Jebediahs Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Skrall strode back into the hall. On his way upstairs, the ogre paused at the quest board, mumbling under his breath. "A novelist huh? I'd bet a better orator would come in handy for the Wolfgang." The hunter signed up fro Quest 144 before continuing to the bar. Ordering a tankard of ale Skrall passed Alfred, in a lowered voice the ogre questioned the golem, "Where is your master, I wish to speak with him." The golem's mind was not accustomed to subterfuge so he dropped his "act" before his performance even began. This ogre could be trusted and the Heroes of the Hall were smart enough to view the roster and quickly dissect my attempt at deception. Besides, it would unnecessarily convolute future quest progression should I maintain the pretense of being merged with En Sabah Nur. "He is there." Alfred pointed towards the bird hopping from table to table, picking and pecking at left overs that weren't cleared fast enough. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Skrall looked past the crow and then gave the golem a quizzical look "Are ya foolin' me? He's turned himself invisible?" Quote

The Chosen Minifigure Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 The door to Heroica Hall creaked open, and a shadow coalesced inside despite the sun shining outside. As the door swung closed, this shadow seemed to step into being, and a battered Half-Elven mage stepped into the hall. Ignoring any looks he might have been getting, the Half-Elf slid tiredly over to the board. Scrawling his name on the sheet for Quest #144, he also scrawls a note on an empty piece of paper, pinning it to the board before slumping dejectedly into a chair. It was at this point that anyone still looking would have seen the last few shadows disperse from around his head, and a scar become plainly visible. Those who had quested with him had never seen it before, and it was certainly not obtained at the so-called Fields of Glory. So where had it come from? Mencot Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 (edited) Keliim and his wolf returns to the Hall after visiting the library, in search for books on hunting and destroying powerful demons. He had found some ways of merging the right gems in powerful weapons but his research wasn´t done yet. He walks to the tavern counter, sits down. He orders a couple of meads, some chicken and piece of raw meat. The big man glups one of the mead mugs, throws the meat to the wolf and starts eating the chicken. Avalanche frowns at Warlen's grim expression, "I've got a while, please, begin." While he's saying this, a mysteriously levitating quill hovers over to the quest-board and signs the unsuspecting yeti's name up for Quest #146. Warlen sighs ruefully, and commences his narrative. "Many years ago, I was just a lad, living among my people (the elves), but never truly accepted. For ages and ages I trained, with the eventual goal of being Archmage. But one day…" --- "Warlen! Eltumiel! Merielle! Follow me!" The older elf was followed by the three younger ones as he ran towards the small gathering of huts at the rear of the settlement. Warlen glanced at the darkening sky as a huge, shimmering dark dragon swept by. The older elf, Thuriel, hastily knocked the three younglings to the ground in an attempt to keep them safe, but the ancient dragon just swooped past, ignoring them completely. As he rose shakily to his feet, Warlen shuddered with fear as he thought of the great and terrible beast he had just witnessed. --- "Of course, I didn't die that day, or any soon. And that dragon, which I knew as Nebulae, stayed in the area for a long while, to me at the very least. A bunch of heroes came by in the weeks to come; Harmon Kyree, Amnir Gerelial, and many more. One day, however, someone different came. A swashbuckling young rogue know to us all as… Quarion." Ooc-To be continued. If you like, you can assume a break in the talk now. Quote
