A certain black knight returned to the Hall, a tiny silver crescent badge pinned to his gambeson declaring him as now being a member of the Crescent Union.

He strode over to the Quest Board, and tacked up a large poster:

WHISPERER'S WONDERFUL WARES:
heroica-gratingstone.jpgGrating Stone (WP +1 to one weapon upon use.)
Costs 260 gold.
heroica-firstaidkit_zpsa1f5ce9b.jpgFirst Aid Kit (Completely restores health and removes all negative effects for the entire party once when used.)

heroica-librasignet.jpgLibra Signet (This sealing ring bears the secret emblem of the merchant’s guild. The owner can purchase items at a discount (decided by the QM) in any store during a quest. Does not apply to the Marketplace.)

heroica-tritechenhancement.jpgTritech Enhancement (A device that can be attached to any weapon inseparably. The enhanced weapon ignores defense and damages undead.)

After a moment, he added an addendum:

"Never heard of the place." Karie comments, shrugging. "Although, considering someone came in here claiming to be royalty to Heartland, I've heard weirder. Where's this Kalibilpin located, anyhow?

Here, have this candy cane. The Heartland matriarch gave it to me, and I'm none to fond of sweets."

Windus accepts the candy cane and immediately takes a bite out of it. "It's several thousand miles west of Uland.

It'd take you three months just to sail there. And it's pronounced ' Kal-if-lin'."

"Sod it all my good mad, ya must have been in some deep trouble if ya had to run that far to get away. Didn't even know there were folks out there."

"Well, there are. Also, i was exiled, not chased away."

"That's quite an exile, how'd ya land on Eubric out of all places?"

"I sailed east, as far out as i could go. I then landed at Eubric. For a second, i had though i sailed all the way to the other side of Kaliphlin,

but when i asked the locals where i was, they told me i was in the mainland, Eubric."

"Quite a journey then, ya must have hit the Low Land Canal at the right time and avoided bein' sank by the Bonaparte's patrols. Traveled alone then?"

"Yes. They took my wife from me," Windus looks down, "and kicked me onto a longboat and shoved me off." Edited by Windusky

Karie frowned, focusing her attention to her guitar.

"It sucks losing family." She sighs. "Trust me, I know the feeling of never being able to see someone again."

"I suppose." Windus finishes his drink. "Thanks for the stout." he said, exiting the hall.

The Black Knight nodded to Johon, "One moment, please," and turned to the board.

"New work, finally new work...Hrmm...

'

Don't see why you wouldn't be - those things can be rather vicious at times - why, there's even a Decamon card about it."

The Black Knight quickly inked his name onto the sheet.

Lind Whisperer signs up for Quest #142

He squinted at the rest of the text.

"

Party requirements: 3-6 heroes. Having a green thumb will be considered a bonus!

Reward: An emerald for each – they’re good for growing flowers but absolutely useless against plant monsters!

Emerald...Hrmm, not the greatest of reward, but - pay is pay. I wonder if I can get anyone to loan me nineteen gold...I can imbue my Ruby into Star-Breaker, and do some damage.

Green thumb...Well, I mean...I...I guess...There is...I did..."

The Munchkin looked around, to see if anyone else was watching.

"..."

Then he carefully penciled in one last statement below his signature.

Lind Whisperer signs up for Quest #142

Dear Mssr Waldorf:

I indeed can claim some experience with gardening, have served in the role of...

The Munchkin winced...but kept writing.

...manure spreader for the mushroom farm my family ran. Granted, I never achieved the rank of professional gardener in that period, however I did see and accomplish many of the same tasks as I would have, had I graduated to that rank instead of becoming a servant of the Hall.

Yours Truly,

Lind Whisperer

"Indeed. Not the greatest reward, but, well - a reward's a reward, and work's better than sitting around the Hall - at least when business is as slow as it is." The Munchkin frowned. "The only downside I can see is that business will likely be picking up just as I'm leaving..." He shrugged. "Still - always nice to have another gem to embue into one thing or another."

"I am. I also am a doctor. There are certain diseases whose antidote requires an emerald."

"I'm surprised to hear myself saying this, but...that's a new one.

What sorts of diseases? Something involving Rocklings?"

"I've never heard of such a thing. The diseases that use molten emerald are ones that consist of extreme hallucinations."

"Molten emerald!?" The Black Knight raised an eye. "I don't see how you could possibly melt it without destroying...well, I suppose I've seen stranger, but...Hmm.

What sort of hallucinations? I paid a visit to an island recently, that had a certain fog being breathed about it by a dragon, that apparently gave people them - although I didn't personally experience it."

"Hallucinations of the unknown. Some have said they've seen Azazot himself, some have claimed to be seeing everyone in their undergarments."
