Althior signs up for Quest #117

"Althior, hey!" she greeted with a big smile. "It's been a long while. You look downright dreadful, if I may say."

Althior nods his head as Ellaria walks in. "Been a long while, hasn't it? How long ago was that dreadful night at the theater? Seems so damned long ago," Back in the simpler times, he thought, "What have you been up to? Looks like you've been able to change out of those long robes you wore back in the day for something more, well, practical. Makes demon slaying a lot easier, right?" He smirks.

Hybros takes the claw and straps it onto his wrist, holding it as if he were about to strike. It would suit him well in his new style of hand-to-hand combat. "I am proficient with many blades, but long training and necessity have led me to learn other skills. I've learned to channel my strength through something other than the scythe I hold. And what is it that you practice, ehum..." The man has still not given his name, but just then Ellaria stepped up to the bar to greet him; supposedly they were old friends. "...Althior, is it? I am Hybros. How do you know this talented druid?" Hybros gave a nod and a small smile to Ellaria.

"Trust me, you're better off not knowing what I do these days." He listened to the Imp's further inquiry, "How do I know her? I poisoned her," He gives Ellaria a wink. "We actually met in a cave on the outskirts of town. That has to have been about three years ago now. Back with the 'old gang'. Time flies, as they say. How are the two of you acquainted, then?"

[Endgame]

Quest 115 delayed until October 15th, or until more heroes sign up. Recent complications have rendred the number of heroes chosen to go to one.

Warlen looked at Germ, then Nur, and said:

"Well, I'm in the middle of a talk, but you can join us! I was just going to tell Nur another story. Enjoy the ride, I'll introduce myself after."

"One time, we had to stay at an Inn for the night, as we journeyed to find a cure to my... condition, we met an unfriendly barman with disgusting stew." Warlen shivered. "After pacifying him, he agreed to let us stay if we would cast a spell to protect his Inn from a group marauding Orcs, Goblins and Giants." Warlen Grimaced at the giant. "No enemity harboured towards ya.

Well, he charged us 30 gold for the night, and let's just say that he probably regretted charging us so much. In fact, he lost his spell."

As as the story set in, Warlen Introduced himself.

"Warlen Melimane, Half-Elf, Half-Human, Half-Pure Funny. Oh wait, that's too many halves!" He grinned.

"This here skull is Quarion, AKA Q, by longtime companion and ridiculously smart dude."

"Hell-lo," murmured Quarion

A half demon, a half elf, a half man well an 1/8 man, and a half giant to round out the mix. Perhaps between all of us we will form quite the party. But it would seem we are still short. The notice seems to imply we need more members to our merry band.

Warlen grinned at Vindsval.

"Dont worry, I got some Z-Mails from some willing heros." He grinned.

I can't wa to meet this "Lind Whisperer"."

[Asphalt]

"Lind whisperer?" I once knew of a shamen the villagers in his valley called the "sheep whisperer." I would not repeat the accounts of his rumored exploits amid mixed company. Though, I admit I know not what a "Lind" might be.

"Maybe a piece of lint blowing in the wind? Lind...?"

Alfred the Stalwart continued to remain frozen next to the questboard. He watched only the Heroes that crossed his field of vision as he'd been instructed not to move. I wonder when one of these fleshlings will attempt to steal my garnet eyes.

"So Warlen, you and your friends have plans to venture into the farmer's back yard? What do you know of this place? I hear it is very dangerous and you must be quite formidable warriors to return alive."

[CMP]

"Yep, sounds like Heroica alright, we have a tendency for gettin' involved in stuff that ain't all our business, but things tend to work out for the better. I heard somethin' about the goin'ons in Baltarok, didn't expect we'd be seein' anyone coming here from here from there though. If yer lookin' fer a place to make an impact on the world, well welcome to ya. Skrall, by the way." Skrall doffed his cap at the orc.

"Miderun. Don't expect to see many more. The waters around Baltarok are still dangerous and now we've got rebuilding to do on top of having to build up the armies. And that's just it - Baltarok was none of your business, but you heeded the call anyway. That's probably the most kindness my country has seen since...well, ever."

"Well, I'm in it for the prizes..." Warlen said confidentially.

"A WP 50 pitchfork, a medal for more glory than most heroes ever, and have you ever heard of Decamon?"

Benji, bored in the bar, walks down to check on the quest board. Seeing a statue there of some strange person, Benji looks qt it inquisitively. 'Whoever put a statue here outta get hanged, who do they think they are...' He thinks to himself.

He taps on the stone man, and picks him up over his shoulder, and starts to carry him towards the door, intending to throw the obscene statue out of the hall.

'Not as heavy as it looks.' Grumbles Benji. A figure made out of rock wasn't exactly light, but Benji wasn't exactly a lightweight either.

It is happening... Alfred remained steadfast in his duty to appear statuesque despite his clothing draping over his abductor.

"Well, I'm in it for the prizes..." Warlen said confidentially.

"Indeed, I came across the game while traveling in the Babeleth Darklands. There is a wonderful amount of cards that I intend on collecting. Such as this one..."

"...the majectic mud frog. Not to be confused with the sweet and magical croakoa treats." Nur offers a wink.

"Umm, this STATUE doesn't belong to me, or i dunno who, but it doesn't belong in the Hall! I'm throwing it out."

Benji grunts as he lunges at the door, only to realize that the door is PULL and not PUSH. Groaning at the dwarf, he turns around to speak to him again.

"You gonna help me open the door? This statue is getting heavier every second. Its gonna happily smash outside into a million little shards, heh heh."

[Duvors]

"Actually that is a golem, I know because for one, nobody puts clothes on a statue, two, nobody puts a statue with garnets for eyes out in the open like that where anyone could take it, three, if that was a statue it would be made of solid granite and you couldn't possibly lift it outside of were form, fourth, statues do not look to see who is speaking, like that thing you're carrying did when I spoke, and fifth, even if I felt like taking that thing outside and smashing it (which I don't) I wouldn't because that would be vandalism and willful destruction of property which you are not the owner of. In fact I'd probably have to report you to the watch for those crimes, and probably theft too because that isn't your golem and you are obviously carrying it off without permission of the owner, it might also be considered murder, I'm not really certain how Eubric law treats the destruction of golems."

Both of which included delivering expensive machines for the Ji Pei. Do you not remember, Ellaria? Hehehe... And for being in Heroica for so long, Althior, I am surprised we have not met before. Tell me of your most recent quest." Hybros needed something to occupy his mind for the time being. He stirred his tea with a pointy finger before sipping it again.

~A new quest has been posted on the Quest Board (#118 by Flipz)! ~

"By Sylvania, it's been over a year", Ellaria counted. She then told Althior all about her adventures after the said night at the theater, explaining her newfound confidence. "The dresses and robes did start to get too much of a burden on the road, you're right. This attire is much more adventurer-friendly, hehe."

After chatting with Althior and Hybros for a good while, Ellaria decided to call it a night. Before she left, she checked the Quest Board and saw a new quest posted on it. She then inscribed her signature under Quest#118 as well, and waved her friends goodbye as she left through the door.

OoC: I actually have a heavy preference for Flipz's quest, because I want Ellaria to become an Alchemist. If it's not possible to take her in to that quest, though, I fully understand.

Hybros listens to Ellaria and Althior talk, and signs up for Quest 116 and 118.

Basically, all it boils down to is destroying an ancient hoard of knowledge," Althior had no wish to speak of what he had done. The more it had set in; the cataclysmic actions he had taken, the more of a toll it had taken on him. Ignorance is bliss, he thought. He had already destroyed an infinite amount of memories. Keeping one more locked away couldn't do much worse. "So you're in with the Ji Pei, are you not? I met them once. Not sure if they'd like having me back after I put a huge stone pillar in their living room." He chuckled "Can't be that bad if they're up against the Bonapartes, though."

"Destroying knowledge, hm? Yes, quite the opposite of what we achieved... Well whichever knowledge you destroyed, had you no desire to learn it?"

"Yes, Jun Ji Pei is a close friend of mine. I have learned much from him, including the ways of the Chi Monk."

"Well, from what I've heard, in the fields of glory, there is a machine that can turn enemies into decamon cards!"

"That is available for heroes? Some interesting magic I must say. The possession of such a tool would increase one's collection significantly and quite quickly."
