Waterbrick Down Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 I am no man of chit-chat but as we are waiting to get to the action, maybe it is good to get to know your battle-mates. What your stories, why thou are here? "Grew up in the temple of Ennoc all my life, specialized in the removal and expulsion of the undead and demonic powers. Had a bad run-in with a vampire a couple of months ago, left me like this, didn't leave the order with too much of a choice. Banished immediately and had to take to the streets. Still got some healing power in these bones, but not everyone's a big fan of someone who'd just as likely take your blood out as put it back in. Got caught up in a scuffle with some Town Watch and ducked in here for a spell. I'd heard about the place but never really thought much of it, people sticking there self righteous moral noses in other people's business and all. But hey, the pay don't look too bad and the atmosphere's pleasant enough, so I figured I'd stay for a little while." Quote
bionicle_fanatic Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Karl listened with interest to Boris's story. "Hold on: If you're a vampire, technically a demon, how come you say you specialized in the removal of demons?" It wasn't a challenge, just a question fed by honest curiosity. Quote
Kintobor Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 The doors to Heroica Hall burst open as a young man walks in from the frigid winter air, stomping his boots as he enters. With crook in hand, he heads to the quest board and takes his time at the Quest Board. "Hmm. Some of these people seem familiar. Let me just jot down their names here..." Current Sign Ups for Quest 122: Invasion of the Sheep Snatchers -Siercon, level 15 Battle Mage (Siercon and Coral) -Purpearl Berthadhiell, Level 17 Mystic Knight (PurpleJellyBlob) -Matthais, Level 16 Druid (StickFig) -Darksten, Level 12.5 Ranger (Comrade Commander) QM Note: I know this quest is a little ways off, but you four would make a pretty compelling party. bionicle_fanatic Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 "Ohh...." Understanding filled Xev's expression, mixed with only a little fear. "So if a vampire... bites you, you... turn into one? Like a zombie?" Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 "Something like that, you'd need a little of my fluids first though, blood, saliva, etc. Most vampires are in so much of a hurry that it doesn't matter, but if we're careful we can feed without passing on the condition." Quote
bionicle_fanatic Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Feeling slightly queazy, Karl decided to change the subject. "So umm, what was the temple of Ennoc like? Who even is Ennoc? Wasn't he something to do with the Paladin Order or something..?" Quote
Actaeon Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Well, it can't hurt to sign up for two quests. Actaeon signs up for quest #122. Quote

Truth, justice, the Eubrician way, he's the embodiment of it all. His paladins and clerics are among the purest in all of Olegaia. Ennoc was the first of the new gods and by his might he set forth the new path to righteousness, a better path. Siercon and Coral Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 (edited) Kiray looked over the party list she could quest with. Only other she recognized was Siercon; she narrowed her eyes at Siercon from across the Hall. Seeing Kiray's look from across the room, he approaches. "So, regardless of if we go on this quest together or not, we should probably talk." He offered. He spoke so Actaeon could hear as well, gesturing him to the conversation if he would like. "It's obvious from our last venture that the three of us have some very different opinions." Siercon said. "Personally I have calculated these differences as such, opinions. Perhaps you felt differently, but I left our journey without any doubt that I would watch your back, or the other way around in the future. I truly could not support the assassins actions, and continued to make every effort not to cross our blades with yours." He continued looking at Actaeon. "You seem to have made some possibly false deductions towards the end there, which in the wake of watching the honest dragoon die, I had no desire to amend. If you would like, I would be open to answering any questions you might have for me." "In short, as for our differences; I wouldn't want you setting the rules for justice, but that wouldn't stop me from risking my life to keep you alive, or joining you in enforcing them." Siercon finished hoping for a reply. Edited December 31, 2014 by Siercon and Coral Quote
Mencot Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Keliim silently listened to the stories and discussion his fellow table companies shared, drinking many mugs of mead: Karl took a pull on his ale, stalling for time. "There isn't really much to tell. I mean, I've got uncountable tales I could tell, but most of them are kinda mundane. Like, dodging Bonapartes at the harbour, pickpo... shopping at the fishmarket, umm, and breaking i... umm... visiting the Zeigfried Mansion." He realized he was talking too much. "Most of my life I've been just stayin' alive." He shrugged. "No idea where my parents are, or if they're even alive. I got left outside the Oracle's Shrine, apparently. This tramp found me, and when no one claimed me he kinda became my adoptive parent. Used to get me scraps he'd salvaged from around the garbage heap. Sometimes even used to steal cakes from the warehouses... " His eyes glazed over slightly, and he lapsed into a brown study. She paused, thinking about the words she would say. "It certainly was a difference of opinions, Siercon. I agree, I would watch your back if you we're in the same party. We have the same endgoal, maybe just different ways to get it done. I'm willing to bury the hatchet if you are, try to keep any animosity out of the next quest, and such. How is that?" Quote

An acquaintance told me that some people supposedly offering jobs to the poor were just looking for free labour." He gave a non-commital jerk of the head. Mencot Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 (edited) "Perhaps." Boris contemplates before signing up for Quest 122. "And where do you hail from Keliim and what occasion bestowed upon you the moniker of cruelty?" Before doing anything else Keliim also signs up for Quest 122 as his warriormates had done before him. And then he sit back down and lets out a deep sigh before answering Boris question. That would be a long story but i wll try make it short. Keliim drinks from his new mug of mead before continuing. Because of the memorylose, i just rememeber bits, here and there but parts have started to coming back. I did not originate from this place at all, magic brought me here 2 years ago. I am from a place called Roawia, maybe you have hear about it. And I was one of the sons of a might barbarian king, ruler over many clans of tribesmen. Our clan was an mountaintribe, close to nature but strong warriors. We had a symbiosis with nature and animals. What I remember, we lived peacefully with the other people of Roawia but sometime in my youth that change. War raged between the clans and the Royal houses of Roawia. My family was slain. I was take the rule, I was not know among my men and my people as Keliim the oppressor, Keliim the pillager or Keliim the Cruel. The big man stands up and stretches his back, he is almost 6.9 feet tall and still looks muscular altough having more bodyfat than needed. I was a fair ruler but everything is in the eyes of the beholder, the royal and noble houses didn´t look well at our culture and traditon. And they did all in their rightfulmind to bring us down, we were made outlaws, hunted and driven out of our homes. War continued to rage for years... In the end we lost and me, my sister and some of my loyal men were betrayed by our own, our families taken, we were sold as slave to an other outlaw ruler or more like falsegod known as Karain. For years we worked in his mines, fought in his arenas, tortured by his sadistic followers, There the name really took color.I was good, no great and I did anything to survive. Gladiator, Beserker, that was what I was. One day I got a chance to get out... And I took it. Brought me here, to this land. Lost my strength, lost my memory, lost my mind. Keliiim sat down again, quiet. Just looking into his mug of mead. Edited June 1, 2015 by Mencot Quote
bionicle_fanatic Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Karl listened with growing respect for Keliim. It must have been rough to have been in such a high and noble position, then for it all to come crashing down. "Gosh... Would... would there be any way of helping to restore your tribe?" He swirled the remains of his drink in it's mug, contemplating grabbing another. But the slightly light-headed sensation he was feeling was fair warning to him that enough was enough. Regretfully, he slid the vessel into the centre of the table and sat back in his chair, for once truly at home. Quote

Keliim raised his head from the mead, looked at the rouge and frowned his forehead and raised one eyebrow. Karl looked at the barbarian, what was he going to do? But the so serious barbarians face changed into smrik and Keliim let out a load laughter. You do seem like a good guy Karl. And he tapped Karl on the shoulder and took a drink of his mead.
