De'kra noticed a new quest had been put on the board. The shade glanced at the board and signed. He didn't really need water or food, but that desert's sunlight would torment him. The light mocks him, teases him. It would drive De'kra mad. Quest 8 was to be avoided at all cost.

Then he sits down at a table to watch listen and learn, there was a Shade around who he would be very interested in meeting.

An dark skinned man with a scruffy, brown beard walks into the hall. He is wearing a white turban and walks to the quest board, looking at quest 8. He pulls out a scroll of papyrus and starts marking down some writing. He finishes and walks out, toward the harbor. He could be the contact.

De'kra could see that light was fading, and that meant that the stars might be out. As he glanced at the sky light he saw a single star. As soon as his eyes touched the star his demeaner changed, and he raced into a corner, one where the starlight never seemed to hit. The shade muttered something in an alien dialect, before entering his bedroll. While the shade went to sleep, did the observing Amorith notice his sudden outburst at a star's appearance?

OOC: I envision the hall featuring a skylight, to provide natural lighting during the day.

Watching De'Kra Closely, Amorith noticed that he seemed to have an aversion to light. As far as he knew light had no effect on shades so he wondered what was different here. Maybe some traumatic event in this poor souls past caused him to fear light?

After pondering De'Kra's curious condition for a few hours, Amorith decided to research the many different races that reside in Eubric Port.

[Tanma]

De'kra awoke, and gazed at the morning. The dreadful stars were gone, though the sun was starting to climb. Only on clouded days was De'kra safe, or if only the moon was out. He had nothing against the moon, it was only a half-light, a reflection. Like him it was just an echo. De'kra glanced at the quest board, only to find that Quest 4's heroes hadn't been named yet. And thus the long wait began.

De'kra glanced back at the quest board, which still was not updated. The wait was a little trying, as hours seemed to slip by. But he had time, it wasn't like the shade had to drying to do today.

After having observed De'Kra's behaviour for some time, Amorith decided to talk to him. He walked up to the diminutive shade and said

Hello, my name is Amorith Marvelo, I have been interested in the nature of shades for quite some time now and you are a rarity amongst shades. I was wondering if you could tell me about your earliest memory. I would also like to help you to find out about your identity before you became who you are now.

[Tanma]

De'kra faced the Mage and clicked, "I not real shade, just what I call I. I echo of I; I shadow. I call I shade because of it. But first memories of two languages, home tongue and secondary tongue, also distrust of light. All light make I pained, but not physically. Light mock I, how it feels. But stars worst. Stars make I feel extreme not-like, like stars not-truth tellers, but also worse. Like stars make I sleep forever. I not feel stronger in dark, but emotions more stable there."

Benji signs up for Quests 4,6,7,&8. (He already signed up for 4 & 7 earlier but signed his name again just to make sure.)

De'kra waited for the Mage to reply, all the while peering over to the quest board. As of yet the chosen had not been revealed, but it shouldn't be too long. Either way, the shade could only wait until he received a response from one or both of the situations.

Haldor walked back into the hall, he had slept better recently and was in good spirits. He hoped to be able to see Jess again today. While entering the hall he noticed that he and Jess were becoming a subject of conversation and he even heard De'kra comparing them to chickens!

But it was embarassing that people had noticed his infatuation (someone must have intercepted the letter! ). He didn't want to be mocked but he would bear it if he could see Jess. Haldor orders a drink and goes over to talk to his friend De'kra, trying to not bring up the subject of his behavior last night.

"Hello De'kra! How are you feeling today?"

"Better sign up for quest 8 as well didn´t got picked for quest 5,hope I get luckier and get picked to one of the other"

De'kra continued to wait, when he noticed the sick human from before approach him. "Greetings, I fine, sleep always make I nostalgic, but I never remember dreams. You feel better? Current I wait for chosen questers to chosen, good for I to go on quest. Might help I learn more of Eubric, in experience. Any quests you sign-up for?"

"Feel better? I was never ill but I asume you are refering to my behavior last night. That's not ilness, far from it, I was acting differently because I was trying to impress Jess (Because I love her ). But thanks for the concern anyway.

I've signed up for quest 4 and I do hope I am picked, It would be a great oppurtunity to prove myself to Jess. "

De'kra shrugged and clicked, "Not understand roam-ant-icism concept, I think I race no have it emotion. I also sign-up for quest four, something about title click in head. Lion word for big cat eat meat right? Big cats hear familiar."

"Yes, the lion is a rare animal that lives in prides and can be very vicious. I hope if I am picked that there will be some action, I need to hone my skills and would love to be able to tell Jess my stories. I wish her luck in her quest too, but I bet she's just as strong and brave as she is beautiful.
