After his talk with Tesni, Haldor knew he would have to just wait and see what happend.

Haldor thanks the barbarian and orders some food from the bar, he goes to the inn to fetch his chainmail and his weapon (as he left for the hall in a hurry this morning). After a few minutes he is back and sits down to polish his armour.

Henry reads the list of the participants for the cave sounds quest, realizing he hasn't been chosen.

"Oh, damn it" he says disappointedly. "At least there's still the two other quest I've been signing up for." :hmpf_bad:

De'kra glanced in surprise at the cleric, who had actually put on more clothes. What rational being would put more clothes on? De'kra wore his clothes merely toehold his weapons, the act was pretty much a chore. All they did was weigh a hero down, costing them valuable speed and accuracy. Sure, armor is good for protection, but the strain it takes to make and the slower pace it grants hurts more than it helps.

Thothwick read the listen in excitement, but looked up disappointed.

"I'm in a similar position, my friend. Now my hopes are riding on one quest; Rouges can't participate in the sixth quest, and I fear I'm not strong enough for the seventh".

"I'm afraid I'm not strong enough either, but as this norseman with the funny view on life has told me, I will not surrender, and especially not before even trying. And I've some experience with those Arena fights. I've never fought one, of course, but I've watched several and helped organizing one. And it's not always pure strength that wins them, I tell you. I didn't know they were legal, though." :sceptic:

Thothwick briefly pondered upon the story, before making a decision.

"You have a point my friend."

De'kra hears two rogues discussing the quests, and listens in to their conversation. A short time later he sighs and turns away. It was true that one didn't need to be strong to be a hero, even the weakest heroes can help change the world. But at the same time one needs to know their limits, their flaws and issues. A good hero should be ready to face any danger, but not charge into an unnecessary fight. Besides, De'kra had never fought before...right?

"Oh, another giant flesh-eating monster whale in the tarn. Why the hell did I convince you?"

"Well, it is not seemly to go about not wearing clothes so you might as well put on some that protect you. The advantage that chainmail such as mine has over plate armour is that it is lighter and allows more movement, but offers less protection. Plate armour is only good for cavalry in my opinion, as you are an easy target clunking about in full-body armour. You, De'kra, are a rogue so your fighting style is based on being light, wheras a knight or barbarian uses huge strength to crush their foes. I fight more in a mixture of both, but I try to avoid shedding blood pointlessly.

My chainmail is not as heavy as you might think because it's Mithril, MIITTTTHHHHRIIILLL!!!! only small plates connected together, whereas huge plates weigh a ton. Besides, I can manage the extra weight :classic: ."

It took some time, but finally Ellaria found an outfit that she thought suited her. It was bolder and more outlandish than anything she had ever worn before, but that only made her feel more sure of herself.

Ellaria gets +1 point to confidence. ( )

De'kra returned from the library, now with a greater knowledge of Direwolves. Still, he had to wonder why the Direwolves socialized at all, with their power they should be able to take down any foe, well except for a band of heroes. As he returned to a shadowy region of the hall, he spotted a Metasimian make a weird eye movement accompanyed with a strange sound. The shade decided to listen in, in case the cause for this was explained.

Thothwick looked over Henry's shoulder, winked and wolf whistled jovially!

Ellaria spun around to see where the whistling sound had come from. When she saw a Metasimian winking at her, she did not know what else to do but blush again.

Suddenly she felt as if she was wearing nothing at all. Quickly Ellaria retreated to the Gallery. There was usually very few people there, and such was the case this time as well. She turned her attention to the portraits of famed heroes who had served Heroica. At the very beginning of the gallery were paintings of the six founders. Staring at the portrait of the Veteran called Lady Luck, Ellaria assured herself that at least she wasn't wearing mere undergarments, unlike the legendary female rogue.

De'kra noticed a female cleric running off towards the gallery. She seemed stressed by something, perhaps by the strange movements the Metasimian had made. Not sure what happened that stressed the cleric, the shade followed after her. "You stress?" he asked after the cleric seemed to be slightly more relaxed.

Alexis walks into the hall and see that she has been chosen for The Cave Sounds quest.

She also sees that Tensi has been chose to go too.

As she moves on from the quest board she sees that Ellaria has a new out fit. Alexis moves over to talk to her.

"What made you get a new outfit? I do like it though."

Henry admired the new outfit Ellaria wears. It looked pretty nice. he wondered, what it was worth. And he wondered, how he could get it. Arriving at the decision it's not that valuable and he won't be able to steal it anyway, he returned to the Metasimian he had talked to, who also seemed to like the dress, according to his whistle.

"Are metasimians even attracted to human females? I have some disgusting visions in my mind right now."

Atramor didn't get a chance to observe the humorous spectacle. He was sleeping. Lazyass. Instead, McCafferey fluttered over to observe the giant monkey, and bawked confusedly.

Unimpressed with the current displays, Tesni remained at the bar, drinking her small beer (OCC: Small Beer is the nearly no alcohol content beer that they drank back when water was always brown and made you ill!) she was considering switching to the orcish ale...

Nyx looks up from her fourth Flaming Gumball to see the shy and retiring timid Cleric has had a bit of a make-over.

Hey Ellaria! Nyx calls over

Fabulous outfit, and very practical too. You must give me the number of your dress maker! You looked a little uhm, wholesome before, now you look like we could go paint the town red together. :sweet: And then set fire to it maybe? :sweet:

Or not... :look:Nyx adds as she spots the confident new Ellaria's look of disapproval

Ellaria saw that two people had followed her into the Gallery: a peculiar small creature and an elven ranger.

"You stress?" he asked after the cleric seemed to be slightly more relaxed.

Ellaria tilted her head upon hearing the little creature's odd clicking voice.

"N-no, thank you, I am perfectly well."

She then turned her attention to the ranger.

"What made you get a new outfit? I do like it though."

"Thank you... My old dress just did not seem to fit the quest I was just approved into. I am joining a party that is to venture into some cave. You wouldn't happen to be on that quest too, would you?"

A third person enters the Gallery after Ellaria. It's the black-clad female mage that Ellaria has seen around the hall quite a few times.

"Well, I am impressed that you know my name, since I haven't really talked to anyone here that much yet. But going into town...? Burn it down...? I don't think I am that kind of a girl, sorry." :sceptic:

Ellaria feels baffled by the attention she is getting from her new outfit, but also more... empowered, maybe?

De'kra nods, and clicks, "I hope you feel better." As he walked away, the shade turns his attention to the six original veterans' pictures. The six ancient heroes stood high on the wall, each with their main weapon in hand. "Wonder where Verterans' weapons went," he clicked to no one in particular, "To survive against entire army and win, weapons need strength. Even in current time weapons will powerful."

"There have been Human/Metasimian relationships before, but... she not quite my type. I'm a bit too old for her"

Thothwick pets McCafferey, trying to reassure it.
