Endgame Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 (edited) "Well, he's a dragon, right? No duh. I've done some stupid stuff, but even I'm not naive enough to fight a dragon on my own." Karie shrugs. "Ah, you know, I just feel like I've seen you before somewhere. Probably just my eyes playing tricks on me." "You'd be surprised who thinks they can. Most end up in a situation that's less than desirable. ...Not likely. I know of one person who may look like me, but I was under the impression he died a while ago." The Chosen Minifigure Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Joining in on the conversation, Warlen remarked: "I've fought 4 dragons, and defeated 3. The one I didn't was when I was by myself. Long story short, I've learned that large teams are needed to fight Dragons." Quote

Kintobor Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 "If memory serves, his name was Masson." Karie nods her head and orders herself a drink. "Hmm. Well, maybe I have been seeing things." Karie responds. She felt like keeping personal stuff out of this conversation with a complete stranger. Quote

Decided it was best not to leave any evidence of his presence and left. So, yes, you probably have been seeing things. " Edited July 1, 2015 by Endgame Quote
Kintobor Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Karie finishes her drink surprisingly quick, trying to avoid emotions. This guy was weird. "I see. So what brings you here? Besides a dragon?" Quote
Endgame Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 (edited) "If you mean to Eubric, then that's really it. If you mean this Hall specifically: Drinks. The Chosen Minifigure Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 After Sandman mentioned drinks, Warlen took a sip at his own concoction, identical to the strangers, which he had been curious to try. His head reeled to and fro, unable to cope with the sheer alcohol. He discreetly slid the drink away from him, acting as if it wasn't his. Quote

That's why I'm fine unmasking but choose to use an alias - it's even why I picked up the alias in the first place. Kintobor Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 "...You wanted to know if my name matched with the person you're thinking of, didn't you." Karie shrugs, mainly from amusement. "Perhaps. Although, I can understand the desire to keep a name and a face separate. I'm going to assume your occupation is a rather "hands on" one?" Quote

JimBee Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 The doors to Heroica Hall opened, letting a soft summer breeze in. To almost everyone present it would seem a new face had joined the ranks, but in fact the figure entering was an old member returning from years after leaving the organization. An event had struck Heroica to its very core, and all of its members of the time vanished, either by choice or death. The doors slammed shut behind the visitor. An elf with pale skin stepped forward, taking long strides across the entryway. She moved with grace, and her tall and slender form seemed to glide across the floor. She was clad in blue clothes over glimmering silver chain mail armor, which clinked softly with every step. One perfectly manicured hand held a round shield, while the other rested gently on the pommel of a sheathed blade. Flowing chestnut hair reached halfway down her back and hung loosely over her shoulders and in front of her pointed ears. From afar she seemed to have the physical traits typical of most elves, though her pallid skin tone revealed that she was from the island of Moone. However, anyone looking closely at her face would notice sharp, angular cheeks and jaws, light freckles below her impossibly dark brown eyes, and most importantly, pursed lips and slightly raised eyebrows that indicated a slight annoyance with her environment. Jinnipher Buchaire made her way to the saloon, where she took a seat and set down her shield. She took a moment to look around the Hall, and crinkled her nose at the sight. "Hmph. They'll let just about anyone in here these days. Guess they have to after recruitment went down after..." she trailed off and turned towards the bar. The orcish barmaid was cleaning glasses while inspecting the newcomer. "Hello Scheherezade, did you miss me? Not much has changed around here, has it? Same old wannabe-warriors trying to save the world?" "Heh? Do I know you?" "I suppose it's been a long time. Never mind, I'll have a mead." Jinnipher grumbled something under her breath. "Now who's here to stop the Nephilim from walking in? Nothing's changed at all." She grumpily drank from her mug. Quote
Flipz Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Althior makes his way down the streets of Eubric. He alternates between walking forward and looking down to the slip of paper Regulus slipped him. After a while of trekking the winding streets, he finally arrives at his destination. He knocks on the door. "Come on Regulus! I've got places to be!" A series of thumps followed by a high-pitched yowl rings through the house, accompanied by the sound of a violin being thrown against a wall. About a minute later, a bleary-eyed Arthur opens the door, a snickering Noel hovering--literally--behind him. "Cannih helb yuu?" he asks, not immediately recognizing Althior. Just then a plate and a set of cutlery run out from between the Dragoon's legs, making their way to the street. Arthur swears, managing to grab the knife and fork, but the dish runs away with the spoon. A little dog, out for a walk with its owner, begins yipping in amusement as it spots the situation. Arthur groans. "Criminal syndicates, world-conquering demons, and three entire armies, and in the end it's dinnerware that finally outmatches me," he mutters, violently slamming the cutlery against the doorframe until it stops struggling. "Oh, hey Althior! Come in, come in, I just need to put these back before they wake up." Noel shakes his head. "Smooth, bro." "You want to help out and grab the other two? Mom's going to kill you if we end up with a repeat of the cow-on-moon incident." Noel opens his mouth as if to reply, but thinks better of it and dashes out into the streets. As Athior enters the dining room, still dominated by the overlarge dining table occupying most of the storage space, Arthur emerges from the family's kitchen. "Sorry about that. Noel must have been practicing his spellwork in here again. I should know better than to come downstairs half-asleep. Anyway, how can I help you this morning?" Quote
K-Nut Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Althior chuckles as he inches past Noel. "I thought living with your family was supposed to be relieving, kid." he tosses a Bright Polish and Unlucky Horseshoe to Arthur. "Karie gave me these to give to you. There's a slew of new jobs at the hall starting soon, so I figured I'd stop here while I have the time," he also passes his Medal of Glory to Arthur. "This is for Hybros. I'll send him over here to pick it up, and I'll collect his payment when I get back," He leans up against the counter. "Now that business is out of the way, how's the family life treating you? It seems a bit, well," he looks around, "hectic to me. I've done so much wandering, I don't now what it's like to settle down," Quote
Comrade Commander Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Darksten walked into the hall, ignoring the quest board for once, and scanned the room's occupants. Once he ID'd his party leader from the fields he walked up to her, hoping to make a quick profit. "Excuse me Ma'am. I saw you eying my guitar when we were at the fields. Perhaps I could interest you in making a deal? For 650 gold I will give you the guitar and even throw in this song if you want..." Quote

"Thank you kindly! And thank you for your assistance in the field, Darksten. It was noticed and appreciated." Quote
