Leaving the training room to go to the marketplace Namyrra briefly stops at the quest board and signs up for quest 109.

Yawning, Mizuki woke up and went to the bar. Drinking tea from her homeland as well as eating a slice of cake, was the usual way she went about things every morning in Eubric. It wasn't like back home, where society was a lot more restricted and not as liberal. Finishing up, Mizuki noticed that people had gone to the questboard to sign something, so she walked over to sign up for quest 109

The doors to Heroica Hall opened ever so slightly as a cloaked human girl stepped into the entrance. The girl made her way up the stairs, eyes slightly wide taking in the wonder of the place. The girl wasn't much to look at, hair cut short, plenty of freckles, clothed in dark traveling clothes, and a worn ragged teddy bear in tow. If one looked closely one could have sworn that a much larger figure shimmered and appeared to follow the bear, but it could have simply been a trick of the light. The girl made her way to the bar and inquired of the barkeeper in a chipper voice.

"Excuse me Mam. There wouldn't happen to be an Ogre that frequents this place, would there? I'm here to collect a bounty."

Miderun pushed her half-empty mug of away. The drink was delicious, but found too much of it seemed to worsen her senses. She'd just pulled her cowl back up over her mouth as she caught movement in the corner of her eye, and found herself looking down at easily the smallest figure in the Hall she'd yet seen, at something of a loss. There were human children working as heroes?

No, that couldn't possibly be right.

"Kid," she began, before noting the typical rough tone of an orc and trying to soften it up as she continued. "I'm not quite sure you're in the right place..."

Polly, for that was the little girl's name, looked up at the barbarian with the rather large axe and gave a slight shiver. She whispered to her stuffed bear, before addressing the orc.

"Don't worry Mr. Sanders, I can handle this."

"This is Heroica Hall isn't it? What makes you think I'm in the wrong place? Couldn't I say the same about you?"

"Well....yes," admitted Miderun, somewhat surprised by the child's resoluteness. "But the things people do here, the places they go, they're...they're not really places for eight-year-olds. I mean, I've done some ridiculous stuff as a kid....but I've seen firsthand what these warriors are capable of. It's not something to be taken lightly. And that's coming from an orc."

"Well. Well. Well. I'm actually nine." Polly seemed a little agitated, axe or no axe, she wasn't going to be talked down to. "Besides, I've already made it a whole week away from home. And. And. And. I'm just here for the Ogre, once I take him in, I'll be out of this place and have plenty of gold to keep me going."

Miderun scratched her head.

"Have you ever actually seen an ogre?"

"Well not in person, but I've seen a picture." Polly paused for a moment before her eyes narrowed. "Hey, if you think you can take my bounty..."

"No, no, of course not. I've just seen plenty of ogres in my life. They tend to be pretty tough. And big. And fairly intelligent for their size."

"Oh, well as long as this Ogre doesn't use magic, I'll be ready for him." Polly grinned and thought for a moment, "Say, you seem to know plenty about Ogres, perhaps you could help me out. I'd give you thir... no twen..." The little girl starts to count on her fingers. "Ten percent of the bounty!"

"I'm not a sellsword...I'm not here for money. If I can help, I'd be happy to, but I really don't think taking on an ogre at your age is a good idea."

Miderun looked to the bar and grabbed her drink again, then thought better of it, turning back to Polly.

"Really, though, why's a valhsral like yourself hunting bounties in a hall of champions?"

Benji sees a little freckled girl walk into the hall and talk with a new hero. He hadn't met this new hero but he wasn't sure why this little girl was being permitted entrance to the hall. After all, he doubted that she was of legal drinking limit. He lumbers over to the two's conversation and rudely interrupts.

" *cough* Excuse me little one but don't ya think ya've got t'wrong address, perchance? This here is Heroica Hall, not for little'uns like you." He grins at her fiercely, with his pointed reptilian teeth gleaming coldly.

He then turns to the new hero. He audibly swallows his spit as he realizes that this new hero is none other but an orc of Baltarok. "Hello there. I'm Benji Carvenhall, Beast Warrior, the Dragonslayer and Champion *cough* of the Northern Kingdoms. And you are?" He looks at her fiercely and scratches his claws on his gator-skull helmet in an intimidating manner.

"Valhrasl?" Polly looked confusedly at her stuffed bear, before answering matter-of-factly "I saw a sign posted with a bounty for some Ogre of Heroica Hall, failure to pay child-support and debts or something like that, so here I am. Like I said, if he isn't a magic user, all I have to do is avoid direct combat with him, and he's good for the taking." So saying Polly pulled out an Amethyst and polished the gem with the hem of her cloak.

Polly glanced upwards at the tall man, he was tough looking and menacing but she stood her ground, "I just told her, I'm looking for an Ogre and no, this isn't the wrong address. Besides me and... and...." She looks at Midrune for a name, "her were talking and it's not nice to interrupt people."

Polly whispers to her bear, "Especially if you smell like a trash lizard."

"Vahlsral. Little one, in my tongue. And there's more dangers in the world than just magic."

Miderun frowned under her hood, and held her bandaged arm out for Polly to see.

"A wyvern did this. He was an ugly meldsuul, and had no magic, but was at least a few times the size of an ogre. Very dangerous. I was eager to impress for my rite of passage. I brought back his head, but I learned an important lesson. One everyone should learn, but preferably not the way I did."

She sat straight again as another hero approached. He actually vaguely reminded her of that wyvern, minus all the threatening bits. Miderun watched him try and fidget intimidatingly, unimpressed.

"Yes, we were in the middle of a conversation. My name is Miderun. Why do you label yourself so excessively? Is that a human trait?" She glanced momentarily at Polly, as if expecting her to answer, then just looked back up at Benji. "Typically we orcs display our prowess by destroying our enemies, not by scratching up our weapons and armor."

Noticing a group forming, Dyric goes to investigate. He almost walks by until he picks up a bit of the conversation.

Hey, Kid. What where you saying about finding an ogre?

Benji growls in an annoyed manner at the two new nutcases. "Well so sorry for interrupting your conversation. Good luck in Heroica, heh." He walks away to a quiet corner and puts his clawed feet on the table.

"I'm looking for an ogre, Skrull of Heroica Hall, or something like that. Why do you know him?"

Skrall is a fellow Hero, and more than that a friend. What would you have with him?

"Might be trouble, Mr. Sanders. He's probably harboring the ogre as a fugitive."

"He's got some debts and there's a bounty out on his head. Friend or not, you aren't going to stand in the way of justice, right?"

I stand for justice. True justice. I know Skrall, and I can assure you that anyone who's placed a bounty on his head has the wrong idea. Aside from that, Skrall has faced a goddess and lived. I doubt you alone will be able to force him anywhere.

But perhaps we can talk this over without any injury. I am Dyric Rone, Assassin of the Light. What debts has Skrall presumably acquired?

Another new individual walks into the hall, quietly opening the door and quietly closing it again, trying to make as little noise as possible. She makes her way up to the saloon, moving out of the way when people passed her. Eventually she found a table near the back and began to unload her sack. She noticed a name scratched into the wood of the table; "Karie Alderflask". She looks around, wondering if said hero was around. She makes her way from the table and to the bar.

"I don't know, the sign said something about late child-support and other debts. I'm just here to...to... Wait, did you say a goddess?" Polly paused a moment, before turning to the orc. "Ok Miderun, fifty percent for your help in bringing the ogre in. Perhaps we could hire some other heroes who aren't particularly chummy with the accused and go on a quest of our own to find this ruffian." So saying Polly glanced up as an Elven knight turned up at the bar. "You, you look like a capable woman of action want to help me and my Barbarian bring in a hostile ogre? There's gold in it for you." Polly tried to put on her most winning smile.
