Jinnipher flipped her hair back arrogantly. "What kind of present would it be if Gabriel meant to retrieve it on his birthday? Obviously he's going to get it beforehand. Not that I have a problem with Karie not coming along if she has a problem with her brother-in-law."

"Maybe he's just a wicked bad procrasinator? He seem the type?"

The black knight shook his head. "Bit disappointed. And here I was thinking I wasn't just talking to another over-eager, over-confident mage. Silly me."

"Listen... I, uh, don't dislike ya... But you're always a bit contrary, Lind."

"Ever been in a desert, or along the coast in a real bad storm?"

Jinnipher rubbed her temple and sighed. "That's not my point. Whatever. So long as I don't have to clean up any of your messes, do what you want."

"Maybe he's just a wicked bad procrasinator? He seem the type?"

"No."

With that, Jinnipher signs up for Quest #143.

"Also..." Lind squinted at the board, and laughed. "You probably won't be signed because of the part where you haven't signed.

I hadn't signed yet, because I'm picky, but you-" He kept laughing, as he signed up for #143. "-you're talking as if you were going to be picked for sure, when you haven't even signed up."

Lind Whisperer signs up for #143

Note to QM: I should be definitely available for the first three weeks, hopefully for all four, at the very least I will make certain that battle actions are posted, one way or another, for the entire quest.

"Comes with being a Munchkin."

With that, Jinnipher signs up for Quest #143.

"Welcome to the crew.""Well, sort of welcome...You know what I mean."

"The he probably has some reason or another. You seem to respect him enough." I shrug.

"He probably does. Gabriel's a good man - good stuff to him"
OoC: Because I forgot to bold it the first time...:

Lind Whisperer signs up for #143.

"So you really do have a husband outside of Heroica? Must certainly be awkward for family members to pay for services..." I shake my head.

Karie raises an eyebrow. "What do you mean by that? Somebody told you about my husband?" Karie asks inquisitively.

"I got no issue with Gabriel. I just feel like some people else might enjoy his company more than me." Karie winks before returning to her discussion with Pretzel.

Karie raises an eyebrow. "What do you mean by that? Somebody told you about my husband?" Karie asks inquisitively.

"It wasn't me that told him, but if I remember, from the state of your stomach - back around the time we first met - it was pretty obvious that you were in at least some sort of a relationship.

How'd that go, anyways? Boy or girl?"

"I got no issue with Gabriel. I just feel like some people else might enjoy his company more than me." Karie winks before returning to her discussion with Pretzel.

"He wasn't that taken with Jinnipher." Edited by Lind Whisperer

"Yes, and a pretty good one, too.

Any reason why you ask?"

"I just, uh, put two and two together about the "friend" of Jinnipher's you were telling me about and Mr. Cour..."

"I just, uh, put two and two together about the "friend" of Jinnipher's you were telling me about and Mr. Cour..."

"Good deduction."

Lind leaned back, and surveyed the board.

Jinnipher pointedly ignores the comments about Gabriel and her and settled for yet another mead. By now she was past tipsy and felt content to quietly rub her temple in a chair by the fire.

A man with brown hair and a seemingly permanent scowl strides into the Hall. He takes a look at the quest slip he left on the board...

"Excellent."

Lind stood up, and waved his hands for attention. "Attention! Whisperer's Wonderful Wares will be closing very shortly. If you want Crescent Union wares, at a guaranteed low mark-up, you better buy now.

Also, could anyone loan me 20 gold?"

OoC: Swift Boots. I've got 31 gold, and Pretzel's discount brings them down to 51 gold.

"Arrgg. Fine."

Lind hands a Remedy, a Mead, three Potions, and 31 gold to Monk Pretzel.

"Sell 'em in the Marketplace, and use the money to buy a pair of Swift Boots. 15 percent discount, I believe you said, so this should just cover it, with one gold over."

OoC: 10/2 = 5 gold, 20/2 = 10 gold, (15 gold), 5/2 = 2 gold, x3 = 21 gold.

Karie took in a deep breath. She grabbed her things and decided to head home. She was missing being home, and with her husband's birthday, there were some things to arrange. Karie leaves the hall, wrapping herself in her coat, hoping to see her daughter and husband before the winter winds picked up.

A rustling came from a large newspaper hiding a person at the end of the bar, sitting alone. Flipping it down, Annienal looked around nervously. "Um... have Calamity and Lind left?" Annienal murmurs.

"Yes they have," Skrall tipped his hat from over his eyes where he had been snoozing in a big chair near the fireplace. "With that amount of racket, we're liable to have another one of those mutinies soon."

"There was a previous mutiny? When?" Annienal began to light an incense candle with her fingers as she listened to the ogre.

"Long time ago, before any of us joined. The stories are still shrouded in mystery about all the proceedin's." Skrall removed his pipe from his satchel before lighting it. "This hall was full to the brim with heroes, but something set them against each other, murderin', back stabbin', lyin', cheatin'." The ogre let a smoke ring wander its way among the rafters. "By the time all of us arrived, this place was practically deserted."

Tesni walked back into the hall. The sights and smells were mostly familiar, they were calling to mind a thought of home. As ever, there was food and drink to be had, she picked some up and chose a seat.

Annie thought about what Skrall said, about the current situation surrounding her and hearing about the current feuding houses. "Do you think it'll happen again?"
