Had she chosen to fight us at the Necropolis, I would have had no qualms in ending her and sending what remained of her soul to the Wanderer for Judgement. But one must draw the line somewhere, and I chose to place mine before cold blooded execution under no ones law but our own. We had given her our word on safe conduct back to the city if she came willingly. She kept her word and we kept ours. If she crosses my Path again with evil intent, I will have no such compunction to stay my hand.

Mhinak receives a letter from his distant relatives informing him that he needs to come home, it is important. After reading the letter, he bundles up some him possessions in four separate parcels and drinks a pint of mead. He looks for those who he calls friends in the hall.

He approaches Bobby and hands him the parcel with his name on it. Inside it contains: 81 Gold, Merman Stylish Gel (Deals Enamoured effect to female gender; consumable), and a Skeleton Decoy.

He approaches Kiray and hands her the parcel with her name on it. Inside it contains: 81 Gold, Flameproof Armor (SP:1, no longer flameproof; bodywear, suitable for anyone; Loaned from Kiray), and a Grand Potion.

Finally he approaches Miderun and hands her the final parcel with her name on it. Inside it contains: 81 Gold, a Grand Potion, and Serpent Scales (Grants Reinforced and Nimble-effects for the duration of one battle when consumed).

"She didn't fight?" kiray repeats. "Well, I guess I can see why you'd try to be compassionate."

"Um, Mhinak, are you sure about this?" she asks before even opening the parcel. Finaly after the dwarf is gone she opens it and puts all of the items in her pack. This feeling of having much gold still astounded her.

I second this question. But if you are sure about this. He takes the parcel and looks threw the stuff before it is pocketed.

She did not, she could have ordered her minions to attack and she did not. Throlar and Althior both first offered her Sanctuary if she surrendered. Sorrow and I backed up their proclamations of protection if she did not force us to continue with further bloodshed.

I appreciate the sentiment, May the Wanderer Guide your Path.

"Pretty reasonable for a person who seemed hell-bent on ruining Eubric."

Shortly after the dwarf left the hall, a large unknown steel figure walks into the hall. The noises of cogs and gears turning can be heard with each steps it takes, practically knocking stools over due to his size. He does not acknowledge that. He finds an open area to stand at.

Turning his head to see what was making the noise. He said:

What the hell is that?

Maybe I should find out who or what made "it".

Vindsval looks at the clanking thing that walked into the hall. While he now feels a strange affinity for the automata, things did not go well the last time he met some.

The corpulent automaton heads over to the questboard, still not mindful of the stools in his way. He carves his name, Goliath, signing up for Quest #150 before he heads back to his little section in the hall. He looks across the room at all of the heroes curiously. Possibly wondering why everyone is small except for the half-giant with one natural arm? Nonetheless, he seems intrigued.

"I'm surprised we haven't seen any mages recently. Where'd they all go?"

"Right, they were all want'n t'be barbarians instead. What about bein' barbaric is't so appeain'?"

Throlar strode over to the questboard, looking at the announcements in silence.

Finally he signed up for quest 150 before looking at another announcement.

"Hmm, is Monk Pretzel here?"

"The smell?"

Goliath overhears the conversation about Mages and Barbarians, curious to know if they are talking about him. With a deep roaring voice, he speaks,

Kiray turns to automaton; it had been some time since she had interacted with one. The last one she had met was actually somewhat cute. This one was just... a goliath. Maybe the other one was cute because it was around her height. Still, she hoped it would respond to her how the last one did. She starts, trying to replicate the robotic tone, "GREETINGS. SOME MAGES HAVE BEEN HELPFUL. IN MY OWN TRAVELS."

Monk's voice catches her attention. "Didn't even see you there."

"The hall is bustling full of loudmouths these days that it's easy to not notice those who keep to themselves.

"Did you just get back from a quest recently? Or have you been taking it slower? Is Nerwen in Eubric right now, I don't see her in the Hall or marketplace."
