Heroica RPG - Heroica Hall

"Oh holy Hels!" cries Bobby as a man a few tables over from him becomes a giant frickin' monster out of no where. He dives under the table.

[Asphalt]

Vindsval raises an eyebrow at the display of magic.

Impressive skill small one, Carvenhall Lokikin, Beastwarrior, Dragonslayer. I am called Vindsvall Half-born, Druids Son, Jotnar Spawn, Cleric of the Gray Wanderer.

He switches his enormous hammer to his left hand and holds out his right. Though it is nearly as large as the Half-Elf's entire torso it is clearly a non-threatening gesture.

If it would be so, I would consider ourselves well met.

[Flare]

"Nice to meet you, Vindsval. I'm glad you've joined our ancient hall of warriors. I have been here nearly since the beginning of Heroica's revival. If you are of need of any assistance, then I may be able to helpya. So, where you from hm?"

[Asphalt]

That is a question not easily answered. Let it just be said that my birthplace was to the far north, to protect those who have protected me I am afraid I may not speak more openly in these rather busy halls. I may tell you however that I have traveled here bring honor to my house and to gain knowledge of the world for "The Wanderer"

To do so however I am in need of funds and equipment. I have only what you see before you. The journey to this land depleted all of my meager coin, and treachery relieved me of all but my barest of belongings.

But,I heard rumor of this hall in my travels and that all who yearned for battle, knowledge, and prestige were welcome . As well as that quests could be found.

I have since entered my name to a scroll. Now I wait for others to join me on that quest. In the meantime, is there somewhere I could attempt to purchase some traveling necessities, though what I might be able to afford is questionable.

[Flare]

"Hmm. I see. Yea, you can sign up for quests and if you're chosen then you should be able to get some loot heh! A bedroll is always useful, by the way. Cheap but useful."

[Asphalt]

Many thanks. Perhaps I should visit the market while I wait.

[Asphalt]

Vindsvall leaves the hall in search of the market.

Vindsvall ducks back into the hall. This time with a bedroll slung across his massive back. He moves to the bar and asks the barkeep.

Pardon me, but would you happen to have any very large mugs?

To his surprise, Benji was chosen to be on a quest with a bunch of newbies. He ran out of the hall, to the marketplace so he wouldn't be late for the quest.

Haven't had the chance to be on a quest in a while, this one looks promising. Anyone else up for quest 112?

[Endgame]

A new figure walks into the hall. It was odd... Her decision was made after a literal walk in the park. She had thrown her weapon into the ocean, stepped off the boat, walked into Eubric's center, and tried her best to live life. It was only after a walk through the treacherous Triad Park, mere days after her arrival in Eubric, that she realized that she needed to do something. She had seen a lot in Eubric in ashort time - she was from a different time, a different country, a different role in society. She wasn't used to see violence just be commited so casually, so widespread.

So she decided that she would do something about it, and through the proper channels, too. She tried her hand at working normally for a month or two, becoming a barmaid for a short time. She made just enough before being fired - her odd skin tone apparently driving off customers - but that hardly mattered now. She had enough Gold to buy what she needed.

And so, still adjusting to a new home, a new life, a new era, a new hero walks through the doors of Heroica Hall:

Lynne.

She fumbles over to a seat, trying to scope out who else was here. She could tell that it was glaringly obvious she was new. Her confused glances betrayed her inexperience.

"...Huh. I'm... Not sure if this matches what I expected or not..."

Lynne takes a seat, part of her hoping nobody would bother her, another part badly wanting some conversation.

Lynne walks up to the questboard and signs into Quest #111. She nearly signs up for #112, only to quickly see the clause at the bottom.

"Hmmm... Does anyone not mind having an, uh, inexperienced hero in their party for Quest #112?"
