Heroica RPG - Heroica Hall

Atramor turns his head slightly to Alexis and the Shade. He carefully listens to the theory about Abraxas.

"So we opened some kind of evil soul in a bottle? Knew we shoulda sold it."

He shrugs, and McCaffery looks at the Shade, thinking it looks rather like a scarecrow.

[Tanma]

De'kra shrugged and clicked, "Perhaps, perhaps good soul and lots of pride. Pride not exclusive to evil. But Abraxas already in Ziegfried house when heroes entered warehouse, Abraxas not of bottle, in case you think he of bottle. Either way soul might food for Abraxas. I go ask library about dean mans, souls, and history of Ziegfried house. Also, you hear Orc host talk? She mention things, like new pirate, town watch, alchemists make explosion, and failed hero Lady Wren."

De'kra returned to the hall, and checked the calendar. In six more days the final selection of the heroes for Quest 4 and quest 5 would begin.

Tesni sat in her corner. She was debating over going back up to the mountains and exploring some more, or sticking to the town. With a bedroll in her possesion, any number of the sea cliff caves would make a good home between quests. As she thought she watched the comings and goings of the hall.

[Tanma]

De'kra returned to the shadows of the room, far from the light. As he stepped into complete darkness, the shade leapt back. "Valmai!" he uttered, looking into the shadows tearfully. Slowly he backed away, and moved across the room to another dark corner. The light may cause him emotional pain, but that darkness, had brushed up against him. Did anyone notice his outburst, and that strange word; not found in any dialect?

[Bricksandparts]

After wandering in the outskirts of Eubric, Alf walks into Heroica hall. Hmm, Alf wonders who all is signed up for the quests.

[Tanma]

De'kra spotted the barbarian from earlier enter the hall. "Greetings hero-who-ask-about-dagger," he said from his shadowy region in the hall, "you see new sights in village? Also, you know of any live shadows in hall?"

The Chevalier hears the conversation with the elves and Tensi, but decides not to intrude, as an honorable knight shouldn't do that.

He pulls out his sword and The Ranger Bart tips over the table begins to sharpen it with a rock and oils it. Seems like a good way to pass the time.

Alex waits for a conversation that he could join in to start.

"Hello short man. not much new out of castle-hall, just talk to farmer helpers. Me name Alf, what your name?

"what means, shadow peoples?"

[Tanma]

De'kra clicked, "I De'kra. Name translates roughly to Dark Whispers, in home tongue. Name I when washed onto east southeastern region of island, and no memories. I only knew sunlight make I sad, and home tongue. About live shadows, I thought I felt thing in shadows. Probably rat."

[Bricksandparts]

"you look like young people? how old you?"

[Tanma]

De'kra shrugged and clicked, "I not know age. One year pass after I awoke, mean I definitely over one year old, but not know exact age. And I not know race; I not know lifespan. You know you past?"

[Bricksandparts]

"about 23 years. I left about at 12 years to life in wild"

[Tanma]

De'kra nods at Alf, and walks away. The shade heads off to sleep, though not out of need. Dreams were a calming thing, opening him a window to his past. However in truth he could not remember the dreams, only the taste of sweet memories.

[Bricksandparts]

Alf lays down against the wall. "night night dek'ra"

[Flare]

Benji moves over to sit by Tesni.

"Hi there, whats your name? I'm called Benji... haven't seen many female barbarians around, where are you from?"

"I am from far off and up high. I can not say on a map where, I know I took a lunar to get here. I am of the Hightribe, we lived right up on the mountains."

[Tanma]

De'ka awoke, unsure of what today would bring. He still had plenty of time before the quests, especially if he wasn't picked to participate in this group. But what could he do for the days he had to wait for.

[Sisco]

Jess returned to Heroica Hall, and went to look at the quest board.

"Interesting, it looks like the party for Quest #5 is up."

Written on the board were these lucky heroes...

"Hm. Good luck to the chosen heroes!"

Tesni heard her friend read the names. "This is good! Once again I get to do a quest!"

[Sisco]

"Congrats, Tesni! Oh look, I seem to have forgotten something..."

On the party list, a Party Leader had been added to Tarn Valco!

[Tanma]

De'kra watched as the list of heroes for Quest 5 was updated. The rogue was unfamiliar with the names of those heroes, though some of them he recognized from the days prior. The shade wondered what that quest would be like, and what was lurking in that cave. At least for the moment it didn't affect him, so he could continue to wait to seethe chosen of quest 4.

Haldor walked back into the hall, he was nervous to see if his letter had been recieved. There was no reply, but the barmaid told him that the elf had got the letter. Haldor really wanted to know whether his letter had just been tossed aside or actually thought about. He didn't want to write another one for fear of irritating the elf, but he couldn't put it out of his mind.

Haldor decided to ask Tesni what the elf had said.

"Excuse me Miss Hightribe, but do you know if, erm, she, uhh, uhh, if she read the letter ."

Tesni smiled politely. "Aye, she got the letter. I am not sure her reply."

[Sandy]

Ellaria blushes as she sees her name in the list of chosen participants for Quest #5.

"I cannot believe this is happening..." she mutters, then spots some of the people who are going to embark on the same quest. They all look so tough and ready to face anything. Ellaria looks down at her own white dress. Maybe she should change into something more fitting for the quest...

[Tanma]

The shade watched as the half-shirt barbarian began to speak to another hero. The other hero seemed nervous in his speech, as he mentioned a letter. De'kra turned away as the two of them began to speak, noting that it didn't seem to be vital knowledge. Of course that won't stop him from hearing it, but he wasn't actively listening.
