and Dyric's conversation in a rude manner of picking Dyric up and moving him over a good 30 centimetres. The assassin was not as heavy as he looked. "Hoi there, I believe that my dear cousin had already promised me the quiver if she wouldn't need it, didn't ya Alexi? But anyways, I'm here to see if you want me to pay off my debt to you. I mean I'd obviously rather not pay it off but if you really need the gold then I suppose I should offer at least some of it back..." Quote
Scubacarrot Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Guts walks in the hall again, no longer raider, but an alchemist. Guts looked over at the hall, and at the blade he had to rename. He had never been good with names. Hell, it had been Nerwen that finally renamed the boat. Mythril... Mythril Death? No that sounded stupid. The Mithril Cut? That was even worse... After many hours of thinking of a name. Guts finally settled on Mythril Edge. It would work. Quote
