Hoke looks on in slight shock, wondering exactly what happened.

"Would someone care to explain to me why a member of a notorious criminal gang was doing within the ranks of this Hall?"

Kiray looks on, her hand slowly drifitng to her sword, but she catches herself before drawing it in the Hall. The Copper Fox a member of the Wolfgang? How did she not know that? Not many knew her affiliation, but she slowly had let some know. But these new people, they couldn't know. What would happen to her if they found out? Diana?

She turns to Monk and whispers, "Who's next? It looks like these two are starting to clean house. The Dragonlord? Bonapartes?"

"What gang?  Copper Fox has been here at least as long as we have known about this place.  Who let him in to begin with?"

"This so called Wolfgang. Bad enough these houses are tearing this city apart, without a third group mucking things up. Don't know if he was part of 'em before or after he took on leadership."

The giant picks up the veteran by his shirt collar and throws him out the door.

"Jack Altraite, I hereby banish you from Heroica!" 

Couldn't help but wonder that was about, as he looked on in silence.

I rest my head upon my pillow. Although still choked up, I sounded oddly serene.

"Thank you two very... very... much for taking the time to visit. I'm sorry - ah, I've been saying that too much, but I truly am - but... but I am feeling... rather tired."

"Thank you once again," I speak in hushed tones. "We will meet again, if Helvetia wills it."

"And he fooled us into saying that he was merely posing." I shake my head in dismay at my own naivete. "I must warn you that there is another, the 'feathered serpent' I believe they call him. Who has also claimed to be veteran of heroica. I know that he too is in collusion with the Wolfgang. I have not seen him around the hall recently, though. He is an orc."

"Hopefully we do meet again soon." Karie responds. A smile purses across her lips. "Not too soon, though.

Sorrow, I'll stay with you until it's time. There's nothing left to worry about. I'm... not going to leave until you're gone." Karie's smile turns desperate looking as she begins to sway.

"That is indeed grave news, fear not all will be made right."

The sound of heavy feet landing outside the hall can be heard. A cold wind blows as the doors swing open to the imposing figure of a women dressed in scarlet. A halberd stained with black blood is swung over the cloaked figure's back and she carries a helm crested with a writhing wyrm. She surveys Heroica Hall.

"Apologies my lovelies, got caught up putting down a dragon. Wanderberg, I hope all is in order."

"Yes, but your suspicions are confirmed, Yuliana."

"Very well then." The woman mounts the stairs and addresses the assembled heroes her gaze stern and unflinching.

"I am Yuliana TiamateusIt, the Golden Dragon, and it has come to my attention, that this miserable excuse for Heroica has fallen into the worst of plagues: corruption, infighting, and factions. Now I learn, not only among its members but its leadership as well. You are lead by members of the very families who seek to tear this city apart. Each of them will be dealt with accordingly, however that still leaves you lot. Therefore..." the Golden Dragon pauses, "I am suspending the service of every active member of this organization, you are to leave now. A tribunal will be established in the coming weeks to determine your eligibility based upon the records of your activity within this organization. However until that point you are all banned from Heroica."

At this point the Doomsayer returns from the training room and with the Walking Mountain takes his place behind the Golden Dragon.

Expecting her back home. Expecting? What was I expecting from Olegaia now? Just two days ago I was told I would be counting my time left in hours, not days. But here I was. I was lucky to hang on for this long. But it wouldn't be much longer, now, would it. My eyelids shut and I exhale.

"...thank you."

An hour, two hours, three hours pass. I had no words left to say. It was simply breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out...

The fourth hour. My hand clenches into a fist, slowly, as if searching for some invisible weapon, before peacefully unfurling palm down on the sheet. Minutes. Counting in minutes now. Breathe in... breathe out. In... Out. Seconds left. Ticking away.

Until all was still.

Hoke takes one more drink from his tankard, sets it down, gathers his gear, and unceremoniously leaves the Hall.

Karie's eyes begin to swell as she begins to cry, her breath becoming heavy and short. She moves away from the bedside, breathing heavily for a few minutes, attempting to compose herself. She takes several deep breaths before standing up, her eyes not moving from the still corpse on the bed.

"Dyric.." Karie turns to face him, looking distraught. Her attempts to wrestle her emotions were clear. "I'm going to arrange for a coroner to arrive. I'll meet up with you in a bit. I've... got to go over a couple of things.

Thank you for coming with me. I appreciate it. Sincerely."

Kiray levels a hard gaze at the Golden Dragon She then picks up her belongings and leaves.

As the uproar starts to go on. Germ thinks about asking some questions. But instead just made sure he had all his things before he left. All the while thinking none of his questions would even get answered.

What's all this about? Disbanded? Banned from Heroica? But this is my only home. Torald lets out a big, long sigh. Guess I'll wait for Ezeran and Petaldan to show up, maybe they know what to do.

Spying Torald at the door, Petaldan inquires as to what is going on.

Rone looks out the window and notices a commotion arising further in-town, towards the docks.

Is that- 

Karie, make things quick, if you are able. I think something is going down at the Hall.

Karie notices the commotion going on near the docks as Dyric draws her attention to it. She turns back to Sorrow and grabs a spare blanket, moving it over his body.

"Give me a moment to inform the neighbour. I know some people who can handle this." Karie darts out of the house momentarily, making her way next-door. After a few minutes, Karie returns, her approach to the house signified as stairs to the porch creak. 

"Sorrow'll be moved to the cemetery, and his estate dealt with once we've figured out what's going on. Dyric. you ready?"

 

[Asphalt]

By the Wanderer, you cannot complain that you are trodden into the path if you throw yourselves under my feet.

Vindsval curses silently as he attempts to avoid trampling the "heroes" scurrying through the door.

He slams an iron first against the wall to gain everyone's attention.

What is going on in here?

Collecting her belongings, along with a few books snagged from the library, Annienal ducks as a green fist slams gainst the wall. She beams with joy as she looks up to 
notice Vindsval as the one who's person is attached to the hand.

"Oh, uh... Vindsval! It's good to see you! I, uh... well..." Annienal's joy soon depletes as she looks back at the emptying hall.

"We, uh... got kicked out."

[Asphalt]

My apologies little one, As always it does me good to see your face as well Annienal of the Dragon.

He arches an eyebrow for the briefest of moments.

We were . . . . kicked out?
