Jess walked into the bar.

"Hold up there, Jess!" Scheherazade called to her.

"What's up, Scheherazade?"

"A certain Norse Cleric left this letter for you..."

Jess read the letter, then re-read it, her heart pumping. Unsure of how to handle this turn of events, Jess sought the advice of her good friend Tesni, who was drinking a beer.

"Tesni! I need some advice. Read this..."

De'kra wondered what kind of entity Lady Wren would become thanks to her losses. It really all depended on what she got from her losses. Most people learn from their mistakes and get gradually better. But failing at every attempt could drive one to madness, either trying madly to prove yourself, or becoming a bitter person. There was another option, the plan. But De'kra wasn't about to accuse anyone of that.

Walking up to the only other rogue in the hall, De'kra asked, "You see Lay de Ren? Orc who run hall mention her."

De'kra turned to the shirtless barbarian. "Dagger of half-shirt barbarian, I buy dagger for 20 gold. I think ranger of farmer-quest also had extra dagger, I not aware of his price. I lucky to get dagger, that all."

"You have many of these Jess?"

"I've lived a long time, been many places. I can't say with honesty that this is the first heart I've stolen. But I've never acted upon it before."

"Greetings," she said, drawing his attention from the floor.

"Greetings," Sylph replied softly.

"There is a matter I wish to discuss with you." stated Namyrra.

"Shoot." said Sylph as he gestured to the stool beside him. "I'm all ears."

"Ah, mr/mrs Sylph, I have an offer for you. You see, that Emerald which the Ziegfrieds gave you, you can't really use that for anything, can you? And if you were to sell it to a shop you would only get 50 gold for it. So I'm prepared to offer you 85 gold for it, how does that sound?"

De'kra waited for the other rogue to answer. She seemed...perplexed by something. The shade waited respectfully to be answered, all the while wondering what the quest number four had to do with lions.

(OoC: If I missed someone's sign-up, please speak up.)

Boomingham walks back over to the quest board and once more, with a heavier hand this time, SIGNS UP FOR QUEST 6.

De'kra realized that whatever was puzzling the rogue was distracting her, so he walked away. The shade resolved to ask that rogue what she was perplexed about on another occasion, hopefully once she had solved the issue. Moving on, he spotted a large knight carrying a great sword and two shields. "Hero," clicked De'kra as he approached the knight, "why you carry two shields? You only can use one in battle. Weaker shield have good memories? Also, you hear about Abraxas yet? He dean man that live in wizard house, and manifestation of pride. Heroes think the souls in warehouse were food for Abraxas."

OOC: De'kra is talking to boomingham in case it isn't clear

"I was hoping you'd ask me this. This gem has hardly any value to me aside from the pecuniary, and if I applied it to my weapon, I'd put myself at risk every time I fought anything this gem is weak against. This tool aught to be in the hands of one who can use it properly. Besides that, you offer me quite a bounty. I could hardly refuse. I will sell you my emerald for 85 gold."

(Ooc: If you don't mind, I'm assuming your mutual agreement, so I'll go ahead and add 85 gold to my stats and remove the gem. Feel free to change your stats too.)

"Hello Jess, how are you doing?"

"Um... Interesting. Here, read this..."

Jess handed the ranger the note, and waited patiently for her response and thoughts.

"Hmm... As I'm sure you know, I'm a fairly young elf, and I can't say I have too much experience with this. But maybe you should try to talk to him tell him your feelings.

"Splendid, it's a pleasure to do business with you Sylph. And I do hope we can go on another quest some time, it was quite an experience. :classic:"

Tesni had been thinking, unfortunately it was long thought.

"Maybe a careful reply would be wise? Thank the person, as it is nice to be admired," Tesni grinned, "then let him down gently?"

This was an interesting predicament, Tesni had had some offers herself, but the traditional manner of this was a match and she had always bested the suitors, when she made it known she was to quest the friendlier of the suitors had wished her luck and settled with local girls.

De'kra noticed that the elf from before had joined in the conversation. Since she was on a table in the lighter section of the room, the shade noticed that she had war-paint on her mouth. Many people in this land had such war-paint, though they never mentioned why. De'kra suspected it was a done by a group in the city who only meat, and thus painted their mouths like blood. De'kra also noticed half-shirt barbarian had the war-paint, along with a bone white hero.

De'kra approached the table of the two elves and the half-shirt barbarian and asked, "You hear of Abraxas yet? Number of heroes think souls in warehouse for him. Souls in Ziegfrieds' crate, and Abraxas live at Ziegfried house. Think connection?

"No I haven't. Who/what are they?"

De'kra clicked, "Byblos say Abraxas dean man of pride. He live in Ziegfried house, and made house-leader vanish. Zed, first in-line for house leadership, served Abraxas. Abraxas know him "feeder," before Abraxas kill Zed. Ziegfried trying to defeat Abraxas alone, but wizards proud; might wizards in danger. Since warehouse souls in Ziegfried crate, souls might food for Abraxas. Not aware where Shadeaux fit in puzzle. You know more?"

Benji walks in and orders a drink. He sits down at the bar. Everyone seemed busy talking to someone else, so he sat by himself at the bar.

De'kra watched as a hero entered the hall. He appeared to be part human and part elf, judging by his features. De'kra wondered where hybrids such as Benji came from, where they a result of wizard /alchemist experiments, or by some other way.

"Oh Abraxas. I seem to remember someone telling me about him."

"Maybe a careful reply would be wise? Thank the person, as it is nice to be admired," Tesni grinned, "then let him down gently?"

"I agree with Tesni here Jess."

De'kra nods and clicks, "I think heroes need know about Abraxas, he strong. He turn Ziegfried wizards furniture, and use them in attacks against heroes. Wizards prepare to confront him, but they very proud. Orc who first link souls and Abraxas think that since Abraxas dean man of pride, the Ziegfrieds helpless. Heroes need ready for Abraxas. You tell heroes about Abraxas when you have chance?"
