March 27, 20159 yr Karie takes a swig of wine, shaking her head back and forth trying to formulate what to respond with. "I've been called a lot of things. How true any of them are is debatable, but most people I meet call me Karie." Karie notices Calamity's staff. "Is... that an actual skull, or is it a replica?"

Now then, I hope you don't mind me asking what kind of ritual this was and what it entailed?" Calamity... go figure. What's her mother's name, Pestilence? She thought to herself.

March 28, 20159 yr Author Having spent a long time away from Heroica, honing her newly gained skills in alchemy at the Invision Guildhouse, Ellaria returned to the Hall in her laboratory coat. Brewing potions had been lucrative, but she needed some time away from the dusty, enclosed labs of the Guild. She also wanted to test her skills in battle against the evils of the world, which was something she was surprised to realize she had missed. A quick glance on the Quest Board made it clear there were currently only a few options to do so, thus Ellaria signed into both Quest#132 and the Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory. She then saw one of the Veterans, the Dragonlord, coming down the stairs with a noble-looking fairy. Something in the fairy's presence made her freeze and stare. "Once again, I must apologize for any damage she did in her rummage around the city." "Bah! Don't mention it, Prime Minister. She did nothing aside from charming some alley cats. Our heroes happened to run into her just as she was about to screw up the mind of a young lass, and got the victim out of the bind. We later found her in that same alleyway. She put up a heck of a fight, I must tell you!" "I apologize for that, then. She is among her kin now, and we will do our everything to get Rosier's poison out of her." The fairy then noticed Ellaria staring at them. "Is everything alright, Miss?" "Umm..." Ellaria was lost at words. She suddenly had a jarring headache, as if something was trying to break through her brains. "This is Miss Arbour, one of our healers. She has been with Heroica for over three years now, if I remember right." "Pleased to meet you, Ellaria. I am Prime Minister Euflear of the Seelie Court, but around here everyone knows me as the Fey One." The fairy's eyes twinkled. Ellaria felt like choking. "The Fey One...?!" "Yes, the very same. It has been centuries since I last visited this Hall. It hasn't changed much at all - the Saloon keeper makes better food than the ones we had in my day, though. Well, I have to bid my farewell now. My granddaughter Hope is waiting for me to bring her souvenirs from this dimensions." The fairy nodded to the Dragonlord and Ellaria, and glided out of the Hall with supernatural lightness in his (or her) step. Ellaria felt dizzy. "Hope..." she whispered. The Veteran looked at her in dismay. "What's the matter with you, fawning over the Fey One like a fangirl at a Carly Swift concert? Show some manners in the future when representing our organization, Miss Arbour." Ellaria mumbled an apology and walked out of the Hall, still dazed. It wasn't until that night that she realized that the Fey One had called her by her first name, even though the Dragonlord had never mentioned it...
March 28, 20159 yr "Well, they were certainly right about otherworldly beauty." Tesni chuckled from her seat. Blonde really was such an attractive hair colour after all. Though it probably was not the done thing to flirt with a living legend. The Dragonlord wouldn't have liked it for a start if fangirling was out of the question even.

March 30, 20159 yr OOC: Good to be back. :) (Cryos) Muradin Falstad 47 year old male dwarf Level 1 Barbarian Health: 8/8 Power: 4 Gold: 10 Equipment: Granite Club (WP:3), Inventory: Potion, Mead Introduction The wooden doors scream as they are swung open, the mechanisms creating a resounding thud as the cool winds sweep over the room. A rather short, stocky figure made its way through as the entrance shut behind him. The hall was warm with inhabitants, the dwarf's broad shoulders relaxed with a sense of ease. The 'clinks and 'tinks of mead slammed against a table, the hearty laughs and the casual conversations. The cast iron dwarf's burly hands reached up for his helmet, horned and dented with an aura of rugged royalty, sliding it off placing it under his arm. Revealing a face bronze in tone sporting strong features and a hearty display of facial hair. A scar drew a line starting from his temple crossing into a milky eye. His functional one darting across the room, a snort escaping his nose, "So dis is de deadly 'eroica 'all, aye...?" 'he mumbled under his strong accent to himself and the faceless waistlines weaving in and out of his line of sight. He shouldered his way through the bodies, a taller bystander might only know his presence by disgruntled mumbles rippling through the atrium as they are pushed by a little man. His big nose leading him to the mead, climbing atop of a chair he sat at a counter where a well endowed woman that was easy to look at greeted him, the dwarf's demeanor had no choice but became more pleasant when faced with bosoms and beer. They exchanged words and he had asked for the strongest drink they had. The waitress' face lit up and she disappeared behind a door, presumably to retrieve the drink. His uppity mannerism disappeared also, as his brain began rummaging memories of his time before now. His brow lowered in thought, the room bustling around him. His arm crossed his chest as he reached for his neck removing a tattered cape, an indistinguishable crest cast along it. A mumble escaped his beard. "...Orrik protect dohs bastards." His eye perked up when he saw the waitress return with a mug too full for its own good, she hammered it on the table with a smile. A deep laugh began rumbling in the dwarf's throat, at the pitiful joke that was this mead. The waitress had already moved to help a group of heroes to their own serving as the dwarf pressed the weak drink to his beard. Any thoughts that were disturbing him had been washed down. In a clean swig and a healthy thud he brought the empty mug crashing down, for he was only getting started. "Another!" Edited March 30, 20159 yr by Cryos
March 30, 20159 yr On 3/28/2015 at 3:23 AM, Lord Duvors said: "..." "I'm leaving now." Karie snags the dwarf by the collar, trying to get him to stay. "Excuse him, Calamity, he can be... um, rude. If you don't mind, I'm going to take him off to discipline, I want you to stay here and mingle with everyone else, kay?" Karie budges out of her seat and drags the dwarf off to the downstairs of the hall, passing a beehived woman and one of the veterans talking to a winged woman. Karie gave little mind to it and dragged the dwarf into a broom closet where she snuck in too. It was cramped and dark, with the only light coming through a few slits in the door. Karie let go of the dwarf and rubbed her head, looking worried. "What the hell do we do? A demon worshipper? Here?" She asked the dwarf in a hushed, yet still loud tone.
March 30, 20159 yr "Apparently, but can we please discuss this somewhere else? Somebody must have seen us come in here and I really don't want anyone to jump to the wrong confusion or anything." he said, with a little nervous laugh.

Somebody must have seen us come in here and I really don't want anyone to jump to the wrong confusion or anything." he said, with a little nervous laugh. "Seriously, we have a demon worshipper on our hands, and you're worried about the implications of us being in a broom closet together? I mean, what am I going to do to you with this much space, or vice versa? That and I'm pregnant!" Karie exclaimed sharply, pointing to her belly. She tried tapping her foot, but there was barely any room. She ran her hand through her hair, exhaling. "Okay, do you know someone named Monk Pretzel?"
March 30, 20159 yr "Sorry, and no, I'm sorry to say I don't. However I do know a Father Josiah McCreary, he might be able to help, maybe."
March 30, 20159 yr Still loitering on the lower level, En Sabah Nur saw the dwarf he'd last quested with being manhandled into the closet. He tip-toed to the door. March 30, 20159 yr The door suddenly flew open, smacking Nur in the back of the head. A face emerged and peered around for a moment before retreating and closing the door with it. "That's funny, I could've sworn I heard someone."

"Is he-" Karie watches the dwarf smash the door open, only for Throlar to close it again. "As I was saying, does he have any idea on how to deal with demons, or demon worshippers?"
March 30, 20159 yr "Not certain, but he does have some experience with undead, and he used to be a paladin, emphasis on 'used', it's a painful subject and I really wouldn't discuss it with him unless it was necessary."
March 30, 20159 yr Calamity smiles as her conversational partner leaves to manhandle a dwarf into a broom closet. It were the small things, like that same dwarf knocking a random bystander purposefully in the head with a door, and a waitress, giving yet another dwarf a different drink than the one he asked for, but Calamity was sure she knew what those small acts represented. "Will I finally able to fulfill my lifelong dream here? Perhaps that merchant I sacrificed to open that portal here did not die in vain."

What appears to be Nur being hit with a door is actually his body double Alfred stepping in to protect his master. Nur looks back from the stairwell. "Alfred, sign us up for that other quest while you're over there." The golem does as he's told and signs Nur up for Quest#132: The Clans Under the Mountain
