"Do the math," I say, not even looking up, "2 Remedies would be 17 Gold. 3 Remedies and a Shuriken would come to 51. And you can have the sword for free, but I'd take the Diamond out first."

OK, I will take 3 Remedies and a Shuriken. You said for 51 gold and if you want to give me "modified sword" I will not say no to that. So do I give you the gold now or wait after you gotten the stuff for me?

"Yes, I have a level up mushroom for you. Here, take it."

OK, wait a second. Then he pulls out a piece of paper and reads it. It looks like I am supposed to give you this "Darker Etheral Deck (WP:7; throwing weapon)". Then trades the weapon for the mushroom.

"Damn. I mean, drat. 75 gold then."

"Hmm...I just recalled that they sell petrification-protecting artifacts at Fabian's. Perhaps I won't buy for now," I say, wondering if the half-elf will go down much further or not.

Sorry to interrupt. I do have a question, how much more would it be if I add another weapon from the marketplace? And about the weapon I asked bout earlier. I think I change my mind about it you can just keep it.

Annienal stares blankly at Vindsval, looking nervous. She stares at him blankly for a few moments.

"I sold it." She replies bluntly, looking up at her half ogre friend.

It would seem so. The appears to be a great deal of selling going on. And he looks at "Flynn Whisperer," and whatever it is that man? is doing? The hall has gotten very busy all of a sudden.

A man wearing a decorated robe enters the Hall, this time holding a parchment. He revisits the sign-up sheet and ponders over the current sign-ups, each name at a time.

Finally he spoke,

18611266988_9220e00d03_o.jpg

"The Prospector speaking. Ahem. I would like the company of the following esteemed Heroes for Quest #136..."

Chosen Heroes for Quest #136: The Sorcerer's Stone

- Mhinak, Level 4 Ranger (Goliath)

- Naím Thamir, Level 4 Cleric (Enceladus)

- The Demon Germ, Level 8 Rogue (Samuraiturtle)

- Bobby "Young" Bucks Jr., Level 10.5 Rogue (Zepher)

- Miderun, Level 13 Barbarian (CallMePie) *Party Leader*

- Kiray Nastayo, Level 16 Black Knight (KingoftheZempk)

He pins the parchment onto the Board and leaves the Hall.

The parchment reads,

Please make your way to the clearing just south-east of Crescent Hill, where the river meets the sea. Have a good rest tonight and we shall reconvene four hours after midday, tomorrow.

OOC: Thank you for your patience. Feel free to finish up any purchases and update your stats. I'll get the thread up shortly.

Kiray sees her name on the list. She removes her names from Quests 137 and 135. "Go ahead, Monk, though I need to leave quickly."

After his response (if there is one), Kiray goes to Nerwen. "I can give you half of what I owe you now for the sword. I need to spend some in the market for the next quest I am on but when I retrun I should be able to pay you back the rest." She gives Nerwen 150 gold.

"70? And if you want to haggle, monk, then haggle."

"It's probably suited for lower-leveled heroes." I shrug. "The SP is useless to me, and I can buy a petrification-preventing artifact for 30 gold at the marketplace. I can do maybe 40."

"Of course, go right ahead."

"When we struck down Simon, there was something that made me believe he was not yet dead. If you had felt the same, would you have told Yu Shu to ensure his death? Would you have told Nerwen? Would you have lingered behind to care for him? Sometimes what seems right for the world, seems wrong morally."

Annienal moves away from Lind, having made her point.

"H'Annie!" called Miderun from across the saloon, very nearly knocking over the empty flagon on her table as she lurched out of her seat and walked over to the elf, her admirers, other buyers...and Bobby.

"You look...good, different, with the armor and the....shinier...armor. I need this spear, okay? I want-...I need this spear, okay? I think...I can dish out some major hurt with this. Right? Later, I mean," she added, shaking her head, still rather intoxicated. "70 gold okay? That still how it works here? With the stupid little...the gold...stuff?"

"Miderun, you're... drunk." Annienal replied, sounding somewhat disappointed and shocked. She was hoping have some meaningful discussion with her friend, but it could wait until she sobered up. She holds out the throwing spear to Miderun. "If you want the spear I can take 70 gold for it, if, um, that's okay with you?"

The Munchkin frowned and reached into his Bag of Holding, pulling out a little corked vial filled with some sort of orange liquid, which he then tossed towards the she-orc.

"Zat...That might help the, eh, ground, quit wobbling.

"Um... sorry. I got a nice sword and shield out of the deal, though." She holds up her new shield and undead slaying sword. She looks over at "Flynn". "Oh, it's just Lind being unknowingly offensive." She replies, sounding somewhat angry. She lowers her voice as he approaches. "He thinks he's in disguise, but elves generally don't grow moustaches, you see. Unless you have some amount of human blood in you. Like, um, Warlen over there." She points at him with two fingers.

"Say, um Vindsval, do you have any need for any of these? I'm trying to avoid, um, hoarding weapons, and I thought maybe you could use one. Just make an offer if you're interested." She showed off her two weapons.

-Sanctified Rito Longsword (WP: 4, Hits doubled against flying enemies, longsword)

-Throwing Knife (WP: 3, throwing weapon)

OoC: Just for reference, Lind pulled off his mustache several posts back.

The elf, I mean, Munchkin, ripped the fake mustache off of his upper lip.

Miderun drops a pouch of 70 gold (probably counted out before she started drinking) into her hand and takes the javelin.

"S'not as bad's it looks, I feel good. Great! We'll talk later. I mean, in a few...a few weeks. I have to go lead a...a thing." Miderun looked confused for a moment as though unsure what she was to be leading. "But I'll be back. Later. After the..sourcing stone. Enjoy your Zar dal Vohl. Or...don't. Actually, yeah, no, really don't. That'd be the worst." The orc gave Annie and Vindsval a short wave before managing to find her way out of the hall.

Seeing the prospector enter the hall, Na'im gets up and makes ready to leave, but makes his way over to monk pretezel before he dose so "So how is my shopping getting along my dear monk? I should be getting ready to leave soon." he says glancing at the other heroes for the quest filing out of the door ot the hall

OOC:Palathadric, I don't know if you noticed with all the post flying around, but Na'im made some purchasing requests (under the 15% discount Pretezel was offering) a few posts back-would it be ok if you could make them before I leave for quest 136?

In spite of this Na'im pulls out a sheet of parchment and an elagent quill and begins writing down a list. At last he finishes and finds Pretezel "You must be monk Pretezel I presume?" Na'im says with a small bow "I have a few items here I require. I'll need them within the next few days if you don't mind, for I may be leaving on a quest sometime soon. Many thanks master Pretezel." Na'im says with a final bow and returns to find Mihnak, leaving Pretzel with 97 gold with which to make the purchases. The items were:

1 Phoenix essence

3 tonics

1 remedy

1 shovel

I hand the bought items over.

Na'im scoffs "Now really, It's only one gold piece master monk. And I must say you seem to be doing perfectly good buisness anyway, with all the customers you are getting." nonetheless, Na'im flicks the artisan the last gold piece "Pleasure doing buiness with you master Pretzel" Na'im say accpeting his supplies, and sets off into the open world again, this time more prepared and experienced than before....

I give them an 85% discount and they still try to weasel whatever else they can out of me. I think, then shrug, ...life.

Warlen intercepted Germ on the way out.

"Would you be interested in selling your scroll?"

More than I could have offered you, but it is a disappointment. I appreciate your offer of the weaponry, but I believe in that regard I am well equipped. Verkenner and my Bifrost blades will serve my needs well for the foreseeable future. He pats the new shining mail beneath his black cloak. It is armor that I am in search of.

I have spoken to the one called Lind only briefly in the past, but I do not remember him being a student of disguise. A strange path he must have walked to bring such a change over him. Was he always like that?

"Right."

Throlar, glad the transaction was finished, headed for the marketplace.
