Oh, dear, it appears like I've been picked on another quest, and with Ezeran again. Are you on the quest too, sir? I'm sure we would have ever such a wonderful time, and you could tell me all sorts of stories too."

Good luck out there, everyone. Especially you, Ezeran. You don't have me backing you up now. Torald jokes, but deep inside it hurts to see his friend leave without him. I'll be waiting for you with a nice mulled wine. He raises his pint and watches everyone leave.

"Oh, no, Torald! You won't be joining us? But who will clobber the bad guys when you're gone? Maybe you can sneak along or pretend to be me while hiding me in your bag. Hee, hee! I'm sure another quest will come along soon. There are always many people who need help."

[Yzalirk]

Goliath noisily leaves the hall to begin his first quest.

[Dragonfire]

"No. I signed up fo-" Blizzard turns around and sees he wasn't picked. No. I not picked. Maybe I spell Blizzard's name wrong? I not good common..." Blizzard lets out a series of roars, growls, and grunts in Yeti.

<But I can speak Yeti very well. Most people just assume that I'm dumb because I don't speak fluent common.>

"Oh, right...." Avalanche feels slightly guilty for assuming that his new acquaintance was lacking in intelligence, "Maybe you should brush up on your Common skills then? The library will help with that, I'm sure."

Blizzard walks off towards the library.

"Why did you need to send him off to the library? I mean, um, did you even ensure he knows what books are? He might rip them apart and do who knows what with the paper..." Annienal frequently turned between Avalanche and the direction of the library, a paranoid look in her eyes.

"Just because he's a yeti, you assume he's uncivilised? I can assure you, he's not stupid; he's just not as proficient in the common tongue as we are. And I knew about books before I came here, which I assume he does too. Anyway, if he does anything stupid in the library, the librarians can handle it," Avalanche replies.

"I never said I was worried because he's a yeti. I'm just... paranoid. Vast wealths of knowledge have been lost for more blatantly stupid reasons." Annienal quietly says, shifting in her seat. "Besides, I don't think the librarian is in at the moment. I, um, think he's off somewhere." Annienal's mind went to dark, insidious places at the mention of the librarian being out, causing her to shudder.

What's this Library-thing you keep talking about? Where I grew up, nobody ever mentioned a place named like that. So, is it a nice place? O, I'm Torald Waruelf, but call me Torald. I don't think we have been properly introduced, have we?

"Um... my name's Annienal, Annienal Anavir, and no we haven't met, but, um, what do you mean nobody mentioned a place named a library? It's a building where books or periodicals are held to allow others to read them." Annie had never heard of anyone who hadn't heard about a library, and the thought that someone had confused her. "I'm sorry, where are you from, um, Torald?"

From the North, somewhere. Tiny tribes that traveled around, walking miles a day, just to keep up with the animals we hunted. You know, Giant Rabbits and the like, very dangerous. But most of the tribe fell victim of a rather nasty disease, which, somehow, spared me. Some old Gods up there probably decided that I had more to do here. Anyway, as there was only me left, I decided to leave the North and after a long journey South, I stumbled upon this place. He looks around. And I quite like it here. So, I would love to visit the library and learn to read properly. Because as of right now, my reading skills are very bad. But enough about me, tell me something about you, Miss Anavir. Beautiful name, if I may say.

Annie felt put on the spot and bit her lip before stumbling her way to an answer.

"Um... well I came here after getting removed from Trost Military Academy. They said I wasn't "up to their standard" so they sent me away. I had to figure out what to do with my self seeing how my parents were all knights.... that and I guess I sort of find dragons fascinating. Really fascinating. You ever seen one before, Torald?" Annienal leans in, looking giddy at the thought of massive, winged reptiles.

Sorry to hear that. But you do make a terrific hero, right? Maybe you were destined to become a hero and do great deeds that way. He stops a moment. Dragons, yes. I once saw one, but it was very far away. Still, it's shadow blocked out the sun completely. It's mighty roar shattered my ears, even though I was miles away from it. But a real, beautiful dragon, I'd love to see one up close. Not to fight it. One swipe with it's paw or tail and we are goners. No, to admire it, maybe befriend it. What do you say, as there are no quests at the moment, we head out and travel until we find a dragon?

Keliim being bored was getting some amusement watching this situation from his table with interest. To see if Annie would flipout soon on the that barbarian clearly trying to hit on her.

I drank from is mead and sat back in the chair.

Annienal shook her head.

"I'm, um, going to have to decline. We'd be traveling quite awhile until we saw a dragon. The closest ones I believe are Dastan, and I don't have the funds to go that way just to get a glimpse at them. Besides, some of the heroes here actually own dragons, so if you, um, wait here long enough you'll see one." Annienal stated, making an attempt to deflect the obvious advance.

Very well. Then how about you show me that library?

Before the whole situation gets anymore awkward, the big man lets out a loud laugh and says to Torald.

"Howst 'bout ye my fellow warrior join us, me ' nd Boris here for a drink instead. I habt seen Annie fight, Ye wouldst nay believe it but she isn't anythin' tae be around when she gets angry. One hel o' a fighter I'll tell ye th't!"

He raises his meadmug.

That might be a good idea. Drinking is better suited for me then trying to make an attempt at flirting. To Miss Anavir he says: I'm not going to bother you any longer, if you think I'm too pushy. If you change your mind about searching dragons, let me know.

"I'll be Keliim." He lifts up his mug of mead and then drinks it right of in one gulp, and lets out a loud laugh again. "Haha 'nd ye gonna be up for a really competition. I will go 'nd fetch a few more mugs 'nd then ye canst tell us yer name 'nd what brings ye tae Eubric? Been h're long?

Annienal nods towards Torald as he walks away, loosening her shoulders and breathing deeply. She turns to Avalanche as he asks her a question.

"Oh, right." Avalanche realises that he is being rather insensitive to others' thoughts and feelings. He adds, "If you want, I could go after him and make sure he doesn't mess up anything else. Oh, and what do you mean by 'blatantly stupid reasons'? I'm not too well versed on the history of Olegaia as it is."

Hoke finally made his way into the Hall, not sure quite how to take recent events. He quickly scanned the Hall, seeing many new faces he had never seen before and a few familiar ones. He approached Dyric and sat down beside him.

"That was an interesting journey," he says almost absently.

Torald grabs one of the mugs and chugs it down. He closes his eyes. This is the good stuff. With those words, he grabs another mug, this time taking a small sip and enjoying the taste.

"Aye, I heard some o' it but didn´t wanna be rude. So ye been on many quests th'n, fought many battles?"

He chugs down a couple of meads.

Em jerked awake at his table, briefly disoriented before shaking his head to clear it. He absentmindedly wiped the trickle of drool from his chin, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. How long had he been sleeping? Too long, apparently. He tapped at his belongings, making sure they were all accounted for, and grabbed something to drink.

"Libraries have been burnt to the ground due to be individual beliefs that their tomes are unholy or contain information that could corrupt youth. The yeti's lack of knowledge is different than ignorance. If, um, that makes any sense."

Avalanche ponders this for a moment, then replies, "But surely there are some books and libraries that deserve to be destroyed - books of dark magic, for instance?"
