"Partly yes, but not 'the kind' you're looking for. Look, I'm sorry your homeland has suffered some kind of injustice but there is a city full of people with that kind of experience. You are sadly not unique in that department. So why are you here? Heroica is not an organisation that deals in vengeance."

"My reasons really are none of your business but me being here might just give my people the incentive to interact with outsiders."

"A friendly tip though, asking impolite questions and not accepting the answers - especially with that kind of argument - won't make your career as a diplomat a great one." Ezeran shrugs and returns once again to his mulled wine.

Finishing his mulled wine, Ezeran stands up and leaves the hall.

Addok-Zo scowls at the sorcerer as he leaves. Perhaps he was right, perhaps he was not. He begins to look around the hall for no good reason other than curiosity.

"Ezeran's friendly. He's not bad or mean." I say to the newcomer. "What's your name?"

Addok-Zo studies the seemingly friendly child. He is baffled to see someone so young in this line of work. "My name is Addok-Zo, or just Addok for short." He tries to brush off the terrible height pun in hopes of not upsetting the child. "Aren't you a bit young for this line of work..?"

"It's funny. Everyone seems to say that. Is anyone too young to be a hero to those around them?"

"Well, no, I suppose. It just seems rather... unusual."

Ezeran enters the hall again. He sees Petaldan and smiles. "Evening young master knight, it's good to see you. Have you been able to clean your shield since that awful business with the imps? You did real good there!" The sorcerer sits down next to Petaldan.

"Oh...yes, quite. In fact, I was just taking a break from polishing it right now." I say, before taking a sip of water and waving toward the shield lying against my chair.

"It received an awful lot of hits in that last fight."

Annienal had grown comfortable in the quietness that had enveloped the hall. She winced at each fist pounded on a table, and each frenzied shout from the horribly disfigured humanoid. She closed her book calmly and took her helmet off. She winced as she noticed he was shouting at the man with the stomach in his torso. That was one individual that still unsettled her. She kept her mouth closed and merely watched the discussion unfold from the safety of her table.

Addok-Zo approaches the bartender. In his deep and menacing raspy voice, he speaks. "Water... please." He grabs the cup filled with water and heads back to where he was sitting. He practically throws his hand cannon onto the tabletop. The thing appears to have been modified with a bunch of salvaged equipment hence its rusted and overall dirty look. He begins to tinker around with it while occasionally taking sips of his water.

Jinnipher strode through the doors of Heroica Hall several weeks after the storm had passed. She immediately posted a sign to the quest board:

Looking for Everlasting Venoms or any other item of the sort. Talk to the moon elf for details.

She proceeded to the bar and ordered a mead, taking note of the other occupants.

I look around the hall, and spy the pretty elf in the shiny armour sitting quietly by herself.

Approaching, I bow politely and address Annienal.

"That is a rather shiny peace of armour. I have seen very few people here concerned about keeping their equipment looking so sparkling. My name is Petaldan Parfenius, by the way. What's yours?"

Overhearing the child's remark about shiny equipment, Addok-Zo laughs. It wasn't overall loud but loud enough so it could be heard. He finishes with tweaking his weapon and drinks the last of the water. He slams it on the table and signals to the bartender for more water.

The doors open slowly, for the first time in many, sun shines brightly enough for Vindsval's enormous shadow to be noticed amidst those in the hall.

If it good to be back within these halls, it has been a great while.

He walks as carefully as always amidst the tables and stools searching for an empty keg on which to rest. He sees one, his usual in fact, standing near the bar, a heavy blanket folded into a cushion upon it.

Excellent in deed. Sheharizad, is there anything new you would tempt me with on this glorious day?

He sits, accepts the offered quarter cask of mystery beverage and takes a deep draught. A contented sigh escapes his lips and his eyes close with pleasure. Who ever thought one such as he would find a home such as this?

While finishing his second cup of water, Addok-Zo notices the large figure enter the hall. He pays him little attention until the giant approaches closer. Addok-Zo notices the mechanical arm the stranger dons. "Bakk oukd qur." He mutters as the stranger passes to go sit down, staring at him. After a few seconds, Addok-Zo gets up and approaches the giant cautiously with his hand cannon out. "You don't look like a mechanical-man but you have the arm of one. What's your story?" He asks while still clenching his weapon.

Vindsval looks up from his drink to see the barrel of a miniature cannon pointed at his face.

More of this? How many times must I save the cities of men before this is no longer the welcome I receive?

He reaches out with the "Mechanical Arm" in question, places the palm against the opening of the barrel and closes his fingers around it.

If you would keep your plaything, and your head, Manling I would caution you to not point it at any of those who reside within the place. I know not the scent upon you, so I cannot not say of your home, but such actions are looked down upon within these walls. I would gladly tell my tale, but I shall not do so above the barrel of your cannon.

He tightens his grip on the hand cannon, just ever so slightly. A small groan escapes the device as he stresses the metal.

Am I understood?

Several weeks after the passing of Immortalis, a tired - but surprisingly muscular - Munchkin walked down the street in front of the Hall. When he came to the door, he turned and paused, resting his hand on the frame. He had seen so many things since had first come here. "Star Lizards," master thieves, dragons...so many things, so many places.

Tiredly raising himself, he stepped through the door, and seeing, thankfully, that there were no jobs listed, he found a corner near the Half Giant and Wakorian, and, propping a board up on the counter, he comfortably tilted the Angel Helmet down over his eyes.

Addok-Zo jerks the hand cannon from the giant's grip and lowers the weapon. "Yeah, understood." He snarls. "Now speak about your arm, automata lover."

Vindsval grins widely as the little brown human tugs and pulls on his weapon, before releasing it with a flick.

You presume much to demand information from me little Manling. I have known Ice Wargs with more manners than you. I am no slave to be ordered about. Be on your Path. Return when you have learned courtesy and perhaps we will speak.

Keliim was sleeping at his table, dreaming away, not alart about what happened around him. The dream was again one of his oh so familiar nightmares. Keliim could find himself surrounded by darkness,he was trapped. He could not breathe, the darkness was tearing warmth, life from his body. The pain, the feeling of his lungs without air, he was trapped in this void... yes he knew this place, he had been here before. As always, it was the same dream, the same place when he fell asleep. He walks forward in the void, the darkness surrounds him even more as he proceed forwards, the terror of helplessness as he feel that death would be approaching.

Suddenly Keliim snaps out of his nightmare as always, gradually wake, shaking off the shreds of the dreams that terrorize him everynight. Cold sweat runs down his forehead has he looks around the Heroica hall. How long had he slept, he took a sip from his mug. The brewage was warm, bitter and bland but he drank it eitherway to clear his dry throat.

He looked under the table, he could see that his direwolf had left the hall, no wonder if he had been away for a longer time. Keliim stood up, brushed the dust from his clothes and walked down to the board to see if there was anything interesting there.

He can see that his not for items for sale is still there,

he dusted it of and sorted the stuff out on the table again, including a few evil things he didn´t wanna hold on to anymore.

Addok-Zo chuckles. "Courtesy?" He bursts out in laughter. When his laughter subsides, he points to his armor. It appears to be rusted and jury-rigged together. "See this? This used to be one of those mechanical-men. Now why should I show courtesy to someone who possesses the appendage of one of those abominations?"

Vindsval looks to the most recent notice.

How much for you Crimson haze my friend?

Lind stood up, grunted, and walked across to the two arguing Heroes.

"Because this is Heroica Hall. You show courtesy because we're all heroes. You're welcome to disagree with someone completely, and you're welcome to admit it - but you use courtesy when you do it."

"Just what I was thinking...

Obsidian shards are pretty reasonably priced, too, but less useful."
