Lind Whisperer Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 He gets up and goes to the questboard but as walks over there he bumps into the black knight that stands by a table with a mixed squad of people. The Munchkin spills some of his drink on the table and the big ogre sitting a the table. "I humbly apologies for knocking into thou and making thou spill thy drinketh! I will geteth thou a new one after I hast look'd the questboard. What do thou drinketh?" The Munchkin shrugged. "Eh, we all have our more clumsy days. Just water, thank you." Lind pulled a handkerchief out of his pocket, and dabbed at the water that had spilled onto the ogre. "There, that should take care of that." Unknowingly approaching the group which Karie was apart of, the new assassin spoke up..."Excuse me Ladies and Gentlemen is there a Karie here who I could speak to about going to the Fields of Glory?" "Ah, Master Darksten! We meet again." The Black Knight nodded towards Karie. "That's her, the witch with all of the face paint." Quote

Scubacarrot Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 "Absolutely and just malevolently perfect!" Calamity exclaims as she notices the new quest, and she signs up for Quest #133. Quote
StickFig Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Matthias signs up for Quest #133, orders another cider, and goes back to his lonely table. Quote
Kintobor Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Thinking that he better start throwing his name onto every quest because he had been passed over one to many times for his liking, he turned to search for Karie. Not knowing who Karie was however, he was left scanning the room, finally deciding that the cluster of heroes was probably where he needed to go. Unknowingly approaching the group which Karie was apart of, the new assassin spoke up... "Excuse me Ladies and Gentlemen is there a Karie here who I could speak to about going to the Fields of Glory?" "That would be me!" Karie responds, gleefully, pointing at herself. "My name is Karie, and our current team consists of our necromancer, Althior, our mystic knight, Purpearl, and our hunter, Skrall. So, who are you, and what do you, sir...?" Karie motioned to the man standing in front of her in a theatric manner, rolling her hands in a circular motion before pointing at the man with a curious grin. Quote
StickFig Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 On his way back to the corner table, Matthias overhears Karie's outburst. Doffing his topper, the gnome makes a slight bow, cider in hand. "Might a Druid be of use?" Quote

StickFig Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 (edited) "Ahhh yes, 'Grey Foxer,'" Matthias says sarcastically. "Are you signing up with this crew as well? Not many sheep to hide behind in the Fields of Glory, as I'm sure you remember." The gnome's chest does swell a little as the Black Knight extols Matthias' healing and hand-cannoning prowess. Not many sheep to hide behind in the Fields of Glory, as I'm sure you remember." "I was dodging at the command of the Dodekube. And even when I was forced to dodge, I was still absorbing free punches that could have easily knocked you or the battle mage out.No, I've already been through the fields twice before, so I've decided to wait until other options present themselves. That one quest by that Kalif sounds interesting, but it also sounds as if he would prefer slightly less experienced heroes - probably one of those cases where they want to make sure the heroes will draw as little attention as possible." Quote
StickFig Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 "Ah yes, the mysterious Dodekube...." The gnome trails off and turns his attention back to Karie, slightly more excited to know that Whisperer would not be signing up. Quote

"Don't see too many Handcannon's around these days, especially in the hands of a druid," Althior looks to Karie, "We can't really have too many healers, can we? He should also be able to pack enough of a punch, so to say," He turns back to the Gnome. "What's your name, kid?" Quote

StickFig Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Top hat in one hand and cider flagon in the other, both appearing huge next to his tiny body, Matthias makes another small bow. "I'm called Matthias. And each of you are?" Quote
K-Nut Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 "Like she said, my name is Althior Emorith, Necromancer. That looks like a unique piece of hardware you've got there, Matthias." He inspects the handcannon "Where could one get a piece of such, high quality?" Quote
StickFig Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 "The Fireball Extraordinaire was a gift, from a wonderful troupe of creatures in the Low Kingdoms. I served alongside them and a few other Heroes in Baltarok. It's old, but I recently had it restored." Quote
K-Nut Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 (edited) "It is but one of a few tales I have heard from Baltarok. Who performed the restoration? It is truly masterful..." StickFig Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 (edited) "One Nicole Tesla, of the Tritech Corporation, did the work for me, Master Althior." The gnome excuses himself briefly to sign up for the Fields of Glory, then takes a seat nearby, setting the Extraordinaire down as a foot rest and climbing over it into the chair. "Pardon my impertinence," the gnome remarks, "but I'm intrigued. The last two necromancers with whom I worked were not in the habit of announcing their occupation. It does seem rather a distasteful business to me; my people believe it is best to purify the dead with fire, that Orrik might make our metal into something new." Comrade Commander Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 "Ah, Master Darksten! We meet again." The Black Knight nodded towards Karie. "That's her, the witch with all of the face paint." "Ah yes... Uh hello there" Darksten replies to the Munchkin, wishing he had seen him prior to walking over. The thought of another trip to the fields with the 'man' gave the assassin reason to pause. But Darksten needed to keep busy, and this was one of the few options available. "Thanks!" "That would be me!" Karie responds, gleefully, pointing at herself. "Pleasure to meet you Ma'am" Darksten replies with a bit of a bow, hoping the added honor didn't just insult the fellow hero "My name is Daksten, I am a Ranger by trade having grown up in the forests. However, the Copper Fox has just helped me hone my skills and I am looking to practice my refined power as an assassin. I admit that the hunter and I probably share many traits, but I could still compliment your team by bringing a lethal barrage of arrows. I have plenty, and would not have to stop to be retrieve them" the assassin finishes with a sideward glance towards his previous quest mate, remembering his last trip to the fields Quote
StickFig Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Matthias notes the newcomer's distasteful looks towards Whisperer and says under his breath, "It's a relief; the 'Grey Foxer' said to me that he's not signing up for this trip to the Fields." Quote

The Black Knight's voice was laced with dripping sarcasm. He was more than willing to forget that it had been Darksten's continued waking of the Bugbears that had gotten that first Field's party knocked out, but if Darksten was going to make jibes at the Munchkin's weapons of choice when it was Darksten's fault that they had utterly failed, well, that crossed a line in the Munchkin's book.
