Kheyli turns back around, clearly surprised at the Yetis response. "Nice ears," she responds, aptly. "Nothing to concern yourself with Master Yeti. Just talking to myself..."

Avalanche briefly turns when he hears her reply, but doesn't answer. He wonders if anyone else will sign up for the Fields of Glory party.

Avalanche decides to break the silence, and since he is slightly disturbed by the giant mouth, asks with absolutely no tact whatsoever, "Excuse me, sir, what is that on your chest?"

Torald gulps down a pint of ale. He decides not to say anything but just to watch. Maybe the wizard shows off his magic. He orders another pint.

Ezeran smiles at the vampire before the emerald in his staff begins to glow in an eerie green colour, a green tint in Ezeran eyes appears quickly as roots starts to climb the stool the vampire occupies and snares him for an instant before withering away. "Forgot your manners at home pale one?" Ezeran asks promptly before looking towards the yeti "It's a demonic symbiont, long story." Ezeran orders both of them a beer. "Manners are important my dear gentlemen, that's what keeps us civilized." He nods at Torald.

Boris smiled, clearly displaying his fangs as he shrugged off the withering vines. "Not at all, I used to make a fine living exorcising those things. I've become a bit more tolerant, but Ennoc is not always so."

"And why not put a shirt over it?"

Kheyli lets out a laugh. "Can't say I wasn't thinking the same thing,"

Boris smiled, clearly displaying his fangs as he shrugged off the withering vines. "Not at all, I used to make a fine living exorcising those things. I've become a bit more tolerant, but Ennoc is not always so."

"Wait, you were a Paladin?" she shrugs, hesitating for a moment. "I could see it. Is there any particular reason you gave up the order?" she makes her way over to the vampire's table. "I used to be a hunter myself, and I know it's not the same as being a Paladin, but it was an injury that took me out of the line of duty. I don't see anything like that on you..."

"I used to be a hunter myself, and I know it's not the same as being a Paladin, but it was an injury that took me out of the line of duty. I don't see anything like that on you..."

Boris makes room for Kheyli, "What, the whole white pallor and fangs didn't give it away? Yes, I was a Paladin of sorts, though my time wasn't spent on the battlefield but in the homes and business of this city. After my... turning. The order wasn't too keen of keeping me on, can't say I blame them. It's clearly written in the His teachings 'But ensure that you do not drink the life of another, that is their blood. And neither must you consume it with your meat.' Stanza twelve line twenty three of Fifth Torahal. It's been quite an eye opening experience, I still have the powers of a cleric, but I have not reconciled how Ennoc would still support me." The vampire pauses to take another drink, "And you? Fey are rare in this city, tending to remain in their hidden courts."

Avalanche listened to the vampire's tale, "It must be terrible, being forced into a life where your own order casts you away...." He paused for a moment, "I used to despise your kind, and viewed you all as servants of some anonymous necromancer....When I joined Heroica and actually got to know some others like you, I realised how small-minded and wrong I was." Hearing Ezeran speak, he turned around briefly, "What the heck is a demonic symbiont? I don't recall ever coming across one before..."

"Sorry, I'm not really familiar with the teachings of Ennoc. I really didn't think a god that divine would turn down anyone willing to spread their message, you know? But I guess if it's in the scripture..." she pauses. "It's true that we don't often find ourselves out in this realm, at least not very often. My parents taught me to be a pacifist, so I left our realm years ago. I thought I was escaping the crisis by coming here, but I guess I was wrong. Eventually, I realized being a pacifist doesn't really fly in this world, especially for a fairy." she blushes. "Sorry about the pun. I just mean I'm one of the few of my kind here, so I don't really have anyone to look out for me. I took up hunting out west to try and make a life for myself, but one thing lead to another," she points to her maimed wing. "And I found myself here,"

Ezeran turns towards Avalanche. "Well this is probably the only one in existence. My mother were a mage that took the search for arcane knowledge a bit to far. She struck a deal with a demon, her firstborn in exchange for all the knowledge of their realm. She thought she never would fall in love until she met my father and then she became corrupted after a trip into that cursed realm trying to bargain a deal. The compromise is what you see before you but the price was steep: my mother became corrupted in the process and turned into a demon, killed my father and disappeared." Ezeran goes back to drinking his ale.

Avalanche listens to both stories, "I'm sorry for what you've suffered," he mutters, unsure of what else to say.

Kheyli smiles. "Don't be! Seriously, I took the injury as a higher message that I should broaden my horizons. And what better place to do it than Eubric, the Ever-Changing city in the center of the globe! I mean, just look at us: a fairy, a vampire, a yeti, and a demonic symby-whatever-you-call-it. All at the same table!" she grins.

"You speak from experience? It'd be nice to see this so-called adventure first hand. Sooner than later, I hope,"

The handful gathered in the hall were suddenly greeted by the door opening to a day that had become rather gusty, and a figure struggling to stand up against it.

"Did not...take into account...wind resistance...!!!!"

The figure finally managed to stumble into the Hall and closed the door. He looked around for any vacant seats.

Ezeran sees that a new quest is posted on the creaking boards and eagerly signs up for quest #141.

Torald looks up from his ale and says:"Ezeran, my dear mage, didn't you already sign up for the Fields of Glory?". That being said, he continues drinking.
